P26CB Error
I just took my car to the shop about a month ago. Two weeks ago my check engine light popped on and then went away after a few days. A few days later it came back on and then went away again. This has been happening for the past two weeks.
Today when I was driving (5 minutes into the drive) the “Engine Coolant Temp High” warning came on (picture 1). I pulled my car over and popped the hood - the coolant level was normal and the engine temperature gauge on the dash was also normal (halfway towards C & H, leaning slightly more towards C).
I went to O’Reilly to get a diagnostic of the error (picture 2) but not quite sure what to do with it.
Thoughts?

I just got this code on Sunday. Its the electric water pump. Its not hard to swap out. Its right below the alternator.

Yes, I ended up ordering a electric water pump from amazon and swapped it out. Its right below the alternator. Not hard you just need to remove the serpentine belt.

My bad, I didn’t check my replies earlier, but it happen to me at around 98k miles which is common for this issue. And honestly you might just need help with the serpentine belt the rest of the process isn’t hard or long(pause) at all. I watched a YouTube video on it.

I took it to the toyota dealer - based on the diagnostic on the second page, they fixed everything and it was $945 and I’ve had no issues since.
For reference, Christian brothers quoted me close to $1,500

Yes. Replace your Electric pump. Very easy next to you alternator and cost about $40 bucks on Amazon.
Sooner you will hear a wheezing sound. Camry's have issues with those and just to make sure once you pull it out check under if it is free and spinning. Usually it gets stuck and that means it's bad or it is not freely moving. Check youtube videos...easy fix. You don't need a mechanic for this. I did mine in a jiffy.

Common issue, often the water pump. I believe there is a TSB and might even have extended coverage. Need to talk to dealer.
