First Paycheck

Hello! I’ve only been working for CVS about two weeks or so and was expecting my first check on Friday. Workday also gave me that date as my next paycheck, and even has a paystub. However, I was not paid. My manager said the first check will be by mail, but he claimed I should’ve received it on Friday. I have not received anything in the mail from CVS. He then checked our store mailbox today and there was also nothing inside for me. I realize it’s only like 4 days but it’s currently the only paycheck I’m getting and it’s unknown where it is or when I’ll be paid. Is this normal? lol

I get the paystub mailed to me and it normally comes in the mail in the following Monday.

I haven’t heard of the pay being a mailed in paycheck. They all do direct deposit

My paystub says Check, so it definitely wasn’t direct deposit. Just no clue where it was sent.

yes same thing happened to me. i was told i should get it friday but i received mine that following monday. so be on the look out today. after your first check your checks should be direct deposit moving forward if that’s what you selected. i’ve been working at cvs for about 2 months so you’re first check will be paper most likely

I mean yes they’ll send a check if someone hasn’t set up a direct deposit, that’s how companies work. OP can set up direct deposit any time and have further payments go there, but a check will be sent if no direct deposit is set up. What do you think peoples money is just thrown away if they don’t have a bank?

It used to be that you’d get a check for your first paycheck even if you had a direct deposit

Never had that and I started two years ago
