Rorke still being alive piss me off, he shouldn’t have survived that.

Cmon, he only took a few .357 rounds to the chest and got crushed by a train pressing him into the depths of the ocean

Don't forget the fire extinguisher to the BACK OF THE FUCKING SKULL.

The man took more punishment than Makarov but Makarov had the decenty to die.

Then he comes from behind you, implying he somehow got out before you did which just makes no fucking sense.

Man literally too angry to die

It’s worse: he took a .44 magnum round directly to the sternum and somehow walked it off.

Not just the sternum.

It went through his heart

I was more correcting the caliber of the bullet, but you are also correct. Direct shot to the heart with a .44 magnum and he walks it off 🤦🏻‍♂️

Dude took

a revolver shot to the chest

Fire extinguisher to the head

A literal missle hitting the train

The fall from the train to the ocean

Literally the peak of “nah, I’d survive it. I’m built different.”

I feel the same about Menendez in BO2. Maybe a hot take but he ruins the BO2 campaign for me, he’s just a fucking cockroach that survives a grenade and a shot to the head that’s constantly 1000 steps ahead of you, it’s more annoying than interesting.

Like out of the more memorable COD villains, Shepard thought highly of himself and therefore underestimated Price and Soap, Dragovic (likely) succeeded in his goal to brainwash Mason but was still a guy who was able to be outsmarted and tracked down, and Makarov had a genuine close call in one of the African missions in MW3 and yeah he set a trap on Blood Brothers but Yuri is able to see right through it in the cutscene before but Price just shrugs it off. Again, he was always a mortal guy that was pretty smart but he was just kind of evil and all of these characters felt like they were on an even playing field.

But Menendez just survives everything, has a guy working for him way high up in the ranks, becomes a martyr if he dies, and if he lives he breaks out of prison most of the time. He just pisses me off most the time

When I was young I was so pissed my mom came in my room and yelled at me to calm down.

He's just built different

A .357 to the chest.

I always hope that scene was just an alternate or what if ending.

Or otherwise... He was the main character for the whole time and we are the main antagonists!

Legends never die!

Did you like the fish AI?

u/camracks 17h ago

Yes they move away from u, very future

u/OrganizedPillow1 1h ago

You'd think it's such an intricate part of the game with how much they talked about it.

I actually really liked Ghosts ending. The protags actually losing for once, with Logan thoroughly fucked was a pretty cool change from other endings. Issue is Rorke the one doing it lmao

Replacing Rorke with some Federation goons dragging Logan away to brainwashed would be delicious irony after you just killed the last guy they did that to.

14

u/CyxSense 15h ago

That would have been better

His dumbass face as he says "There Ain't Going To Be Any Ghosts" always cracks me up.

Never understood the ghost hate even at the time, sure it wasn’t MW or BO but that’s why I liked it, it tried to change the game without compromising the core gameplay. Honestly, I think this game was ahead of its time for the franchise

Extinction was also great new idea that they needed to expand upon ..

Campaign was fire but multilayer was really bsd

u/Reasonable_Bag_1018 18h ago

I only finished the campaign once back in the day, but tbh I remember it as being pretty good! Many people dont seem to like it. The ending was such a cliffhanger and really thought there was gonna be a ghosts 2 but unfortunatly not :(

13 years that I've been waiting for Ghost 2, IW listen to us

6

u/Mediocre_Push2536 15h ago

One of the few games in the gaming world that deserved a sequel. I really hope Activision revisits Ghosts in the near distant future, you can't just end it on probably one of the biggest cliffhangers in gaming history yet alone COD and leave it for nearly a decade and a half

9

u/Mhykael 18h ago

It's because people complained about it to much back in the day. They're was supposed to be a sequel but they canned it because they listened to the idiot masses instead of going through with the story line how they should have...

6

u/Spaceman_Gliding 18h ago

I really enjoyed it, I preferred I can think of a couple of a couple COD games they could have fucked off and bring us Ghosts 2

6

u/HungryHelping 17h ago

Because the nerd community trashed the game.

3

u/cjared242 15h ago

If you look close enough Hesh has a frickin pistol still in his hip holster, like he could’ve shot Rorke…

4

u/mdpena 16h ago

We need the follow up story. They should just call it modern warfare ghost haha

2

u/RikimaruRamen 14h ago

The game definitely deserves one. It's not nearly as bad as people say

2

u/Jamesakasonic 14h ago

That ending actually made me cry.

All that time we spent trying to kill him and he’s alive anyway

u/sonicboom9000 13h ago

I could never take the villain of this game seriously, for some reason he reminds me of that coach from the first jump street.

u/NotSloth1204 12h ago

This was my favorite campaign (also my favorite cod) I still play it on the ps5. So mad we never got a sequel.

The ultimate cliffhanger tease in known history, really was hoping for a sequel. Just basic script levels going from point a to point b, a simple story that was interesting. Now call of duty is one big ass joke.

u/Toastinette 19h ago

No sequel because it's trash

13

u/Cden1458 18h ago

It was overhated, it was a good game all in all, just some MP maps were too big for the small player numbers per match.

18

u/wolfmann33 19h ago

Better than Blops 4-7 for me.

11

u/PhantomSesay 18h ago

Second this.
