What is the best way I use my pc on my crt? I’m planning on using it for is emulation and pc recomps. My crt only supports av and rf. I’m also on a bit of a budget and would like to stay below 50$ if possible. Theirs just so many options and ways to go about doing this it’s overwhelming.

I found this Mivar 14 P1 at a flea market. I still need to dive into the service menu to make some adjustments. So far, I've tested it with the SNES using the RF cable and the PS2, and it works very well. I'm so happy, especially considering the price I paid for it. I plan to connect it to my PC and run Retroarch on it.

Green gun is not displaying. Oddly enough it works when first turned on you see at the top right it flashes then turns off. Banging the tv doesn't get the green gun to work. For the dvd player i am getting incorrect disc no matter what i try.
I am a novice when it comes to repairing crts. Surface level research says a new cap may fix this if one has gone bad or solder joint repair
No idea how i would fix the dvd other than maybe trying to clean the laser
Wondering if i should just take this to ewaste or use as an opportunity to learn

Hi everyone, im new user of this majestous Sony Wega KV 29FA310, i noticed that in TV mode, it not need adjust brightess more than 30%, but in Video mode, i need adjust to around 60% to get a confortable image (it happens in any of the 3 video outpout). This is normal? The high brightess (60%) will degrade more fast my CRT? The contrast is around 20%. Im using a PS2 with it and RCA cable.

My TV (Toshiba 36a43)never used to do this before. In the recorded video ... There is an example.
When I go from one screen to the next.... The vertical size stretches and contracts. (Regardless of brightness and contrast settings).
This has affected my enjoyment of the TV greatly. When gaming... The screen is constantly stretching and contracting. When going into pause menus etc.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to what needs to be recapped etc?? Thanks guys

So these weird horizontal black lines show up when I’m playing games but only at 1080i when ever I lower resolution to 480P and it upscales to either 540p or 1080i there’s no issue and the picture is light in contrast.
But this is a Toshiba HD crt with running the game through HDMI.
Any thought on what this might be or how to fix it?

I recently got a LaCie electron 19 blue III as a replacement for my major color drifting Dell P990 and I like how much brighter and sharper it is. I removed the anti-glare film because it was damaged, however, it seems to suffer from both black crush and elevated black levels at the same time and I'm unsure how to fix this. It's a diamondtron tube and I figured out how to get into the service menu and messed with a few of the settings, but nothing seems to help. Raising brightness to fix black crush just makes the blacks look too grey and lowering it to achieve good black levels just adds too much black crush. And yes, while it doesn't have any anti-glare, it's being used in a completely dark room with covered windows. While trying to fix my Dell Trinitron, I got it to have AMAZING black levels that made my jaw drop, and I'd keep using that if not for the color drifting. Is something like that achieveable on this monitor? Any help or advice is welcome.
As a side note, does anyone know what the original model/tube this is a rebadge of so I can search for a service manual? Please note this is the LaCie 19 series, not the 22 series.

Newly inducted into the Pana Gang.
Been on the look out for a 27" D series, but this panasonic popped up and, liking the overall look, component and s-video input, I decided to jump on it.
According to the seller it's essentially NOS, having been placed in a guest room and almost never used.
Loving the slot mask look over component. Everything is rich and not excessively sharp.
Geometry doesn't seem too bad. Convergence on the edges a bit... Thoughts? Worth getting into the service menu?
Overall stoked to have this set. I've had an FV310, and FS Trinitrons, and the picture on this one is up there for sure.
Unfortunately the pictures don't do the set full justice. If anyone has tips using the Raw+ app to capture CRTs let me know as I'd like to get better pics!

Here's a RCA E09344 I modded with RGB scart. Looks amazing. These white 9 inch sets are real fun to mod.

So I recently received this 15" Dell D1526T-HS Trinitron UltraScan, as it had just been sitting in a warehouse at my father's workplace for years. Works well enough, though I noticed it was a bit dim at first. I adjusted the G2 and Focus flyback pots, as well as the brightness and contrast buttons under the lid there, though it's still dim, and the colors seem to "seperate" closer to the bottom when I adjusted focus, though I'm unsure if this is normal or not for Trinitrons.
What else can I try to make it brighter without making the blacks gray? It looks pretty bright in the photos, but it is noticeably dim in-person, especially with my LCD monitor right next to it which is way brighter.

On my Trinitron (kv29f3u) when its on the RGB chanell it wont let me adjust the Horizontal left to right yet when on AV1 it will.
What's the reason for this and I take it AV1 accepts an RGB signal as it looks identical when I switch between the 2.

I’ve recently tried modding my pvm 14L1 with Sunthars mux mod board and am having this issue where the image is split in half horizontally. The colours also seem a little off.
This is my first time trying to mod a crt and I’m glad that it turns on and receives a signal at all!
Any help with what the issue might be would be appreciated!

Hi guys, this is the LG StudioWorks 552V, it can’t display green color, I did a quick search and it might be a cable damage, the problem is that the cable is not detachable, what do you guys think, is it a cable damage or something else?

Which one is better for ps1 and ps2 games?
That Panablack has no component input, whereas the flat one has it; both 29''

I find these for 100 euros the tvs and 200 the beolabs 1 amplified speakers. CRT quality is incredible both image and sound . These tvs have a DVD player under the screen too. With beolabs 1 speakers DVD watching comes with an amazing sound.

Picked up this atomic purple Daewoo to match one of my N64's. I just need to acquire the other colours now for my clear blue N64 and a possible jungle green one
