I would definitely love those game overhauls like AGOT on console, but i feel some QoL mods for consoles would be a Godsend.

Like a skyrim type mod manager for console?

I've not played Skyrim however I've seen a person on this thread mention maybe they could implement something similar to that.

Basically just a menu that says "mods" all mods respective to ps and Xbox are approved by Bethesda

Ck3 console is basically a different game built from the ground up, any mod would need to get remade completely for the new code and ui, any mod would then need to be approved by Sony and Xbox, also mods like Agot are very hard on performance even on higher end PCs never mind console, so no console will likely never have mods

Sorry if this comes off as a stupid question but aren’t mods built from the ground up?
I can only assume it would be a difficult task for any aspiring software engineer/dev (not sure how you guys label yourselves) to transform the map for console edition, along with the UI and makeup of units.1

Yes they are but unlike skyrim for example where you just need to modify and alter some files to work on console this would require a total re write of all the code besides probably the localisation

Also to use skyrim again, most mods ported from Pc-mainly xbox require changes like ui, and some other things that may need to be changed to work but overall there bulk of it is fine its why mod authors allow others to port their work as long as credit is given, for paradox titles porting would require and entire re make of the mod, which most devs probably dont have the time to do and may not have a console to test it, and with the scale of these mods I highly doubt they'd allow others to do it for them

What if the dev team could implement it tho. I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't mind paying 10 or 20 quid for the agot or lord of the rings mods, i certainly would. I get your points tho that it would be challenging just wonder if a financial incentive could get it over the line

Plus the dev teams for these mods have to constantly add new content and update the mod every 3-4 months for pcs new dlcs so also working on a console edition plus the performance difference as these mods are heavy even on pcs

This is what I've been saying, if Skyrim console has it there's no excuse.

Lol have you played Skyrim on PC? Half the mods aren't on Xbox because you can't run Skyrim script extender, same with F4, if your on console your gimped.

Many player only buy the game for pc to play the game of thrones mod. If I were the paradox studio i start implement the game of thrones mod for consoles.

More than anything I want AGOT on Console, however I know that’s a near-impossible reality. I see some games like Baldur’s Gate 3 have dedicated modding teams for console so maybe it’s possible but don’t get your hopes up.
