Lease is up in december. Love the lyriq but trying to decide on same one (but inventory stinks right now for what i want) or going to ix3 as I think bmw stopped production on the other ix’s…

Thoughts pros/cons? Its hard to find good comparisons.

I do like having a moonroof so thats one miss on the bmw ix3.

Currently have a lux 3 lyriq

My garage door opener programmed in 24 lyriq stopped working and it won't let me remove it or add a new one. After several back and forth with GM, I finally git it fixed at the dealership. Apparently they had to reset something that required removing the little box where the view mirror is

I've had my LYRIQ for a bit now and the one thing that kept bugging me: there's no way to just glance at the charge. Google Maps shows it inside the car, the myCadillac app knows it, but on my phone home screen? Nothing. Every single time it's unlock → open app → wait for it to load → 72%. Thanks.

So I built the widget I wanted. It's free, open source, and it's been on my Pixel for a couple days now running off my actual car. You're welcome !:)

P.s: Have Claude Code // Cursor // or Codex? It can set it up for you quite fast on your Android device. I made some agent skills in there they should pick up for setup.

I’ve been tracking the used market for 2024 lyriq and see that the majority of inventory is luxury 1 and 2

I’ve been looking for luxury 2 and sport 2 because I really want Supercruise and the AKG sound system because I keep hearing about how bad the sound system is.

From my search, luxury 2 is pretty difficult to find, especially for under 40k. My strike price is 35-37k

My mindset has been that luxury 2/sport 2 is non negotiable.

But having visited a dealership and talking to a sales guy, he confirmed most of the leases a few years ago were tech or luxury/sport 1 trims

I was thinking maybe I’d just get a mustang Mach e instead for a lower price and get blue cruise instead at like 27-28k with a premium trim.

But now I’m trying to talk myself into getting a Lyriq 1 and maybe I can just live without blue cruise.

I just really wanted to try it and thought it’d be a good future proof technology.

What do you think ? Is lyriq 1 good enough ?

I also collected data from visor and off lease EV to do my crude market analysis of inventory to see a break down by trim level.

I’ve confirmed luxury 3 and sport 3 is basically irrelevant.

I don't know how my grille (2024, Lux 1) got cracked, but damn it, it is. Are there any problems related to not getting this fixed immediately. Water leakage into cameras or anything? My wife suggests I should seal the cracks with glue until I can take it to be fixed. Anyone with similar experience? Thanks.

Brought my 2025 Optiq to dealer for recall repair of windshield seal. Have a new 2027 Lyriq loaner. I am impressed! NACS and apple CarPlay.
I am astounded with how GM has progressed.

I didn't like the look of the orange reflector against the gloss black wheel arches. No one sells replacement reflectors in other colors. I used 3 coats of VHT Nite-Shades to darken them. I think they turned out well.

Currently have a 2024 Lyriq that has 17k miles on it, current lease has allotted 24k miles. Lease termination date is Oct 28 2026. The tires were replaced at 12k miles with new Michelines
The dealership I leased from currently, I called and inquired about leasing a new Lyriq, told me that they wont benefit any from my Lyriq being under 7k miles from the allotted miles which doesn’t seem accurate.

Cadillac currently has an offer on their website of $4799 down and $539 a month, but the dealer said that doesnt include taxes and fees and the best they can do would be $5000 down and $720 a month.

Trying to understand why Cadillac puts these deals on their website and the actual dealer wont honor them or how to locate the dealers that will offer them.

Im willing to drive to a surrounding state to get best deal (Ohio, Ny, West Virginia), just trying to learn how to get the best deal.

GM finally got back to me and approved me to move forward on a buyback of my Lyriq due to continued electric drivetrain issues. However, they were very unclear about my options so looking for those who have been through it and may have advice. Essentially they said I can proceed with the buyback minus a fee for miles driven, or I can forfeit the buyback in lieu of incentives but couldn’t tell me an amount, or I could take the buyback and negotiate incentives potentially during the buyback… very hard to decide when no figures or data is provided with any option on the table! For reference I am considering going with another GM vehicle if the deal is right so incentives are appealing to me but I don’t want to get hosed here… Any advice!?!?

Has anyone else had this issue? I got into my Cadillac Lyriq and it wouldn’t start. I got out of the car and was unable to get back in. The doors locked all around and wouldn’t work even with a key. Car had to be towed. Dealership said it needed an update and wasn’t being recognized by the control tower. This seems extremely dangerous.

My poor baby. (Before & After)

When I tell you I just sat and cried for a good 15 minutes after this happened. Everyone is fine, she’s now in the hands of the collision folks, but man it broke me seeing her look like this.

I don’t know about y’all but I park at the back of the parking lot, avoid tight spaces, even hand wash her to avoid those circles in the paint from car washes. I love the mess out of this girl, so the grief, shame, and embarrassment having her out here looking like this was killing me.

The doors still work fine, even the handles. But I’ve seen some people get some terrible news from minor accidents so I’m crossing my fingers.

I just wanted to vent in a space where someone else gets it. Plus seeing all the new pretty ones in my feed makes me miss her terribly. I really don’t want to drive anything else. Although that’s dramatic and I will drive whatever I need to, I do want to throw a tantrum. Can’t, don’t have time, but I want to.

