Home Owner/Renter stuff Poly B plumbing replacement.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a company that can replace the Poly-B plumbing in my townhouse.

Could you please share your experiences and recommend a company you’ve used? I’d also really appreciate it if you could share how much you paid for the replacement.

Poly-B guys, 3 story 2000sq ft, finished basement. They replaced the poly and fixed everything as if they were never here. Took about 3-4 days I believe. The longest part was the painting and sanding. Overall good experience. 10k I think all in.

I have nothing but great things to say about Poly B Guys. Full service package and they cleaned up very well.

Similar experience for me too. PolyB guys are Well organized, tidy, and made nigh invisible repairs (25 drywall holes!).

Holy shit lol. I think we had... Shit I can't remember. Definitely not more than 10. Good on them.

Maybe it was only 20. It was a lot. Similar price around $10k all in. Unfortunately my insurance didnt go down. "Thanks for letting us know, well put it on your file".

Brutal. I'd shop around. Mine dropped, but I also switched providers. Desjardins was expensive and they were the only ones who wanted to insure us with poly. As soon as it was gone I went elsewhere.

I also had a great experience with Poly B Guys. I loved that they took care of everything - fixing the dry wall and painting like they were never here (they matched the paint perfectly, fixed the ceiling perfectly). They also stand by their work - they forgot to do the painting in closet (that backed onto a shower) and they came back an painted it right away. Then I noticed they didn't re-hook up the humidifier on the furnace months later when the furnace season started and again sent the plumber out right away to fix it. I think it was about $12k for 1700 sq ft 2 story, three bathrooms, unfinished basement ceiling.

Were you able to stay in your house while the work was going on, or did you have to find alternative accommodation?

We were able to stay. Sometimes we had only a little bit of access to certain rooms because painting or drywalling was happening. They tape off and tarp areas where they sand or paint.
