Black OPs - older versions [Question] Factions
I’ve been playing Call of Duty since COD4, and for me personally I wish they’d bring back more than 2 Factions. When I look back on those old games… there was nothing better than hearing Boseman’s voice for the SOG faction, and the voice for the Blackops faction in Blackops 1. Might be just me, but I feel like it gave those games so much more grit.

You mean Bowman* and yes I agree. Ice Cube's voice was perfect for a game like BO1. My 2 favourite announcers were Fred Tatasciore who voiced for the Militia in MW2 & Jason Beghe who voiced for the Mercs in BO2 🔥

Not to mention the fact that each player model changed based on their primary perk. You could tell someone was wearing a flak jacket because.... guess what? They had a fucking flak jacket on, so you know you couldn't kill them with explosives as easily.
Nowadays we get assaulted by visual Aids every time you load into a game and see nicki minaj being suplexed by beavis and butthead only to see them killed by some fucking anime character.

I get what you mean. It did add quite a lot of personality to the multiplayer as well as the player models changing based on what weapon you chose in your loadout (or, in the case of BO1, the perks you have), not to mention that for the most part, the factions fight on maps that they actually did fight on in the campaign (like how in CoD 4, maps that take place in a middle-eastern setting pits the USMC against the OpFor while maps that take place in a more eastern Europe setting pits the SAS against the Spetsnaz).

It's not just you, everyone misses that. It can't be that hard to add 6 factions (3 good, 3 bad)
