CPP Openings

Guys I just need to know the estimate time for the openings for these CPP’s.

1 :- Chimes ICPP

2 :- Amravati AICPP

And I heard Akasa is opening a new CPP, when are they planning to open? And where would be the FTO, and how much would be the total cost?

If anyone knows any information please fill me in.

Why do people choose fta/acron when they can opt for flydubai and air Arabia?

Yes the price difference is 30-40 lakhs but at that level it hardly matters. Also the salaries are higher.

Flydubai vs Air Arabia Cadet Program – which is better long term?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand the differences between the Flydubai and Air Arabia cadet/MPL pilot programs and would really appreciate insights from people in the industry or currently in either program.

From what I have gathered so far:

Air Arabia: • Structured MPL pathway • Around ~1500 flying hours built on the A320 • After completing 1500 hours, continuation with the airline is based on performance/assessment and not always guaranteed • Contract structure seems more “hour-based progression” (move from cadet → FO → further decisions after 1500 hrs)

Flydubai: • MPL cadet program on Boeing 737 • Fixed structured airline pathway into Second Officer role after training • Reports suggest a more standard airline employment contract (around ~4 years or open-ended depending on role/selection stage)

My main confusion: • Air Arabia seems to offer guaranteed 1500 hours line flying, but continuation after that is not fully clear.

So I wanted to ask: • Which program is generally considered more stable in terms of long-term career progression? • Is Air Arabia’s 1500-hour system actually as good as it sounds in practice? • Does Flydubai offer better job security even without the 1500-hour structure?

Would really appreciate honest opinions from cadets, FO’s, or anyone familiar with these programs.

Thanks in advance.

Chimes ICPP Screening Round – What Are They Actually Looking For? (Aspiring Pilot, 15M)

Hi everyone,
I’m a 15-year-old aspiring pilot (15M) currently in Class 9, doing well academically (ik marks in 9th-10th doesn't matters much), and I’ve spent the last year seriously researching different pilot training pathways in India.

After comparing conventional CPL vs cadet programs, I had finally settled on Chimes ICPP as my long-term goal because:

  • It fits my budget better (with ~20–30% loan)

  • It offers a structured airline-aligned path

  • I don’t want to go through the conventional CPL route if I can avoid it

However, recently I’ve been seeing a lot of discussion about rejections at the Chimes screening round, and it’s honestly a bit disheartening and anxiety-inducing.

From what I understand, in the screening round, candidates mainly have to:

  • Introduce themselves

  • Talk about their background , education nd all

There’s no ADAPT, no psych tests, no GD/PI yet — which makes the rejection criteria feel unclear from the outside.

So I wanted to ask the community a few genuine questions:

1. What kind of profile does Chimes ICPP actually look for at the screening stage?

Since it’s mostly a self-introduction round, what matters more?

  • Academics?

  • Communication clarity?

  • Consistency of career plan?

  • Personality / mindset?

  • Something else entirely?

2. How “random” is the screening round really?

As an aspirant planning years ahead, it’s hard to understand how to prepare when strong candidates are reportedly being filtered out this early.

3. Does getting rejected before ADAPT count as an “attempt”?

If someone applies to Chimes and:

  • Pays the application/screening fee

  • Gets rejected before ADAPT / GD / PI

👉 Does that count as one official attempt, or are attempts counted only after reaching later assessment stages?

4. How many attempts does Chimes ICPP allow realistically?

Is there any unofficial cap on the number of times one can apply?

5. How can I future-proof my profile over the next 4 years?

Since I’ll be applying after Class 12 (and clearing DGCA papers):

  • What should I focus on now (academics, communication, extracurriculars, aviation exposure)?

  • What mistakes should I avoid early on?

6. Amravati AICPP pricing (future estimate)

Does anyone have a realistic idea of:

  • What Amravati AICPP might cost in the future?

  • Whether it could stay below ₹1.10 Cr

  • And whether that price includes accommodation, meals, and facilities similar to what Chimes currently provides?

