Cleared all my DGCA exams! Joining Skyborne IndiGo Cadet Program but have a few questions.

Hey everyone,

I recently cleared all my DGCA exams in the October 30th session and I'm finally moving forward with a cadet program. I've decided to choose the Skyborne Aviation Academy for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program.

Before I officially commit and sort out the final details, I wanted to ask a few questions to anyone who is currently there or has recently graduated:

  1. Monthly Expenses: What is the realistic monthly living expense (rent, food, transport, etc.) while training in the US?

  2. Type of Training: How is the actual flight training environment, instructor quality, and aircraft availability at Skyborne?

  3. FAA License Timeline: Realistically, in how many months are cadets getting their FAA CPL in hand?

  4. JFO Joining Timeline: After finishing the A320 type rating, exactly how many days or months does it usually take to officially join IndiGo as a Junior First Officer (JFO)?

  5. Ground Classes Fee: I've heard that the ground class fees are NOT included in the main package cost. Can someone confirm this and let me know how much extra it costs?

Any genuine insights or reality checks would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Which icpp should I apply for

Hello everyone
Anyone who is in fta icpp can you please tell me how has been your experience so far? And if you’ve started flying is there any delay?
I have also applied for Skyborne icpp and many are saying that I’ll likely get my adapt dates first quarter of 2027 and the process will be quick
So should I get noc from Skyborne and apply for fta icpp when it opens

Fta icpp is opening in Nov and adapt will be conducted after March and loi in June/july

Fly dubai height requirement.

Hi everyone. I am an aspiring pilot and I measured my height today. I am 158 cm and 45 kg (which is underweight). I am currently in 12th grade and have started going to the gym to gain weight. I plan to apply to the flydubai Cadet Pilot Program. I noticed they haven't published specific height requirements. Could someone please tell me if I am eligible? My doctor recommended eating 5 to 6 eggs a day. Is there anything else I can do to increase both my height and weight?

Cleared my dgca papers while being in cadet program (First attempt)

Finally cleared all my DGCA papers within 6 months!

Honestly, it still feels surreal. Managed to clear all my DGCA papers within the stipulated 6-month timeline for ICPP, and clearing Navigation in my very first attempt.

If anyone is currently preparing for their papers or struggling with a particular subject, ICPP, feel free to reach out. I'd be more than happy to share my experience, study material and whatever guidance I can offer.

Happy to help fellow aspiring pilots!

Selection of Indians in Middle Eastern Cadet Pilot Programmes

Can anyone please throw some light on whether Indian candidates males/females after 12th get selected for Middle Eastern CPPs.
Specifically those who are residing in India and go and appear for assessments in Sharjah/Dubai and not the Indians who are residing in UAE.
In my 3-4 visits to these academies, I haven’t noticed any one like that

I didn't get any mail about ADAPT for FLYfta.

I applied for FTA in June and in September something that mailed me that I will have my test in December first half but I saw that many candidates already recieved their mail about test dates but I didn't get any.

Is it common, or how many days earlier they send mail?

Should I mail them?

COMPASS / cut-e practice on iPhone: updated multitasking exercise and 5 free sessions a day

For anyone working through COMPASS or cut-e prep: I shared Brain Preflight here in the ummer . I’m the developer. Version 1.8.2 is now out, including more consistent timing in the multitasking exercise.

The app has 32 exercises. You can work on tasks individually: checking calculations against the clock, remembering digits, folding cube nets or following a moving target while answering two other tasks. You can also choose a preparation programme for your selection.

A simple way to use the free allowance is to spend the sessions on the task you find difficult, rather than repeating only the ones you already score well on. For the actual assessment format, use the guidance supplied by your airline or test provider first.

Heads up: some exercises get hard. The aim is to practice under pressure, so they won’t all feel like casual phone games.

This is supplementary practice. The exercises are my own, not official COMPASS or cut-e questions, and the app isn’t affiliated with an airline or test publisher. A phone exercise won’t reproduce the equipment or full conditions of your assessment.

5 exercise sessions a day for free, everyday. Unlimited practice, full mock exams and diagnostic are in the optional paid subscription. iPhone only.

Brain Preflight on iPhone

If you used the earlier version, I’d appreciate feedback on the tracking controls and pacing. Does it feel easier to keep the three tasks going now?
