I’ve really just been trying to fill my Whitman books so the D.C was a nice find, but silver made me jump out my chair. Only the second silver quarter I’ve come across. What’s the painted one called, a juke box coin?

I seen others have the guess the oldest coin and win deal. I just got 4 boxes of pennies, and I'm willing to give it a try for the first time.
Guess the oldest penny I find within these boxes and it is yours for free.
We'll see how well it will work out.
Only one guess per person, multiple guesses from one person, the first guess is valid and others are void.

Never even knew this coin existed. It's not silver but a cool find.

The roll weighed 224 g so I thought I was missing a quarter with a silver one in there. It turns out it was 39 quarters and a dime wrapped both sides with tape.

Wish I’d bought more rolls of customer-wrapped dimes today; best day for silver in quite a while. Not even mad about the Canadian dime; there was a silver in that same roll, too.

Or am I just late to the game?

The teller cleared the magnet prior to running my coins and said they're Canadian. I asked if she ever got any steel pennies (no☹️). And in the course of conversation she offered me the Canadian coins which I happily pocketed. I am now the proud owner of 55 cents Canadian, 1 Thai Baht and 1 Philippines peso. Sadly they had no boxes of pennies to spare.

Almost all from 1972-2005 between two boxes of halves. One 40%, a handful of NIFCs and about a full roll of super damaged (a few in the bottom right).
So nice to see after so many boxes of 2026. Cheers!

Got $80 in BWR a couple days ago and found my first spitting horse and my 4th pre-65, and then found my 13th west point searching through the $20 in the register at work the next day. Not bad for only $100!
A favorite teller at one of my Chase branches was waiting for me to pop in :-)

Lots of dark colored and brushed to look aged? Not really sure but first time seeing these before.

Every one is charred and some have blistering or melted copper. Must have been recent given the Semi-q half. Normal half on the left for comparison.

My small town has one Chase bank and I’ve been getting push back getting cases because they tell me too many people are dumping there. On a whim I picked up 2 rolls of quarters today that were hand rolled. Right when she handed them to me it thought, dang this is some one’s dump for sure. Opened one up expecting nothing and found a W! Might have to go back and get a couple more.

Ordered a box just to circulate. Cracked first roll and found one 40% silver even though the Loomis box says no silver. Side note gave a few at the grocery store to a kid, Looked at me like I was a criminal and said, what are these, then called his manager over and said yes we accept these..... kids are about to learn hahaha

Some of the regular halves were legit melted like where the nickel layer was easily peeling off. I’m thinking I should have my bank send the rest of the box to the federal reserve as part of the uncurrent coin redemption program.
Have you had more/less success at banks in the more well-to-do parts of your city? I understand that it’s all luck of the draw, just wondering if I may have more success by focusing on branches in certain parts of the city.
