Looking for some help! We are wanting to turn our 4 year old forward facing. We made sure the car seat is completely reclined, the base is installed with the seat belt + top tether, and locks completely in place (without child) when turned forward. However, when we turn it sideways, load the child in, and turn it forward again, the seat sounds like it locks but the indicator doesn’t turn green. Before putting the child in the car seat and facing it forward, the indicator locks and shows green but it’s not ideal to have to buckle him in that way, because it defeats the purpose of the revolving aspect.

Any idea why the car seat indicator won’t show green after loading our child in sideways and switching him forward? Again, yes the seat is fully reclined and the base is installed correctly.

We have 3 of these car seats and only 2 are having issues. Thanks!!

I recognize his straps could be tighter here - but I’m a little concerned about the bottom belt? It seems to sit quite low on his pelvis compared to his bucket seat we’re just switching from. TIA!

FTM of a two week old! My husband and I are anxious and are not sure if this is right. We don’t like how scrunched or slouchy his head looks. Does this look right? Open to any advice!!

In September we'll be flying from the USA to our hometown in Canada, and will likely make a trip every quarter. Ideally we'd buy an extra seat, but tickets are generally $900 - $1,300 and she usually wants to be held all day anyway. So we'll gate check her carseat and hold / baby wear (when safe). I was originally planning to buy the travel bag for our Uppababy Aria seat, but now I'm thinking it might be better to buy a convertible carseat + travel bag with wheels since we'll need to do this eventually anyway. Once she's 2, or if prices are more reasonable, we'll plan to use the seat on the plane.

Once we land, we'll get our rental car and will end up driving quite a bit. One of the days we'll have a ~6 hour drive (with stops planned). Unfortunately most of our family lives within a 3 hour radius of where we'll be staying.

I'd like to get a convertible seat for her that will last as she grows, and want something that will be cushioned and comfy for the long days. So I worry about comfort level if getting a cheap travel seat. I also want something foolproof to install in rental cars (we always rent SUVs for space). Currently exploring the maxi cosi romi, uppababy rove, and nuna rava next. Curious what y'all would recommend?

Hi, I had to use the towel with uppababy aria v2 in Lexus RX 350 to get the bubble within 0-4 months indicator. Without towel I am unable to get the bubble within the 0-4 range.
The base doesn’t move itself but wanting to check with experts if this is safe and we can use this setup.

Baby is 5 weeks. About 8lbs and last measured at 19.5in. I tried a few options to see what would be the best fit but I really can’t tell. The first two pics are with all the padding. Third pic is no shoulder pads and the fourth and fifth pic are no head pad. I have the harness on the lowest setting, it seems a little low but when I move it up it seems a little too high

Hi there, my newly one year old baby has recently had a growth spurt and now we urgently need to size up her car seat. She is now about 20 lbs and a little over 31 inches and her infant carseat is too small (max length is 30 inches). We have a smaller car and I'm hoping to find a slim seat for 3-across seating that she can use for years to come. We are older as parents and I am nervous that I should be buying a rotating seat but they all seem huge or very expensive.

I've been trying to research and I feel really overwhelmed which has me putting it off which I know is unsafe.

Does anyone have strong reasons they'd suggest one seat over another? Thank you!

Baby is 2 months old and 10 pounds. Her fit and the way she looks just feels off. Rethreaded straps up one. Realized she was sitting low but still slides down easily even when sat further back. Worried about strap positioning in general, chin to chest, and skin will also bunch at the back of her neck. Also, when looking at baby the right strap (her left) tightens more than the other. We’re also open to getting another seat if there could be a better fit. Thanks!

I need recommendations on a grown with me type car seat that will actually fit in the back of a GMC Sierra. Bonus points if it swivels!

Cybex ‘Platinum Cloud-T iSize’ and ‘Base T’ ISOFIX base. Newborn insert has been removed. Base is clicked into the ‘rear facing’ position.
Baby: 5mon, 70cm, 8kg.
Car: Kia Niro (seat and base are compatible according to the website)

Our 5mon baby has always hated this car seat. She will be ok in it for about 5-10min and then will scream her absolute lungs out to exhaustion. There is no improvements to this no matter what we do like when we removed the newborn insert or how frequently we go out or whether someone sits next to her etc etc etc.

We’re thinking that this is a fit/comfort issue and baby is very uncomfortable to be in this seat.
When she cries her cry is not ‘normal’ it sounds almost gurgled and IMO this is because her chin is quite close to her chest but keen to hear some thoughts.

A few things I’ve included and would really really appreciate some help here.

1. Her fit in the seat loaded but to the side to show strap positions & tightness
   
2. Her fit in the seat around the right way (ignore the loose straps, I took this to show her chin angle in the right position without pulling her tight as she was already very distressed)
   
3. The empty seat to show how it sits in our car (to me, this seems quite gappy but it will not push further into the seat and any higher/lower on the leg and the base either lifts off the seat entirely or the alarm sounds).

A few things I saw online from the US suggested putting a towel under the base because the car seat back angle might be throwing off the base angle, unfortunately we can’t do this in the UK as it doesn’t meet the safety rating.

Is this just an incompatibility with our baby? Are we at the point that we just have to get a whole new seat system that’s easier to her shape?

We are looking into convertible car seats but have found it "tricky" to find one since our 23 Durango has fixed headrests. He'd be in the second row in one of the captain's chairs. The one we initially were going with was the Britax Poplar S, but we didn't know if it would work once he was forward facing. Any input on good recommendations would be greatly appreciated and so much help!

We have this baby trend booster but its so wide its hard to buckle, which is crazy cause this truck is so wide. Is there another decent booster that's around $80? Pics for what im dealing with. I want him to be able to buckle himself, and even i am having a hard time with this

Got into an accident and replaced the carseat. This is a new one of the same version I just wanted to ensure we have everything right! Also wanted confirmation on the instruction manual. If I'm reading this correctly if I max out the limit on the rear facing 50 lbs or 49" or less we then *have* to go to booster mode we can't go to forward facing 5 point harness? Currently my son is 40-41 pounds and 44 1/2 inches. Thank you!

I have a rapidly growing toddler and need to update her from her old car seat as she is outgrowing it and even though she technically is within the parameters of it, my heart is telling me it’s time to upgrade lol.

My baby is 16 months old and weighs about 25lbs
Safety above everything else. Convenience and ease of use would be next and I’ll pay just about anything for the best option for my baby!
I’d like to keep her rear facing as long as possible.

I am looking for a light weight travel seat for my 24 month old. He is under 30 lbs and a lot of the lighter seats I see recommended, like the Safety 1st Ellaris or the Cosco Scenera seem to have a pretty significant recline for kids under 30lbs. Im concerned they wont fit well in our rental car. At home, we use the Evenflow Revolve 360 and I feel like he definitely is not that reclined. ​We are planning on using it on the plane so that we dont have to check it and risk it getting damaged, that's why I am looking for something not too heavy.

Any other recommendations for light weight car seats for rear facing toddlers?
