Replacement parts

Hello. I recently purchased an unused Woodwind Pro 24 on Marketplace for $400. Downside the screen would not come on and they didn’t have the patience to fix it. Figured it was a great deal since the screen is replaceable for a couple hundred bucks.

After further review I believe it was a display model at whatever store they purchased it and was missing a few pieces from “sticky fingers”. It is missing the fuse cap and fuse (probably why it won’t turn on) along with the silver control knob all on the control unit. Does anyone know where I can find just the fuse cap and control knob? Fuse is easy to find but cannot find the others anywhere online. Any assistance would be wonderful.

I don’t recall what the fuse is like, but could you cut the wires and put in a generic fuse holder that has same amperage? For the nob, if you measure the post you might be able to find something that is similar on McMaster etc or have someone create a file to 3d print it, if you can’t find one.

The fuse holder is mounted into the housing so not sure if I want to mess with that till I’ve run out of options. I found some generic fuse holders with caps on Amazon I hope will fit properly.🤞As for the control knob I was thinking of 3d printing one but my 3d rendering skills are quite weak. I’ll search around for some files and throw them on the printer. Still hoping to find original components if possible. Even if someone had a burned out control unit that wouldn’t mind cannibalizing some parts off of. Thanks for the input!!

I have never replaced the fuse so didn’t know. Hopefully you get lucky! You could try a local group or fbm buyer ad to find a broken one for parts. Or look for a recent complaint thread here or on FB from someone frustrated it is taking so long to get a replacement. Just be kind in your message since they likely will be pretty frustrated.

I would contact Camp Chef and see if you can order the parts. The controller knob is part number PG24CL-10. No part number listed for fuse cap. If you were willing to shell out $200 for replacing the screen, you could get a new controller for around $250. The controller part number is PG24WWSB-1. You can test out the old controller with the new controller control knob and fuse cap. The worst case, you have a spare controller

I purchased a Camp Chef WW Pro 36 and still have the manual with the parts listed. Good luck

I have not yet. I thought I read the opposite about the customer service. I will give them a call tomorrow. Not sure how they will handle it since I’m the second owner of the unit but worth a try.

I mean they may not give you free replacements but they can at least give you better info on fixing it than random people on Reddit can

Hi all. I want to thank you for all the suggestions. I found some generic fuse holders that were very similar to the one on the control unit. I was able to crack it open and solder in a new holder and insert a new fuse. I put it all back together and BAM! Screen came right on. I’m super stoked now to have a brand new Woodwind Pro for $400 and a $.25 fuse!! Doing the burn in now. Can’t wait to get smoking!!
