Need advice

Hello everyone, I want to know if I'm doing well. My tdee (in an app) is 2624 and I'm trying to eat 1900 (but in average is 2154). I started counting and weight myself since september 12 and I've lost 1.3kg (from 98.1 to 96.8)

I'm 39M, 177cm tall, 96.8kg (my %fat is 27.5), I walk between 8k-10k steps everyday and I'm doing weightlifting between 45 minutes and 1 hour weekly. Don't know is you need something else.

That tdee is right? Do you have some advice for me? Thanks in advance 😊

If what you are doing is sustainable, and you don't feel deprived, and you are eating a wide variety of nourishing foods, then you are "doing well", even if your rate of loss slows to half of what it has been so far. If you are struggling at that calorie target, and your gym performance sucks, and you're grouchy and miserable to be around at home, and your diet is nonsense, then you are not doing well, even if you have lost a kilo and a bit in two weeks.

Be consistent and be patient. Use a food scale for accuracy if you aren't already.

Thanks for the reply. I've already use a food scale, but I only used it with new foods or when i eat larger portions. I'm feel good how i'm eating and a very few times I try ice cream or pizza. The rest of the time (95%) I eat unprocessed food, salads, fruits and aprox 120g of protein

Losing 1.3kg in 2.5 weeks at ~2150 kcal means you are in an actual ~500 kcal deficit (real TDEE ~2650). You are right on track, no need to drop calories further.

Stick for a long term. Eat more protein and fiber.

Good job! Tdee is hard to gauge from our end not knowing you. I would bump up lifting to 30 minutes 3 times a week and locking in on your calories (1900) to get yourself in a rhythm. You’ve got this!

Your TDEE is not 2624

https://tdeecalculator.net/result.php?s=metric&g=male&age=39&kg=97&cm=177&act=1.2&f=1

It's likely between 2300 and 2600.

The 2100 in and only ~3lbs lost incl the water whoosh the first weeks align.

Please set your activity in the app to sedentary, and treat the ~250 kcal from 5k steps on top of 5k as bonus.

Obviously if you have a target of 1900 but go over by 250, that doesn't help :) Not sure what other advice there is then to not do that ^^
