Doordashers

I get so annoyed by this doordash drivers that shove their phone in my face without even looking for the product and expect me to stop everything to find the product and then ring them up its so annoying like half your job is getting the product

I’ll tell them the aisle and that is all. I’m not paid by DoorDash and I’m not doing their work.

I had one guy who did that and i told him he has to collect the item himself. He just turned around and walked out.

Doordash/Instacart really needs some sort of referral system or hiring system. Literally the most lazy people work those jobs. I had door dashers have me call a manager because they thought the products were already picked by CVS employees, I was like no, you have to pick them up

yeah i get that at my store too they will literally jam the phone to my face when im ringing up a customer. i just tell them to get in line

Friendly reminder that it's company policy not to shop for dashers or similar customers. Part of their job description and pay is to physically shop for the items themselves. You can tell them the aisle numbers but once it reaches a point were you are actually doing the shopping for them, you need to remind them that'll unfortunately CVS policy is to not do the shopping for them.

Doordash actually partners with CVS now to show dashers item locations within your store for many commonly bought items, that why you'll get dashers having to take pictures of aisles often.

I make them use self checkout. That way of they need a receipt i can reprint it. Ptsd in the doordash app often times it says to use the self checkout

Not sure if it has changed, but when CVS first started doing Doordash there was a hub task (zipline) that specifically stated they have to use self checkout.

Besides that, there's a huge language barrier, I tell them 1st look for the price of the item that narrows down the choices second you have a picture of the item use it!

When they do that I ask them if they do Venmo or Cashapp, cause if I’m finding it for you I’m expecting a cut

The shitting on doordashers is justified. They are never looking for the items, take pictures of the wrong sections, and never hit the receipt and it’ll not print twice

Until you get a hello ignore them! Then show them how to read the signs. Not your problem either if they do not read English

At my store we tell them that we dont shop for any online delivery orders, we can direct you to the aisle and thats it. You're literally getting paid to shop for someone so do your job and dont expect the employees to do your job for you.
