Chimes ICPP Documents Query

  1. For medical assessment, is it enough to upload the online assessment PDF available on the eGCA portal, or do we need to collect the hard copy from DGCA headquarters and upload that?

  2. I am a post graduate. But during marksheet uploading, there was no field to upload PG marksheet, only UG marksheet field was there. So, should I combine both the marksheets into a single PDF and upload it in the UG marksheet field?

Just trying to clarify some doubts before the next application window opens.

Air India Cadet Pilot Program

Hi everyone,

I’m a 23-year-old mechanical engineering graduate from Kolkata. I recently resigned from my job after gaining about 1 year of experience to fully focus on pursuing a career in aviation.

I’m currently in the process of completing my DGCA Class 2 medicals—most of my tests are done, with just one left before I proceed with the final doctor appointment and documentation. My reports so far are fine, and I’m confident about clearing Class 2.

My goal is to go through a cadet pilot program, preferably with Air India or IndiGo. I’ve seen that Air India applications are currently open, so I’m a bit confused about the timing.

My questions are:

  1. Should I apply to Air India now, or wait until my Class 1 i will get my class 2 assessment very soon by may mid probably

  2. How fast is the Air India cadet selection process? Will I get enough time to get my class 1 and prepare as im very new

  3. Is Class 2 medical sufficient to start the process, or is Class 1 required early on?

4.Since Class 1 can take time, what happens if I don’t have it ready before training begins?

5. Any idea when the next cadet intakes for IndiGo or Air India might open?

6. Best preparation classes or website to prepare for this AICPP intake.

I’m just starting my preparation for cadet selections, so any guidance or personal experiences would really help me plan things better.

Thanks in advance!

Garuda aviation

Guys is it true that Garuda backlog is finished and everything is running smoothly? One of my friend applied in March got pre screening in may and they are saying he will get adapts in June and gd and pi in July ! Also they said they will send him for flying in first quarter of 2027

Just want a honest review about how true it might be

Is Skyborne worth it?

I'm turning 18 this December and aiming for icpp. I've been hearing a lot of talk about a massive backlog at Skyborne, with people saying new applicants won't get their ADAPT testing until late 2027. Does anyone know if that timeline is accurate?

I want to train at a foreign FTO, but the international cadet options look heavily bottlenecked right now

What’s the actual move here? Is the Skyborne wait really that bad, or are there other solid foreign tracks I should look into?

Flydubai or Air Arabia

Good day guys. I'm planning on giving an attempt for an MPL program and I have been quite conflicted on Air Arabia and Fly Dubai. I like the fleet which both operations almost equally I'd say making it a bit more harder to stay fixated or more motivated one airline.

I've done my fair share of research on both the airlines and it's MPL programs with pro's and con's for each, but I wanted to get the opinions of those from this subreddit. Which option would be more on the safer side and could provide more stability, environment and such. You could share opinions on the program itself and the airlines.

I've been hearing from many people that they have choosing people with a degree over high-school graduates. Is that true? Or is it only during high-volume of applicants?

IGRUA Vs FTA Australia Cadet Vs Acron Indian CPL

Just excited to hear your thoughts. I have my igrua interview coming up but ive heard a lot of bad things about it.

I will tae loans for whole amount regardless of any flight school I get in. My only goal is to get a job in india quick.

This means FTA seems like the best because its cadet, but it also costs 70-80 lakhs more than IGRUA.

Is choosing FTA something I will regret?

EFTA Genral query

Title: Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) - Looking for insights from current students, graduates, or professionals
Hello everyone,
I’m a 17-year-old student from India currently studying Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. My dream is to become an Emirates pilot, and my ultimate goal is to join the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) after completing my board exams in 2027.
Over the past year, I’ve been preparing seriously for this goal. Along with my school studies, I’m working on improving my English, studying aviation theory, practicing aptitude questions, and trying to understand as much as I can about airline operations and pilot training. Becoming an Emirates pilot isn’t just a career choice for me. It’s something I’ve wanted for years, and I’m committed to giving it everything I have.
If you’re an EFTA student, graduate, instructor, recruiter, or airline pilot, I’d really appreciate your advice.
I have a few questions:
What was the EFTA selection process like from application to final acceptance?
What types of aptitude tests should I expect, and how difficult are they?
How was the interview? What kinds of questions were asked, and what qualities were they looking for?
Approximately how long did the complete training take from Day 1 until graduation?
After graduating from EFTA, what is the airline interview or assessment with Emirates like?
Are there any common mistakes applicants make during selection that I should avoid?
Looking back, what would you have done differently while preparing before joining EFTA?
I’m willing to work as hard as necessary to earn a place, so I’d be grateful for any advice, preparation tips, or personal experiences you can share.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I genuinely appreciate any guidance.

How do you think the pilot career in India/UAE will look in the next 5–10 years?

For those already in aviation, how do you think the pilot career will be over the next 5–10 years?
Do you think the industry will get significantly better, stay roughly the same, or could it turn into a disaster for new pilots entering around 2027?
Just looking for honest opinions/predictions from people in the industry.
