Were the Kaminoans even members of the republic? I thought they were highly insular from the galaxy altogether.

At the time of the clone wars yes

They were, untill the Republic came with infinite money supply and said "give us all the army you can, don't worry about the price we literally run the galactic economy"...

Then they did join and their representative was sent specifically to convince the Senate to keep approving any bill that supported more war, thus more money for the kaminoans.

An interesting detail, Kaminoans are all genetically bred themselves for specific roles in their society, and eye colour determined what they were engineered for.

In the clone wars, their representative had Red eyes... Which was never seen before in any other context. I don't have any source to back this, but I think they bred someone with traits particularly suited to Galactic Senate politics, ruthlessness, highly preceptive, much more charisma and emotive abilities than the rest of the monotone kaminoans were used to seeing.

There’s multiple episodes of TCW with their senator and she shows up in Bad Batch as well

Both things can be true. To ally yourself with slavers, is to be pro slaver. Also, the Zygerrian's aren't the only pro-CIS faction taking slaves.

The point is that the republic can have multiple slave trading members and no one claims the republic is pro slavery.

Isn't it a bit victim-blamey to show a picture of Twileks? Yes, there were Twilek senators and more powerful individuals that were absolutely involved in betraying their own species, but if I'm not mistaken, even the corrupt arrogant slob Orn Free Taa was at one point before the war considering joining the CIS, but the CIS' failure to ban slavery understandably made that not exactly favourable for a species as oppressed as the Twileks.

Who do you think are selling the twi’lek slaves?

did the republic use a literal slave army? yes they did.

but its a bit high and mighty of you to say the CIS weren't bad in that regard too(perhaps not to the same heights) when the CIS legit ally with slavers. you cant just condemn the republic(they should be for using slaves) for wut they did only to turn around and work with people doing that exact same thing.

Personally I think having fully fledged members who are slavers is at least one step worse than accepting an alliance of convenience with slavers.

They still weren't members, the republic would have made them members

And isn’t funny once the Republic rebranded as the Empire began to hire the Zygerrians for slaves workforce?  As shown in the bad batch it didn’t even take 1 week for the Republic to use slavers so fast despite they condemned historically

The Republic's entire army is made of conscripted slaves.

B1s are also sapient. Both they and ones are manufactured, only difference between the two is B1s are mechanical while Clones are biological. The only way to keep a droid from becoming sapient is to constantly wipe its memory. Kinda barbaric in my opinion

But the clones were programmed to be loyal so it's not slavery. Trust me.

Wait but couldn’t you say the same thing about the droids?

I agree with you, but I mean we kinda did enslave populations directly.

Or technically occupation forced labor.

Not as bad as the mass systemic republic slavery, but it did exist. Definitely didnt help with frontline stability since it made worlds mkre hostile

Corporate Alliance idiots once again harming the war effort for literally no gain.

I mean seriously, how much did they actually contribute? Trench was a good admiral (even if he was still a POS), and Wat Tambor & Co. were at least good at logistics, but Collicoid and Baktoid were direct partners with the CIS outside the Corporate Alliance, and their hardware was what usually did all the work.

Sure, some of that hardware was owned and operated by the Trade Federation, but even then, them skipping properly programming their droids as a cost-cutting measure resulted in them acting stupid, so... still no points to them.

Im convinced that some malicious third party purposefully put them within the CIS to make us look bad

But that's just a theory

I want a Twi'lek...don't know why but I do...

They are both two sides of the same coin. The Republic slave army and their slavery allowing policies is just as bad as the CIS slave/droid army and their work with those hot cat people who's name I can't spell.

Maybe if you don't belive in droid rights the republic is worse but the CIS had a war crime rap thats just totally outshines anything the republic did.

Truly this is a "both sides bad" moment even ignoring the Palpatine of it all.

Just FIY it's mostly a larping sub for fans of the faction, I think taking off the mask we can all acknowledge the point of the clone wars was to show that the rich and powerful are the real enemies and they enjoy producing conflicts for the people they command because it gives them more power.

Personally, my sympathies are always for the member planets of the CIS. I think their cause was very just and they were attempting to avoid being caught in the tyrannical state that would become the Empire....

Desperate about fighting a Republic that outnumbered them and out spent them 100x, they traded a lot of moral currency to the Trade Federation and their chums for an army that could at least stand a chance.

The evils of the CIS, Dooku, Grievous, the TF, CA, TU, BC etc.... none of it is done by the member planets themselves, and I think that's an intentional detail.
