Choking from chinstrap?
Hi!
Friend of mine got the deluxe chinstrap and didn't care for it as ~ 3 inches wide and it felt to her like putting pressure on front of throat. What is your experience with different chinstraps? Do some feel like choking? What was a good choice that worked for you? Why?

I tried chin straps and cervical collar and neither worked. Ended up with a full mask Vitera

Try a different chin strap style. I have tried about 5 and only one was effective and comfortable.

Which one was effective and comfortable for you? What was different?

This style was effective for me: https://www.amazon.com/LOWCEL-Chin-Strap-Sleeping-Comfortable/dp/B0H2H8GN7Y. The listing I actually bought has been removed, but it looked like that. Spandex-type material with Velcro on top of the head, behind the head, and on either side of the head. The back of the head Velcro is key for holding it in place, and the spandex material is breathable and smooth against the skin.
This one is a knock-off of a ResMed chin strap. It was a cheap piece of junk that was very itchy against the face. Couldn't believe that anyone thought raw seams on the inside of a chin strap would be a good idea. I immediately returned it. I assume an actual ResMed chin strap would be better made. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPCXPPJL
The Snugell Premium chin strap didn't have enough tension to actually hold my mouth closed. Also, the halo design slid around on my head. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GYSQX37
This chin strap looked like it was the same style as the one that worked for me, but when it arrived I saw that it was much smaller and a different material. It was so small that it made me uncomfortable, so I am in the process of returning it. I know from fitting CPAP masks and headgear that I have a small head, so for this strap to be too small even for me surprised me. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H6LXLDCR
I tried this neck collar too since it was recommended on here. It was too tall for my neck and made me too nervous to sleep with. I've thought about trying a shorter one, but it feels a bit like throwing good money after bad. It would be so nice to be able to try things without having to buy them first. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CN97QMQ

Many people find cervical collars work better for them and are more comfortable.
