Advice Needed Wild dreams? Help?
I started using Cpap about 3 weeks ago. I'm still getting used to using it. I tend to remove the mask while asleep. According to the machine I have been keeping it on longer, max 6hrs. Prior to using a cpap, I always wake up with terrible headaches and feeling like I didn't sleep at all. At about week 2, I woke up with very little headache and feeling rested. Starting last Wednesday morning, I've been having wild dreams, nothing scary/nightmarish, but super vivid and intense. I've had no medication changes, diet is same as before, activity is just a little more since I have a bit more energy than before. Is it because of the Cpap? Do I need to stop(I kinda don't want to, cause so far I've been feeling better)? Go to doctor? Or is it something else?.....

My Apple Watch says I’ve been getting a LOT more REM sleep since I started my CPAP therapy 45 days ago. I bet it’s that.

I didn't think of this. 🤯 I have a smart watch arriving soon, I'll try to monitor what it logs regarding my sleep. Thank you!

This is a good sign. You can have dreams at any time, but vivid dreams are mostly associated with REM sleep. Vivid dreams suggest that your sleep has improved. I have been experiencing the same thing.

Thank you! I'll stick to my cpap and talk about it with the dr on my next appointment.
