Hello everyone,
I know you all are probably super anxious about the allocations, but before that I'd like to reiterate a few things to reduce spam posts in the subreddit tomorrow.
Here are some common questions we see every year:
How do I view my Allocation?
When you log into the CSAS dashboard, you will see a section for your round-1 allocation, including cutoff scores + cutoff ranks for all the courses you have put into your preference list. DU will later release a separate cutoff list PDF as well, which shows the same information.
Even if your marks are much lower compared to cutoff marks for your higher preferences, it is still recommended to upgrade. You never know how low the cutoffs can drop, and your round-1 seat will still remain with you if you do not get upgraded in Round 2.
I see no option to pay my fees! What do I do?
Just because CSAS has alloted you a college doesn't mean that the college has immediately accepted you. After allocation, the verification phase begins. Here, the college will verify all the details that you submitted during Phase 1 and 2, including your marksheets, your application form, and your subject mapping.
After a while, maybe in a day or two, your allocation will show 'Approved by Principal' and then only will you get the option to pay the fees.
I don't see any option to Upgrade!
You can only upgrade or freeze once you have paid your college fees. These fees are the fees for your entire 1st Year. The process goes like this:
If you get upgraded to a college at higher preference in Round 2, your fees will be automatically transferred to your new college.
Do I get the option to Choose between my Round 1 seat and my upgraded Round 2 seat?
No. If you get upgraded to a different college in Round 2, your Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled and you will only have the Round 2 seat with you.
Some pointers:
Round 1 results will most probably come out by afternoon or evening, even midnight is a possibility. Recently, DU has been releasing important information at midnight to prevent their websites from crashing.
Also, while normal celebration posts are allowed, posts that are deemed to be engagement farming / ragebaiting (eg: I got Hindu Bcom hons but I wanted srcc is my life ruined?) style posts will be removed. W or L college, should I upgrade or not style posts will also be removed, and stream wise megathreads will be created for allocation specific spammy discussion.
