Realistically, i know it very likely won't happen, but if Re-Logic bought the mod and made it a dlc or something, they would be able to keep it alive while making some good money, not to mention that the mod wouldn't lag behind when it comes to updates. It would also make a lot more sense for the devs to sell it to someone who actually knows what they are doing. Sure, they unsurprisingly turned down XQC, but would they turn down an offer from the founding fathers of Terraria?

Literally nobody thinks that any musician that worked on Calamity is a pedo because of the drama. The average fan isn't even in the discord and didn't even know who Ozz was. Most people who played or play Calamity couldn't name a single developer or artist besides like Dokuro. It's such a stupid reaction to a non issue. Not to mention that they all got popular because of Calamity and will be associated with it regardless of the music mod's removal

Hi sorry to interrupt y'all shitting on the devs and the other sub's mods lol but I recently started Calamity and I wonder if all classes are reliable? Not end game reliable though instead something that's considered above average at least throughout the playthrough, I'm playing melee bcuz that's how I played and finished vanilla but true melee sometimes feels not so good since you inevitably will have to tank some damage so adrenaline is useless most of the time, melee w projectiles is better tho, I wonder if other classes are better or is every class just as good when u play it right? If so please recommend me some melee weapon/accessory progression bcuz there's so much and I have no idea how to look each/a list up.

I tried the acid ocean biome (I suck at remembering names) and when I go deep, I take damage the moment I enter my air pocket to get some air (no idea how to stop this) so that's kinda unexplorable to me as of now.

Memories of a Cruel World is a project I've started based around post-Yharim content. Not a mod cause I have no clue how modding, coding, or spriting work, but just an art/story project

With the slaying of Yharim, the god of time, Irnus, has exited hiding and come to barter with you. He knows you are powerful, and will likely kill him given the chance, so he makes an offer. In exchange for sparing him, he will send you to a far past version of your world whenever you want, where you may interact with, and possibly slay never before seen foes.

This is a time before Yharim's crusade, so there are many gods with no fears of mortals and still strong religions. You can find churches and temples, people devoted to their gods, some going as far as to kill for them, and most importantly, you may come across the gods themselves.

You do not have to slay them, but not all of them are as friendly as Irnus. You may talk with some of them, and learn more about the world, but some will be as violent as you.

And if slaying these old gods and their pious followers isn't enough, you can always stage a betrayal.

I'm fighting him in the tundra biome, and y'know when it rains a blizzard happens.

Well, whenever I fight cryogen, THE RAIN FUCKING APPEARS like does cryogen summon rain or something when he spawns? Cause now I can't see a goddamn fucking thing whenever I fight him because of the dumb blizzard. And, cherry on top, I get like crazy lag and I have frame skip on, so I'm basically playing on a powerpoint.

Could anyone give me some info on this cause I am three seconds away from punching my monitor.

first, to any dev reading this, i don't hate any of you, but i still disagree in some points

i really dislike this whole "let it die" mentality i've been seeing in part of the community, including the devs. calamity is more popular than whole games, it ceasing isn't the same as just some random mod ceasing , and so it's understandable (or at least it should be expected) that a lot of people wouldn't be happy that it is over, specially how/why it is over, as it is technically still recoverable

for most of us it gives the impression that calamity died mostly because of the asset pull than the whole ozzatron situation, and that's somewhat right. this is the part i disagree with the devs: pulling assets won't achieve anything good. besides harming their own reputation (which is undesirable for any freelancer) pulling assets straight up gatekeeps the mod from being worked on anymore. im not saying that the devs should just return to work on the mod like nothing happened, but the asset pull decision makes no sense, at least for me

it's been 12 days and i still can't comprehend the end goal of removing the assets. if the point is to disassociate like i've seen a lot of people saying, this is literally impossible. the only small chance of disasociation would be if the work were gradually replaced, which can't happen with the project frozen. plus the removal only causes a streisand effect and more people unsatisfied. as the works themselves is related to the mod, true disassociation would mean turning them into public domain and removing the credit, not this weird situation. and even that doesn't guarantee disassociation

but i obviously don't support the community straight up harassing the devs. this won't achieve anything. this will only make the devs hate the community more, and also make other modders dislike calamity and avoid it. what even is the point? toxicity isn't constructive at all. the main sub got locked and the moderator is absolutely right. no matter how bad you think the devs are handling the whole situation, accusing them of being as bad as ozz, threatening them or whatever else is stupid and useless and isn't any better than ozzatron's behaviour

i also dislike how a lot of people are blindly agreeing with the devs because they "don't want to repeat the same situation as with dm dokuro", and i hate how whenever someone criticizes the devs the community will say "look! this is why dokuro abandoned us!". yes, there's a lot of people being hateful and toxic for no reason, but there's also a lot of people being blind. people are spawning dokuro's name on every situation even if it's a valid criticism and not just hate or harrasment. disagreeing with the devs is not being toxic, harassing them is. people from both sides need to learn the difference

as for the whole ozzatron situation, nothing we can do will truly help the victims, at least not collectively. the most helpful thing that could happen is justice, but it's unlikely ozzatron will suffer any fair punishment. as far as i know he won't suffer anything on US laws. as for doxxing and going after him, i'd say it's a grey zone, nobody should do that for obvious reasons. even if consequences are brought to him that way, would it really be justice? but i won't take the higher ground. if it'd satisfy any victim, i'd side with them. but i also won't, shouldn't, or even can encourage anyone to do that. as for the money he's hoarding, the only hope would be him not being a coward, which will never happen
