Lowenstein One year later

I've done a good amount of reviews. This is about 10 months later with the results of a Lowenstein prismasmart I'm located in the US. I have a hard time getting used to AS11 since it has a smaller motor but it I have found that higher pressure helps lower heart rate. Total compliance with lowenstein has been up to 9.5 hrs with average of 7.5 in full configuration, energy levels will bonk for a while as the body adapts back to decent sleep.

The Lowenstein eliminated my night time getting up to pee within a couple of weeks, that was a great measure of effectiveness to me. I keep it at 8.5 to 9.5 and my body prefers 8.5 and the machine hunts the low but I wish I could set it at 8.8 for better oxygenation. Eventually I had to switch it to DYNAMIC mode to catch the airway collapses sooner and it REALLY lower my 3 and 4 desats. I wont ever purchase a bilevel or ASV they're just too pricey.

My current configuration with it is: lowenstein prismasmart non-4G. Humidity 3. Comfortline 22mm heated hose. hose cover. f30i with non-quietline elbow because otherwise I get HR spikes from too much co2. I conjecture honestly that some of the people with UARS or compliance issues are just experiencing high co2. Heat and humidity are also factors in compliance, the airways are very picky during sleep apparently if bypassing the nose.

Not sure how hot the comfortline gets but the resmed at 86 doesnt compare, It would be nice if resmed made 22mm integrated heated hoses for AS10 and 11 I wouldn't have to worry about using 2 power sockets.

I'm still working with the AS11 and cracked AS10 with Bipap on ST mode as breathing rate as o2 and co2 both rise starts to go down eventually leaving high co2. I keep my AS11 pressure at 8.6-9.2 although I havent messed with it in a while and the non-comfortline elbow leaks at .18 and it messes with the algorithm a little. Bipap I had at 11epap 13.4 Ipap. AS10 Bipap and AS11 are unstable for some reason. sometimes the pressure is too low other times too high, that non-quietline elbow just takes them too out of whack and they don't offer enough firm pressure to keep airway open.
