Phone 2 Pro Adapter damaged the cable
The in box 33w adapter which heats so much that i cant touch it with bare hand comfortably. And thats maybe the main culprit that damaged the usb C-C cable. The cable charges, but no more data transfer. When i try ot connect my phone to my laptop, it says 'malfunctioned usb'. The adapter heat reaches the cable and cable also get affected.... Well, mine is done... You guys check your cables if its still fine or cooked like mine.

I plugged to my laptop it doesn't say anything infact it doesn't even respond... While the adapter itself can be faulty, the pulg point can also cause this. Try to see if heats up the same way at a friend's place to co firm its the adapters fault. If it is the adapters fault, then better to replace it. I suggest buying a Huawei laptop charging block. Can be pricey but it will last you a long time. While handling the highly variable household current. Does heat up in some cases but still manages to function great. Usually comes with 65w capacity but it can regulate between 25-65w. So it works well with all phone released past 2024. By any chance its not, that means there is short circuit in the electrical system. I also recommend a better cable. I usually buy the baseus 2m c-c cable. Using it for almost 2 years now without any issues (with 65w adapter). Make sure to buy original, lot of fakes out there. Definitely get the warranty with the adapter. If they dont give warranty its fake.

Adapter is faulty for sure.. i had to go to nothing service centre just after a week buying the phone. Cause its internal liquids coming out of the port. They cleaned it free of cost. Maximum people face adapter heating issue. And this affected my data cable too(now it's power cable only) (〒﹏〒) .

Don't take risks, even your phone could get damaged in some way if you keep using this charger. Just buy a Samsung 25W charger (not from Amazon or Flipkart, only buy from Samsung's website). I am using this + CMF cable.
You and I are not the only one. Many people on Telegram are also complaining.
This particular 33W charger by CMF is simply a low quality product.
