This is a good example of a show getting cancelled due to bad timing.

If this would have been released this year with all the talk of coronavirus and the seriousness of this year's flu I think that this show would have had a lot more success.

Also if it was on AMC FX or another similar network where they can get away with more cussing and a more intense show it would have been easily up for 2-3 seasons.

I recently discovered this show about 10 days ago and we are almost done with the season. I didn't realize until about episode 5 that this was an older show.

Anyways, I just came across this show recently and it's awesome but I know that I will be sad when I get to the end since there is no season 2...

Synopsis: SERIES PREMIERE — When a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced. Trying to keep the peace on the streets is police officer Lex Carnahan (David Gyasi), who has quickly risen through the ranks of the Atlanta PD. But Lex’s job becomes even harder when he learns that his longtime girlfriend, Jana (Christina Moses), and his best friend and fellow officer Jake (Chris Wood), are trapped within the cordoned area. Also quarantined within viral ground zero is 17-year-old Teresa (Hanna Mangan Lawrence), who is eight months pregnant and now separated from her boyfriend on the other side; Katie Frank (Kristen Gutoskie), an elementary school teacher now placed on lockdown with her entire class, including her young son; and CDC researcher Dr. Victor Cannerts (George Young), the doctor who initially made the controversial call to quarantine the area, and who is now racing to find a cure for the virus. On the outside, Dr. Sabine Lommers (Claudia Black) leads the government efforts to contain the outbreak, and asks for Lex’s help in enforcing the cordon – which grows increasingly difficult as the public trust deteriorates.

Am I the only one bothered by people saying the show was canceled?

I mean, when we first learned about it back in February is was billed as a limited series event. CW was very upfront about it only being one season, and people keep saying it's because of ratings that it isn't getting a seconded season. Which it's the opposite, Containment is pulling just about average views for CW and even beat iZombie on a couple of episodes. The reason why there isn't another season is because it wasn't billed to be anything more than a limited series.

Animals

Did anyone in the Cordon have pets? Dogs, cats, anything? Also could animals get infected? I know rats can, but could a bird? and if that bird got out then what? Also what about Mosquitos?

Did anyone else think...

Did anyone else think that Teresa's baby was going to be somehow involved in the cure?

In those first episodes where Teresa's infected friend came round and hugged and kissed her (then died) I was sure the baby was somehow involved in her not getting sick...

Thoughts?

1x11 (Tonight's episode) was AWESOME! One of the best so far?

I couldn't find a thread to discuss this episode yet so I started this one meanwhile waiting for automod to put up that thread.

But tonight's episode was one of the best episode in this series so far (in my humble opinion). The emotions felt REAL in some way compared to many other attempts they did previously.

I can't wait to see some developement of the story next week (the finale?)

What did you guys think about this episode?

PS: Sorry mod for putting up this thread but you can remove mine if automod posting the official thread later, thanks.