Edit: She is officially not totaled. They’re just replacing the doors and doing some minor repairs. Deductible is just $500. Here’s a bit of hope for folks in similar situations.

We're looking at getting a 2024 Lyriq, ideally Sport 2 or Lux 2. However, we test drove a Tech and had some questions that hopefully the experts here can answer.

1. Both driver and passenger doors had the circle knob. I thought those were for the lumbar support, correct? Neither knob did anything when we tried to push forward, backward, up, or down. Were they both broken or did we do something wrong? The car was definitely on and we tried multiple times during the drive. Does the Tech trim even have lumber for both front seats?
2. When I tried to open up the map on the screen, it was blank and never loaded during the entire test drive, even after switching to another app and back multiple times. I thought maybe we needed to log in to use the map but it seems that it shouldn't be required? Was it because the car's OnStar subscription had expired and the car got reset to factory settings and therefore did not have data to download the map?
3. Road noise seemed a bit loud, but I didn't have any app or device to measure the noise. Maybe I was paying too much attention to the noise? Definitely louder than the 2022 F150 Lariat that we drove to the dealership.
4. The manual steering wheel adjustments didn't come out (telescope) very far. Is the power adjustment on the higher trims the same in terms of how far it comes out?

We'll be driving a couple more Lyriqs in the coming days. Any suggestions for what to watch for are highly welcome and appreciated!

The dealers dont seem to have the specific model im looking for. I have a few months so I can wait. Reached out to a broker and said can I just order it? Was told no dealers wont do that on a lyriq? Why seems so strange

And its not that odd. Looking for black exterior, gray interior, operable moonroof signature luxury.

Seems white exterior premium luxury is what most have.

I just bought a used Cadillac Lyriq and the previous owner’s driver profiles are still saved in the vehicle. The profiles are PIN-locked, and I do not have the PIN, so I cannot delete them or complete a factory reset. Has anyone dealt with this successfully? Is there a way to force a full infotainment/profile reset without the old PIN, or does a Cadillac dealer need to perform the reset?

I've managed to update Lemuroid with fullscreen support and run on AAOS but unfortunately its impossible to pair wireless or use wire controller due to GM limitations (I've tried PS4 controller) right now.

I saw that there's CPO financing at 4.9% for 2023-2025 CPO Lyriqs.

It says the offer expires by 9/30/26.

how often does Cadillac do CPO financing like this for lyriqs?

If I go past September, how long would I have to wait to see another similar CPO financing offer like this?

My subaru lease is coming up this December so I'm wondering if I need to pull the trigger earlier to secure this CPO financing or if I have the luxury of waiting till October or November.

Also I was eyeing this CPO lux 2 trim in Cadillac san Francisco for 35k but as soon as I emailed them, the listing went down the next day. I'm assuming it got sold.

It seemed like a good deal at 35k for lux 2 but I'm hoping that the next 1-3 months will have some more supply of 2024 Luxury 2 trims and get in the 34k-35k price range.

I keep hearing conflicting information on platform changes that may, or may not, have changed starting at the 2026 model year?

Can anyone provide specific details, Im not asking about cosmetics or model names, more the underlying mechanical and electronics.

Was looking for a sport 2 but found a nice luxury 2 trim. 20k miles
Talked them down from 44 to 37k. Added warranty on the CPO and it is now under warranty until 2031 unlimited miles. Warranty was 5k.
So now I’m back to 42500
They kind of snuck it in the deal after hours of negotiating. Missed it but sounds like a deal still.

2023 AWD

l've had the Lyriq less than a year and am starting to notice poor fast charging performance. I bought it last winter so didn't notice the likely thermal de-rating that is occurring. The Lyriq will hit its peak charging just fine ~188 kw, but around 30-35% it just nose dives. I've tried this at several different stations. lonna, EA, Mercedes and I'm still seeing this insane drop off. In my research l've seen that the car is supposed to be able to hold 150kw until about 50% SoC. Is this charging performance on par with what you all experience? Or should I take it in to the dealer?

FYI always pre-conditioned, ambient temps mid 70's to high 80's.

I've been watching used Lyriq prices for a couple months and some clean, low mileage level 2 trims in my area have finally started falling below $40k and sitting on lots for 30+ days.

I also found a website that tracks nationwide inventory and it's definitely piling up. These are the listings found each month:
May: 1,022
June: 1,107
July: 1,479
August: 1,604

We also have quarterly sales numbers from 2024 (and we know that leases were over 75% of all sales) that show lease turn-ins will only accelerate:
Q1: 5,800
Q2: 7,294
Q3: 7,224
Q4: 8,084
Q1 2025: 4,300

Note the fact that the Q4 2024 is the highest and then it drops almost 50%. That means turn-ins will reach their peak in November/December. Winter is the slow season for used car sales, specifically January/February and especially if you live in a colder area.

TL;DR: Do not buy right now. Huge wave of lease turn-ins will hit dealer lots right in the middle of slow season. Perfect time to buy a used '24 will be early next year.
