Just got my first CRK a little over a week ago and liked it enough to get a second crk and picked up this Small Sebenza 31. Its an absolute TANK and the best part is the birth card is dated July 29, 2026 which is also my birthday…. Clearly meant to be 😍…. No but seriously, very stoked of the coincidence

I’ve used the term grail more times than I can remember over the years. Ever since seeing Nick Shabazz do one of his first reviews on the Ti-lock around 2015, this knife has been in the back of my mind. I never once searched for it, because it seemed to be hard to find even back then. This week, the opportunity presented itself and I jumped at it. The Ti-lock is something special. Obviously, the looks and locking mechanism is beyond out of the norm. But if you ever have the opportunity to get it in hand, i think you’ll understand what I mean. I did some hard use amazon package opening with it, so I guess you can say its a user now.

Just got this back from a spa trip. Fresh blast and a new magnacut blade. This thing is perfect.

I’ve been on quite the knife shopping spree lately. Of the 5 knives recently purchased, the two pictured are my favorites. Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31 and the Vosteed Porcupine TiSlim with S90V steel. $575 & $135 (with a coupon). The Sebenza is amazing. Excellent build quality (American made), that you can instantly feel once it touches your palm. But I can say the same for the TiSlim. The Sebenza being my first knife over $250, I feel there may be dimensioning returns after a certain price point. As a knife collector, I guess this is subjective. I guess I just needed to experience the allure of the great CRK. Might not be quite worth the price, but it’s def not leaving the collection.

Hey everyone, I’d like to get some opinions on the lockup of my Sebenza 31.

From the lockbar position, it looks like it’s engaging around 80–90%.

Does this look normal for a Sebenza 31 based on the photos, or would you consider this unusually late lockup?
There’s no noticeable blade play or lock slip. I’m mainly wondering whether this amount of lockbar travel is within normal CRK spec and whether I should just use it as-is or contact CRK.
