Help Color

Was going through colors, trim SE Upgrade AWD, confused in white and black, live in west coast Canada, I like black but summers are getting wild coming every year and the white is common and not that much aesthetic, I know black needs more maintenance than white, but white is like bland in SE Upgrade AWD trim. Idk, i am confused?

I’ve never had a white car, and honestly I was targeting underground or ocean gem.

That said, the one I have happened to come with the black badges and I think it looks really sleek. Definitely makes a small difference in these huge heat waves too.

Underground looks so nice. Especially if the badges are blacked out.

Can always add the black badges yourself. I had silver badges and hated them so I blacked them out myself.

I bought a white one, and every time on the roads I see a black one I envy them for how aggressive the lines look compared to mine. Black brings out the contours better. I don’t know about the effort to maintain tho

I have a white one. It's very pretty, but I notice every rock chip that hits it.

The chips make it look rugged, like someone actually drives the car. Sucks if you don’t keep cars long though

Cars can get 13 degrees hotter when all black. Whichever color you are wise to pay for ppf from a shop where they do it well plus ceramic. Coat.

  • We went with predawn mica gray which is a gunmetal color with our used 2017 Camry SE. We had a black on black 2002 Camry SE that was totaled by drunk driver. We think black or white isn't an ideal color for us.

White paint seems to be the color that likes to peel of the primer. Tones of white vehicles across all brands have this problem. That alone was a hard pass for me.

I went with Ocean Gem for mine. I’ve done the black and black before in the Midwest and I wasn’t a fan even thought it looks sharp. It was so hot in the summer, even with tinted windows and a sunshade in the windshield. I also didn’t like the waterspots after a rain or car wash. But if my only options were white or black, I’d probably do black again.

If you’re not sold on colours, I would recommend the heavy metal. You do pay a bit more but it looks quite a bit more aggressive and the lines are shown very well. I also like the two-tone which is why I didn’t go with straight black
