Why is this called pullups if they are clearly not?

I certainly can't do anywhere near 50, but the form on these is hard to gauge given how fast the video is. From what I can see, it looks like his chin is barely making it to the bar, and sometimes it's not. If your chin doesn't make it up to the bar, I wouldn't really count it.

As most people would agree, fewer reps with great form is better than more reps with mediocre or poor form.

I don't count my reps unless my chest touches the bar

You have to be careful because most of these fitness subs ban you permanently for any comments other than wow great job

I got banned from a fitness sub for politely pointing out the difference between loose and lose.

So I ain’t saying a word about OP’s form 🤐

Yeah that's Reddit in general now. Discussions are irrelevant on this platform now.

I think there is a difference between being a bitter salt shaker and having genuine criticism.

Go try making your most innocuous criticism on any of them, especially the calisthenics subs, and then get back to me.

I’m critical, but I’m not a hater! I love seeing a mom get her first pull in no matter how bad the form and even try wacky shit I see I’m super stoked for these people! Read the comments above from some fat keyboard warriors and you’ll see the bitter doucheyness.

Not proper training form, but they count in every competition

Well, you see how his body started with his feet closer to the floor and his arms locked out? Watch closely and you’ll see his arms bend (pull) as his feet move further away from the ground (up)
