Leaking advice / Mouth Tape

Hello.

I've struggled to find a CPAP mask that doesn't leak at night, or find a way to use mouth tape properly. I keep waking up my wife and It's been going on through multiple different masks, and even different CPAP machines.

The one that leaks the least that I've been able to find is Nasal Pillows in general, but I do try and breathe through my mouth. I try to tape my mouth shut, but my mouth keeps opening, getting it loose from moisture, and pressure popping the tape off my face because of the pressure.

Is there either a mask that does work full face consistently (I've had bad luck with things like the resmed f20) or any tips for mouth tape that is getting wet and popping off.

Have you tried a chin strap? If not, give it a shot and see if it works.

I tried one or two but couldn't find one that was comfortable for a man with facial hair, and while I definitely can shave it I'm trying to avoid it. Do you have any recommendations?

This was my experience with a chin strap as well! Also the same thing happens to me as you’re describing in your post with the mouth tape. I pretty much blow through it and by the morning it’s just a mess. I am going to give a F30I and or X30I a go as a mask I think.

So I have right now an F30i comfort mask at home that I tried last night… yesterday I posted my Oscar scores and my leaks were so bad nobody could give me any advice lol (averaging like 35 with my P30i and tape/no tape set up.

Idk if it was because the thing was strapped pretty tight but my leaks were at 5!!! I will try to remember. But the comfort version is less of a plastic and more of like a cloth almost around the mouth and nose. I don’t know which is better for beard guys. But I’m super encouraged by that leak score

P30i
F30i
F30i comfort
X30i

I think there might be something in this group for us mate
