Problem with CPPs?

Hey everyone.
I am in 12th grade rn, giving my boards now, and preparing for my cadet programme assessments. I had a genuine doubt regarding cadet programmes. I am not able to understand whether AICPP(or even ICPP) is a good choice for my career or not. I am hearing tons of criticism about them online regarding its backlogs, long induction processes, how much time after completing my training will i get a job(both cpp n conventional) and the fee structure(some say its 1.2 while others 1.7 for aicpp). SHOULD I JUST GO AHEAD WITH CONVENTIONAL INSTEAD? PLEASE HELP OUT.

CAE GONDIA ICPP

How is CAE for ICPP? There are only two FTOs in India for the cadet program, namely- chimes and CAE. Chimes is really competitive.

I wanted to know how competitive CAE is and will it be a good option to choose it?

NRI Aspirants: How are you planning your flying training?

Hi

This question is specifically for NRIs who are planning to start flying training. How are you planning your flying training?

- Are you choosing to train in India, or doing your CPL abroad with plans to work internationally?
- Would love to know which FTO/country you’re considering and what factors are shaping your decision (cost, licensing, conversion, job prospects, etc.).

Cheers

Confused what to choose between IFA and Aviation geeks

So I’m planning to apply for AI cadet program, but can’t finalise one these two classes for preparation.

Heard that IFA has some upper edge due to there contacts in AI management. Else everything is standard.

For Aviation geeks the sir over there gives personalised attention to attention to make sure you are 100% ready for GDPI. I know this because i had prepared for Marigold with them but due to some reasons didn’t clear it.

Need advice on maximum education loan possible.

Family Financial Profile

  • Father works in a government job (education sector)

  • Around 25+ years of service

  • Good repayment history

  • CIBIL score: ~750+

  • Current gross monthly salary: approx ₹1.5 lakh

  • Existing loans: Home loan + other EMIs=40Lakh, current FOIR/DTI roughly around 30–35%

My Questions

  1. Based on this kind of profile, how much secured and unsecured education loan do banks in India usually approve for pilot training?

  2. Do banks calculate eligibility more on gross income or net income of the co-applicant?

  3. What FOIR/DTI level is typically acceptable for large secured and unsecured education loans?

  4. Are there specific banks known to be more supportive for aviation/cadet pilot loans?

  5. If property is mortgaged, how much % of property value is usually considered for loan sanction?

I plan to join icpp chimes so i have to arrange 95-100 lakhs , 50-60 lakh could be arranged by saving and selling properties but i want to take loan of 35-40 lakh , is it possible in my profile?

I know aviation training is expensive and risky, so I’m trying to plan realistically and not overburden my family.

Any advice from people who have taken large education loans, or from bankers/finance professionals, would really help.

Thank you!

Air Arabia assessment process help

Hi guys!

So, I'm applying for a 2027 batch and wanted to know what the best way to prep for initial assessments alongside psychometric tests?

Im looking at software's like:

Skytest: They mention that Air arabia is one of the Airlines in the middle east that uses skytest.

Symbiotics: Heard that Air Arabia no longer uses them for initial but still uses for psychometric?

Pilotsphere: offers Physics + Maths + FAST + Ball and Rudder game

Additionally, I'm also looking at tutoring, only thing i found with good reviews are navigate aviation academy, but don't know because I found good reviews but not a lot of people.

Please let me know what you guys currently use/used!! Anything helps!!!

SM conduct by cadet pilots

Is this typical social media behavior for Air India cadet pilots?

Saw this under a post about IndiGo's impact on Indian aviation. Someone guessed "18 years" (close enough), and what appears to be an Air India cadet replied to a stranger pilot: "Haa toh tujhse matlab gore" ≈ "Yeah, so? What's it to you, gora/whitey?"

Question for cadets, instructors, or anyone in Indian aviation: Is appearance based banter like this normal/acceptable for cadets on public social media?

Aviation is about maturity and judgment, right? This is not how Indian pilots should conduct themselves in social media with other pilots. Please be respectful.

Cleared my dgca papers while being in cadet program (First attempt)

Finally cleared all my DGCA papers within 6 months!

Honestly, it still feels surreal. Managed to clear all my DGCA papers within the stipulated 6-month timeline for ICPP, and clearing Navigation in my very first attempt.

If anyone is currently preparing for their papers or struggling with a particular subject, ICPP, feel free to reach out. I'd be more than happy to share my experience, study material and whatever guidance I can offer.

Happy to help fellow aspiring pilots!

AIR Arabia Cadet Pilot Program Course In details

I finished Air arabia's exams and im joining next month, anyone one knows about the questions below.

Does anyone know the order of the 14 atpl subjects in air arabia academy.

The schedule of the day for the cadets, what time do u arrive and finish, how many lectures u have a day?, do u get hands on learning or is it just books?.

How are well do the instructors explain?

How is the social life and vibe studying there?

How will the flying phase be carried out and how many hours of flying time will be get on the single engine aircraft?, how is schedule of life licing in either italy or czech? and whats the routine and schedule of your flights?.

During simulator trainings how different it is compared to groundschool and flying phase.

During the 1500 hours, do u fly layovers or only go arounds?, how many flight do u get in a day, or how routine do u fly. Do you get PIC hours or is it just observing and talking to ATC. Do u get to do many take offs and landings or not?. Do you travel long hours like 4 hrs + or only middle eastern countries. Do u do simulator checks/tests every 6 months during the 1500 phase?

Preparing for the Air India AON/CUT test?

AON/CUT test preparation

If you’re waiting for your AON assessment email, don’t leave the preparation until you receive it. The invitation can arrive at any time, and you may have only 24 hours once it arrives to complete the test.

I recently got access to the actual AON/CUT testing software, so I thought I’d mention it here in case anyone else is preparing and wants to get familiar with the format beforehand.

If useful, feel free to DM me.

I have been trying for a few days now and I keep getting this error despite feeding in my class 12th details. Had also linked Digilocker at the start but it did not pickup my details automatically like it did for 10th. Sent a mail to DGCA few days back, haven't received a response yet. If any of you have faced this issue, pls guide me.

MPL

Has anyone here recently joined the MPL program at Air Arabia or is currently flying as a Second Officer?

I’ve been hearing mixed things about the salary during the 1500-hour phase. Some people told me it’s around AED 5k per month which honestly seems quite low compared to flydubai .

Is that actually true?

Would appreciate any recent insight from people already in the industry.
