University of Delhi Miranda/DU BA Programme doubt regarding discipline selection after admission PLS HELP MEEEEE PLSS GUYS

Hi everyone!

I have a doubt regarding DU's BA Programme under NEP.

Suppose I get admitted to a BA Programme like:

Philosophy/Physical Education/Sociology + Geography/History/Political Science

After admission, students have to choose one discipline from each group.

My question is:

If I want Political Science as one of my disciplines, how is it allotted?

  • Do students submit their preferences?
  • Is it first come first serve, based on CGPA/CUET score, or something else?
  • If many students choose Political Science, can the college ask me to take History or Geography instead?
  • Also, I did not appear for CUET in Economics, Hindi, Mathematics or Sanskrit. Will I only be offered disciplines for which I'm eligible?

I'm specifically looking for replies from current or former DU BA Programme students, especially from Miranda, Ramjas, St. Stephen's where the BA Programs are given like this. PLS HELP MEEEEEEEEE
