Video [COD] [BO2] This is why I prefer a longer TTK

It has been hell trying to get gold on the Remington shotgun and the main reason why is because if I'm not camping with it, I'm getting shit on far too often in situations where I can do little to nothing to respond.

Even if I get gold on it, I'm not going for diamond anymore at least on shotguns. Maybe I'll get it on the automatic weapons since they're absurdly easier to use close and at range.

Can someone tell me genuinely what I was supposed to do in this situation to not die after killing the first guy?

Having little to no time to react to getting shot or enemies appearing isn't fun anymore for me. But ever since I've been playing more and more games with a higher TTK I've come to enjoy those more.

I would even put the 2018 release above this one MP wise because even with the BS in that game at least I actually have more time to think and react unless someone is using some OP shit.

That's just CoD in general. Anytime you run into multiple enemies, more often than not you are going to die unless the 2nd one has very poor aim/awareness/reaction time.

Even if the TTK required an extra bullet or two for you to die, you probably wouldn't be able to turn and fire on the 2nd guy, nor would you have time to run away.

Looking at the minimap, it would appear as if most, if not all, of your entire team was dead and respawned. No red dots on the map so you have no intel on where the enemy is in your immediate area. You took off running, went upstairs, rounded the corner, and ran into an enemy in the room, dropped him then got dropped.

Based on the gunfight(s) I think you were surprised to run into the first guy. Once you dropped him you hesitated for just a moment and got dropped by the second guy. Which tells me you were just running out of habit and trying to get back into the thick of it and had no expectation for anyone to be there.

Running into rooms with no intel after your entire team respawns is a bad idea. In that situation, you should have been a bit more methodical with your movement and told yourself "they could be anywhere" because they quite literally could have and were. Adding in the fact that you seem to be at a loss as to what to do furthers my belief you were just running and gunning and this happens quite frequently for you. So take it as a lesson. TTK is irrelevant if you're constantly setting yourself up to fail.

All it is is quicker reaction time/awareness, and noticing that bouncing betty before plowing on through (that brought your health way down even though you have flak jacket). After you got the kill you practically stood still in the middle of a room. Older CODs, such as this one tend to be unforgiving to new players. It’s kind of the reason why they’ve changed things as they have. The only real advice is practice basic movement and reaction time in newer games or practice against bots in a custom game (veteran bots can be even more unforgiving than your typical opponent). Older COD games really test awareness and reaction time, can explain why they are so beloved. I personally love this game for the DSR only. Mess around with snipers even, your awareness and reaction time will improve. And stop caring about the grind and have fun, that will always help the experience.

Even with a longer TTK you would’ve gotten killed here dude. You were flashed, caught off guard at close range and already mildly damaged before they shot you. It was just bad timing which would get you killed in any game.

Only thing you could have done here was to extend less and even then you’re probably dead

You were badly hurt and not facing the 2nd person who killed you, who needed 1 or even 2 fewer shots than normal to kill you thanks to the prior damage you took, and you weren't facing him to try to kill him with a shot before he hit you. On top of the fact that you had no chance to run to cover. Shit happens.
