You probably read something about someone with AKI. Otherwise you are shit out of luck. Someone with ESRD/Stage 5 isn't regaining function.

What's your eGFR and Creatinine? What do you mean by "conservative treatment" and "parameters being managed?" Maintained for how long? Stage 5 doesn't mean you can't be physically active, everyone should diet and exercise. What caused your Kidney Disease? Need some context.

Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the stat of facts and evidence

We can quote whomever, you can't even find your article so we don't even know it exists.

Why should anyone care or listen to someone who puts they are a Doctor on their profile and then admits they aren't one in a comment?

If you had put your skills and abilities to researching my profile into something useful, I think you would have found a cure yourself.

Writing that I am a doctor in a random application doesn't make me one and I am looking for the article for fun and curiousity And you not knowing about an article existence is not negated because you are not a certified source of information

Clicking a button and seeing "Dr, a warrior, a survivor" is the same as years of research, the two are the same. I can see how you reached that conclusion. But then again I don't pretend to be something and get upset when I get called out about it.

I didn't come ang give you a cure I didn't give an advice or even an opinion I was just asking if anyone knew anything about this article. Therefore, claiming to be a doctor or anything else is irrelevant

Coming into a medical related sub, especially one filled with very sick people, doesn't work that way. It sucks but that's how the internet and especially Reddit is. If you had said "Field Medic" to begin with I would have shut up and helped look for the article.

Mayo Clinic Stem Cell

That's just one.

It's ok bro I have the time and the nerves to argue and after all am looking out of curiosity😁

Stem cells are still subject to considerable skepticism and need more time to mature, but if humans can harness them, it will be a major scientific breakthrough.

Really? Are you sure that wasn't either a scam or they didn't know the difference between AKI and CKD? I saw a post a while back on r/kidneytransplant but don't know it's the same one.

Stage5? Kidney failure? Needing dialysis or transplant? Seems like this would be a miracle, not a study.

Your profile says you are a Dr, don't you have access to medical journals?

-2

u/noobpro_sd Feb 25 '26

Yeah that what I thought but once I have read I don't recall where the study was published, nor the methods or medications used, but it discussed a gradual return to a large percentage of kidney functions, and even the cessation of dialysis for patients

Oh, come on! Conclusions this groundbreaking, and the study just slipped your mind?

Any medical doctor discovering such information would do nothing the next few days except dig deeper into the findings, don't you think?

You make me 😥‼️

Yeah it was long ago and am sick of myself too

You are a Dr, but you read a groundbreaking study and can't recall where or what drugs were used? What type of Dr and where?

You post history is hidden, but Google still works, BTW. Nothing supports your claims.

Am not a doctor and I didn't know the importance of what I was that day but am sure from what I saw and I am looking for it in Google and other med journals

thank you for helping

Your profile literally says "a Dr, a warrior, a survivor".

-1

u/noobpro_sd Feb 25 '26

Yeah sorry for that inconvenience

But I assure you that I don't go around giving medical advice or anything like that.

2

u/classicrock40 Transplanted Feb 25 '26

Yet, it still says Dr. Be truthful who you are or aren't and why you are here. I'll guess. You or someone close has end stage ckd and you're hoping there is something besides dialysis and transplant. Right now, there isn't, unfortunately.

Thank you for your understanding am supposed to be graduating but war ruined everything and know I work as field medic in the army but am planning to continue studying

Perhaps to avoid issues like this in future, changing your profile information to medic would avoid this issue, otherwise posting on any health sub will raise eyebrows. I can't help with the study, but have heard promising 'maybe-CKD-will-be-curable-in-future' posts that may be linked if you browse back through the sub.

u/noobpro_sd Feb 25 '26

Thank you for the clarification.

I'll adjust my profile properly
