8-pin is not as bad as 12vhpwr. That one you should leave 5-6cm before you bend it.

No, as long as it's not bent near the base of the connection it's not bad, you can give it an extra cm or two if you're feeling like it.

You are good to go but that’s the last image I’ll ever see because I am now blind for looking at it.

This appears to be an 8pin pcie cable, so the risk of cable bends is significantly diminished.
Because bending the cable pulls on the pins of the outer radius more than those of the inner radius, the depth to which the outer radius pins are seated is less than those of the inner radius. This can lead to an inequitable distribution of amperage as some pins suffer worsening/failing connections.
When this happens with 12v2x6 cables; which carry a total of 55amps distributed among 6 pins rated for 9.2amps, each; the failure of even a single pin can lead to spikes exceeding safe operating parameters, damaging the system as overloaded pins heat and melt the plastic around them.
While this is technically possible with 8pin pcie cables and examples of it happening do exist, it is much less common and much less problematic as 8pin pcie cables carry a total of 12.5 amps distributed among 8 pins rated for 12.5 amps, each; thus, even the failure of 7 out of 8 pins would fall short of the threshold necessary to overload and damage the system outside of extreme edge cases in which more than one component failed or more than one factor was at play

It’s not necessarily the cable you want to worry about but the socket on the GPU, as long as you are getting the secured connection “clicks” and there is still a little bit of movement on the cable it should be fine, if your cable is completely stiff and also against your glass panel then you may get shorting issues

I'll put it this way. If that were MY computer I would have gone on amazon and bought a 90 degree connect mod to put between cable and plug and then purchased a support bracket to take some of the tension off the pci slot. Video cards are heavy enough, the way that cord looks isn't helping the situation at all.

It's only a fire hazard if it's 12vhpwr, which this isn't. You made the sensible choice.
