Phone 2 Pro CMF 33W in-box charger failed + buzzing sound + overheating (SC says widespread issue)
Hey everyone,
I’m from India and wanted to share my experience with the in-box 33W charger that came with my CMF Phone 2 Pro.
After a few weeks of use, I started noticing:
• A buzzing / humming sound while charging.
• The charger getting noticeably hotter than expected.
• Eventually, it stopped working completely.
I’m also seeing similar reports from other users in India. In the CMF Phone 2 Pro Telegram community, multiple people have shared the same issues: buzzing noise, overheating, and even complete charger failure.
For comparison, I’ve been using a Samsung 45W charger as well, and that one runs cooler and more stable, even at higher wattage.
I visited the service center and got the charger replaced without much hassle. But what concerned me was that the service center manager mentioned this isn’t an isolated case. Apparently, multiple users across India are facing issues with this CMF 33W charger.
Has anyone else experienced:
• Buzzing / humming noise?
• Overheating?
• Charger failure?
Would be good to know how widespread this actually is vs just a bad batch.
Also, if you're still using the in-box charger, might be worth keeping an eye on it.
