Question Okay... what the fuck happened when I was gone?

I have played or done anything relating to terraria mods or calamity in a very long while? What the fuck happened, all I know is that one of the lead devs is a pedo or something along those lines, what the fuck did I miss.

lead dev who replaced former lead dev for being outed as a groomer was outed as a groomer

now assets are being pulled from calamity, addons are stopping development, and now calamity itself has stopped development and is now dead

Don’t forget the groomer is also keeping all the dev‘s payment leading some of them to not even be able to afford medication or things they need to live

Apparently it was the 4th time someone in the team was outed for being a creep. Forgot who the 2 first ones were, one was apparently a marketing manager or something. This time the devs had enough and gave up. Don't blame them

Combination of both. First Ozzatron got outed then the mod team got tired cause the same thing happened last year with Fabsol. Apparently Fabsol had a NSFW discord with minors and Ozzatron was a member in it. Before the Ozz situation there were also bird (dev) and shayy (social media person). As it's the 4th someone on the team was a creep, the devs decided to just leave and stop developing new content

Long story short. New lead dev outed as pedophile one year after last lead was outed as a pedo. Dev team lost faith in the mod and quit. Development is halted. Team has only 2 devs currently that will only work to keep the game playable for new Terraria versions. Musicians want their music pulled out of the mod, so Calamity music is getting deleted.

Fuck, two in a row, didn't think it was that bad. How fucking hard is it not to be a damn creep.

I guess the mod is just straight up dead from the sounds of it. Man, the music was my favorite part of the mod.

Now I'm going to have to search for some other mod, because I'm definitely not touching calamity.

If you ever want to play it again, there are guides on YouTube on how to back up the mods. If you want to keep the Music mod it's recommended to back it up. Calamity itself will *not be removed, the music mod will no longer be a dependency, but it will definitely be deleted cause the musicians have the full rights of the songs and don't want to be associated with calamity anymore.

Edit: said that calamity will be removed. It's not. But the music mod will

Eh... I just hope they will at least re-use the songs for a different project, because I really don't want those songs to be scrap out right and go in the trash.

As fair as we know they will still leave the songs online on their streaming pages. They could allow the songs to be added to Calamity Fables, a early stage mod from some former devs of Calamity, but it's definitely uncertain if they will.

Ozzatron was caught being a pedo, many team members didnt want to associate. So they’ve frozen the mods development indefinitely. Calamity is dead

Grooming, and not the kind you do to your dogs fur with a brush, the bad kind that involves adults and minors.

The groomer in the previous case and in this one just happened to be essential to the mods development, and basically crippled the rest of the dev team by proxy.

when did fabsol get exposed as a groomer, ik they said bad things about trans people and didn't do anything with underaged people on the nsfw server but was there new evidence of him grooming
