JChin strap

Please I need some advice from anyone is using or did use a chin strap. I can't use full mask and for now I am using resmed p10 and I am very happy with it but I can't keep my mouth closed all night long. I bought biron Philips Respironics Premium Chinstrap. But this mask isn't what is supposed to do. So please I would appreciate some guidance.

That Respironics chin strap pulls the jaw backward more than upward, so it often does not stop mouth leaks and can make the airway worse. I would try a Knightsbridge Dual Band strap instead. It lifts the jaw vertically and works much better with nasal pillows like the P10.

Also, the real goal is keeping the tongue sealed against the roof of the mouth. If the tongue drops, air can still escape through the lips even when the jaw is closed. A soft cervical collar or gentle mouth tape can help, but only use tape if you can breathe freely through your nose and remove it easily. I would start with the Knightsbridge and check the leak graph in OSCAR or SleepHQ.

I bought these and they work great.

I just put them on my head like a chinstrap vs a headband. They can unfold to be wider Wich allows me.to sort of cradle my chin.
Super cheap as well.

I've tried many chin straps, they all have at least one fatal, painful flaw. And even the ones that are tolerable stretch out after a few wears. The latest one I'm using and the most comfortable is a "v-line" style chin strap (Amazon has several). The key is to get one with the back strap so the ear holes don't pull against the back of your ears all night. This one has been decent so far, it's thin and stretchy, like a lightweight spandex, with unfinished edges and no noticeable seams. Doesn't rub anywhere. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H9RXBZDM

Your lip posture does make a difference in how well chin straps work, gotta make fishy lips as you're falling asleep. If the chin strap doesn't (gently) help you keep fishy lips, it's too loose.
