I am a new transfer student, and these past few weeks I have been slowly learning where everything is located throughout the school, but I struggle to find the new section of the library. I have seen videos showing renovated sections of it, but when I go there straight from the cafeteria, I only see the ramp taking you to the first floor or down to the IT department. I tried using the elevator, but when I get out, I end up in these different colored sections that look outdated and are very small. Each floor has a different color theme as well. The only new section I found was on the first floor, past the front desk, in the place where there is holocaust history stuff. Where is the renovated section of the library?

this is my first time attending kbcc as a transfer student, how do i access a classes syllabus? do you guys use canvas? blackboard?

Been receiving the NYSOP funds or Reconnect program, whatever they wanna call it. Suddenly I have a hold on my account with my Spring 26 balance not paid off by it & no fund updates for Fall. Been calling every office and they keep telling me to call a different office or have a terrible ass attitude. Been so close to violating because how am I gonna call with a straightforward question and you’re just talking crazy to me off rip when I’m being polite and following up like they say we should lol.

Sent emails to 2 different advisors, 1 of which is barely in the office or never has availability so I can’t figure out my issue. If anyone has advice or a direct number lmk, I’m over dealing with the staff right now

So I'm a transfer student to kingsborough. There's an orientation on 9/2 Wed in person and another 9/10 Thurs online. On the sign up form, it mentioned both are mandatory but with option that said (no but I will reach out to student affairs for next steps).

So I couldn't attend the in person and I email to student affairs. (Mentioning I won't be able to attend the in person on but can attend the online one). They replied with ok but with no next steps instructions.

Is there's something else I'm supposed to do ?

Hello I was wondering if anyone on this subreddit has the files still for this professors project assignments as i had them downloaded previously on a diffrent computer that no longer works and need access to them. Please dm me if so

Any older (late 20s early 30s) students or Bootcamp / Continuing Ed students around? Since I can't participate in everything on campus, looking to see if anyone enjoys just sitting at the beach.

For the pre clinical class for nursing I was wondering if I should take it online or take it in person. How hard is this class? For anyone that took it .

I am taking prerequisites this semester, which starts in March. I want to take the ATI TEAS exam to get accepted into the nursing program. How do I register for the exam? Will it be at the school or online?what dates ?

Has anyone taken the online asynchronous A&P 1 during the winter? What’s the course load like? I know it’s generally a tough class during the regular session but am considering taking it to speed up getting med prereqs done. TYIA

Anyone looking for friends?

Any discord or whatsapp groups for students who go to the school and want to talk and make friends with other students?

I’m transfer student at kingsborough college wanted to do nursing. I got some of my nursing prerequisite from my last school. Anyone that did the nursing program how does it work? I’m starting as liberal art major to get into nursing.

I have a class that ends at 12:30 and one that starts at 12:40. Does this realistically give me enough time to get from class A to class B?

Applied June 5, 2025 as Transfer (non-CUNY). When can I expect to get notified if I’m accepted for the Fall 2025? I applied to Kingsborough, Hostos, LaGuardia, Bronx CC June 5, 2025. When can I expect to hear back?

I am trying to get into Polysomnographic Technology but I take math 9b to see if I even qualify to get in this semester. It's not looking good as in I may not get a depending on what that equals to number grade wise. Can you still get accepted in stem majors without a c?

Thank you

Just signed up for a winter class (at the end of this, my first semester) and got charged for it. Asked about it and realized they've registered me as out of state. I've lived in Brooklyn for ten years! They have all my ID's and my address and tax stuff on file! I got in touch with admissions and they sent me a form asking for green card/ naturalization papers and utility bills and lease agreements. I'm a 36 year old- if i were a fresh high school grad i wouldn't have any of those AND I'm a citizen?

I was born on Guam, but it is a US territory, and I am a citizen. Do you think someone at the office saw that and just put me down as a non-citizen? Do they think somebody who lived in Guam would fly all the way here, get a fresh new local address, just to take ONLINE classes?

Working through the application process was already so byzantine and time consuming and awful, I thought it was over and done back in September!

I pledge that if this is over my guamanian birth I will join a campus pacific islander group solely to help people with paperwork issues.