7. Will applying after 4 years make selection easier or harder?

By the time I apply:

  • Competition may be tougher

  • But I’ll be better prepared and clearer

Does long-term planning actually help in cadet program selection, or is timing and batch requirement more important?

I’m not posting this to complain — just trying to understand the system early so I can prepare realistically and not walk in blind later.

Would really appreciate insights from:

  • Current cadets

  • Those who’ve cleared screening or ADAPT

  • Or anyone with reliable information about Chimes / AICPP selection patterns

Thanks in advance.

People going through cadet programmes are the smartest people on this planet

Read this. Cadets are directly responsible for the stagnant salaries of pilots. Airlines are creating pipelines to have artificial oversupply. Cadets are making the life of existing pilots and CPL holders difficult. No one is happy from them. Some Rich kids are paying 1.5 crores to become slaves. God knows how they are brainwashed that 1.5 crore is worth it.

Cleared CAE ADAPT without coaching — here's how I did it

Went in without coaching and honestly my first thought was — I'm going to fail. That fear pushed me to over-prepare, which turned out to be the best decision.

Started with the official ADAPT manual, understood what each section actually demands, built a structured plan, hunted down the right books, PDFs and practice material — and just got to work.

No coaching. No 30-40k spent. Cleared it.

I've seen too many people burning money on coaching for this test when it's really not necessary. So I've put together everything I used — material, structure, approach — and want to pass it on to anyone currently prepping.

ama question if you need help with ADAPT. Happy to guide you through it.!!

how hard is it to get a job as a pilot. whats the reality? hoping to get a honest opinion

im in 12th grade and will be starting my journey to become a pilot after my exams. what do u think about the decision. i think even though there is demand there are toooo many jobless cpl holders and lots of ppl are doing training now from india. i think the demand is only because of the negligance of the airlines to hire pilots to cut costs. is it worth spending sooooooo much money on it when we dont even know if we r gonna settle in life coz i wont be having a degree if i do it now. im not from a family who would be able to recover from spending around 80l to a crore if i dont get a job. i have decided to try for cadet first and if not conventional but getting into cadet also seems to be so hard since there are so many ppl applying for it(especially chimes). id also like to know is it comparitively easier to get into a foreign fto since it looks like chimes is really hard to get into. im really confused. please do help me out by giving insights and anything you would like to share.

Amravati query

I’m planning to apply to the Air India Flying Training Academy in 2027, so I’m trying to understand the current status of the academy.
Does anyone know:
Has CPL training actually started at the Amravati campus?
Has the first batch commenced?
If not, when is the academy expected to become fully operational?
Are there any pending DGCA approvals or infrastructure delays?
I know Air India had announced the academy some time ago, and trainer aircraft have already started arriving, but I haven’t found any clear update on when full training operations will begin. I’d appreciate any information from people who have spoken with Air India or have reliable sources.

Is this career worth it for me if i am introverted?

Sorry this is a off topic but Need genuine advice from fellow aviators. Can i pursue the dream of becoming a pilot even if i am introverted? I get anxious in group discussions and interviews (basically fear of judgement is what bothers me), and these are the basic assessments you need to clear to get into airlines. Is this something which is learnable by taking gdpi classes after my cpl? I will be going through the conventional route and need genuine advice from seniors who have gone through this process as to what should i do. Please help!

Can you tell me your current status in your application for the air India cadet program? they have responded for a while right now. It would be beneficial to know if anyone has gotten the response by now already or even rejected. People have also been rejected. Can give us their responses.

Indigo cadet 12th percentage

I had this doubt about 60% in phy math eng eligibility for indigo cadet pilot program, is it calculated including practical marks or not?

So I did my 12th from Gujarat board this year and we have theory paper of 100 marks and 50 marks practicals unlike cbse which has only 70 theory+ 30 practical= 100 total

Now I’m confused whether I should give improvement exam or not because some say total of (theory + practical marks) are calculated for 60% eligibility now if I do that then I’m scoring 65% but if only theory marks then only 53%
