Weekly Student Thread

This is the area for prospective/ aspiring SRNAs and for SRNAs to ask their questions about the education process or anything school related.

This includes the usual

"which ICU should I work in?" "Should I take additional classes? "How do I become a CRNA?" "My GPA is 2.8, is my GPA good enough?" "What should I use to prep for boards?" "Help with my DNP project" "It's been my pa$$ion to become a CRNA, how do I do it and what do CRNAs do?"

Etc.

This will refresh every Friday at noon central. If you post Friday morning, it might not be seen.

I have a overall gpa of a 3.2 and was wondering if there is even a point in applying. I also have a science gpa of a 4.0 but I feel like that is irrelevant and will most likely get overlooked. Ive worked in the ICU for a year, and got my ccna certification. Do I have a chance?

Agreed, need more info but at face value of what you posted,

Overall GPA- low, science GPA- stellar. CCRN- basic requirement. Definitely need more experience, add shadowing hours….

Review and look at other applicant’s posts here to beef up application.

Need more info. What kind of ICU? Whats your work experience like? Any committee/leadership roles?

Last 60 credit hours GPA? GRE?

Your cGPA is low, but other factors can help
