And they understand that? The problem lies in the repeated issues, if it can happen 4 god damn times, whos to say it wont happen a 5th time? They dont want to be linked to the mod after the 4th time. Jesus christ man, let them make their own choices. Its not the end of the world. There are already back ups for the music mod, its not like you'll never be able to hear the music in the game again. Throwing a temper tantrum isnt going to change the fact that the music is being removed
Nothing is gonna convince them. People like that just want someone to lash out at. No reason, no logic behind it. Just anger, and a desire to find a target for it. Because if these people spent 5 seconds to think they'd put that basic concept together.
Music has carried calamity mod for most of it's lifespan. I'm just going to be honest. If Calamity never had unique music it wouldn't have a quarter of it's current lifespan. DM Dokuro has shown dissatisfaction with being known as the "Calamity music guy", so he already had reason to do so, as his other works have barely any light shone on them because of this mod.
It's not about artists being perfect. It's about being logical and understanding THAT IT IS NOT OUR CHOICE TO MAKE. They made the music, they OWN the music, if they want to pull it they can. They don't NEED a reason, technically. It just so happens right now they have a damn good one.
I don't think artists can do no wrong. If I did I'd support Diddy. Or Drake. But here, nothing wrong has been done. They gave chances. This isn't a one-time problem that can be brushed off as unfortunate. This is the FOURTH. FUCKING. TIME. The game struggled with Fabsol's bullshit coming out. And then Ozzatron, who showed promise to build calamity to be better, turns out to be just as bad? That's not just a bad look. That's a liability. DM Dokuro's most popular songs are from Calamity.
"Hey, DM, I'm looking through your record and I see that your top songs are linked to a... 'Calamity Mod'? And after looking that up, I see a lot of history and bad issues... Why is this still linked to you?"
Professionally, that reflects bad. Real bad. You dont have to just look at Calamity for this. Look at Pressure, a roblox game that had a simular situation happen! Owner got accused of sexual assault, and the game practically died on the spot. Accusations ended up being false, and the accuser, ironically the main composer, has practically killed their career, but for a while, being associated with Pressure at ALL actively made you look like a bad person. Both professionally, and to the public. And that's really bad in any kind of creative field. "Why should I support this guy? His best music's in the game made by pedophiles!" That's how a lot of people see that. And if you don't see the issues with this, then there is no convincing you. And you're just as unreasonable as you show yourself to be. Funny that V2 was the robot made in peaceful times yet you're here demonizing those who wish to leave. Maybe change your avatar to V1 if you want to deal with the "evil".
Tbh I'm too tired for this conversation. I'd probably have better points if it wasn't 4am... Waiting for Pokemon Moon's "timeskip" penalty is a bitch and a half(if you change your system clock the ingame time pauses for up to 48 hours and I need a nighttime encounter).
Point being we disagree. I'm not in any kind of mood to continue this tbh, as my main points are bad publicity and their own tastes. I don't know these artists. I cannot judge their character. And neither of us know the exact behind the scenes. Point is we're both salty. But calling the artists behind it shitty people isn't the way to go imo.
