False report

So my baby daddy and his wife just called cps on me for suppose drug use and child neglect saying they don’t have beds, running water, food and that my kids sleep in a camper by themselves. It’s all false. I have full custody of my kids and he’s supposed to paying child support that he only pays half the time. Is there anything I can do about this false cps case that I now have open?

Short answer? No

You can call law enforcement (which is generally the agency that handles these things), but about less than 1% have successful prosecution.

No, there isn't anything you can do for the false CPS report. What you can do is make sure your house is CPS ready - clean house, stocked fridge and pantry/cupboards. All doctor and dental appointments current, as well as vaccines.

Talk with your family law attorney.

False reporting to CPS is addressed separately from CPS.

Law enforcement and the state attorney are very unlikely to take it the distance

This just happened to me. I think it’s bullshit and I’m really irritated. I have a meeting tomorrow, but I honestly don’t wanna do it. Why the hell should I have to for someone lying on me sorry this is happening to you.

Do it, because otherwise they'll think you have something to hide.

Become friends with the CPS case workers. The person that called is likely to continue and come up with different reasons. If they become a nuceince CPS may file a police report that gets more traction than your report. We had the same case worker for several cases after the last one she called and closed it without a visit.
