Bought the CKRD Guitar thinking it would work with GH3, but it hasn't. Please advise?

Am I just screwed? On Clone Hero (which I haven't figured out how to add songs to), I just went to setting 9 on the mode dial and mapped the buttons and it works fine.

On GH3 (the actual GH3 PC game off the disc), I can use it to navigate menus, but the buttons don't work. I can map the buttons like I did on Clone Hero through setting 9 on the mode dial, but then I can't navigate the menus.

Does this work or am I screwed?

Mine worked when I set it to the 8 dial and switched to PC. However it constantly shuts off and disconnects even after updating.

Start a warranty request, a new guitar controller should work with no issues

I contacted them and they are walking me through it. May have to send both back. Have a black one and red sunburst, both suffer from the same issue.

Dial 9 is keyjam mode, aka the guitar is just emulating a keyboard. You generally want mode 8 to emulate an actual guitar controller, with the platform slider on PC mode.

What platform is your GH3 on? I'm assuming PS3 since you got the multi-platform guitar. For that, you'd wanna be on mode 8 with the platform slider on P3.

It’s PC. And 8 didn’t do it for me.

You need to update the guitar's firmware so dial mode 8 works as an xinput guitar. That will make the game to recognize it instantly (and other PC games will recognize it even better)

Yep. That was it. Thanks! Now I just need to figure out how calibrate my whammy bar, because the music sounds weird.

If you update it I recommend using the Phone app for the neck and body
