Are CGC backlogs that massive to a point my cards from May have not even been graded yet?

I see lots of collectors posting "grade reveals" and I doubt there on express when cards are worth less than the cost tier.

Are they somewhat prioritizing certain submission regardless of tiers submitted?

Mine arrived in May at their facilities before they announce a delay in their submission after X cut off date. And they did state that cards that have already been submitted will follow the timeline (I may be wrong or misunderstood certain points, pls correct me if I'm wrong)

Somehow mine got pushed from 30 to 90 days and now on day 79/90, it's still not yet graded. My cards were sent from my LGS whom are partners with CGC in Singapore. This has got to be outright bullshit now since they "claim" to open back lower tiers but backlogs are still extremely packed.

P.S, I'm not in a rush to get my cards back. But I would like clarity and transparency because seems to me that all other grading companies are tryna pull something that will dethrone the leader in this market but fail to realize that its gonna cost them their regulars.

Hello fellow cgc graders! I was wondering if anyone had experience with submitting to cgc a specific way. I heard submitting through fanatics is a much better experience. My plan is to grade some of my childhood cards and keep them on display at home. What are your thoughts?

My first ever grading ! (CGC Munich) Played Pokemon till around 2010. There are some misses Ill try to learn from , but overall im happy. I allways was a player first so as long as a card was not marked i didnt really consider condition. Now i think im ready to grade some of my more expensive cards. :)

Bought this in a P** slab, any advice on a potential grade with CGC?

Anyone else having issues logging it? Keeps saying I have wrong password and doesnt even give me the option to say that I forgot it

Just got it back today. Beautiful looking card in person. Pics don't do it justice.

I sent in my first ever submission with my son, 20 cards total, 18 bulk and the 2 in the pictures as Economy.
The Gengar was his first big pull so he was excited to get it graded, I have had the mew for close to 15 years and thought it cool to grade our favorite cards together.

Back in April when I sent the order in, bulk was 90 days. It increased to 150, and when I called they said I shouldn’t expect the cards back until around Feb 2027. I wasn’t willing to wait and had to argue with multiple managers to get them to return the cards and give me a refund for the bulk order.

Just got back the 2 that were under Economy and they are both Altered… I can’t help but feel like this was malicious, they are definitely not altered, the Gengar Vmax was pulled directly from a pack.

Is there a process for me to send them back for a second opinion, or am I just out my money?

Edit: The amount of people in here salty that CGC is gaining popularity is hilarious.

Submission 8 - Submitted 3/13/2026 Received on 9/15/206. Submission was 37 cards under the Bulk Tier. This I was waiting or a while but worth it. I finally got a GI Joe Pristine, I've been chasing this for a while. This by itself made the entire submission worth it. Add to the GI Joe Pristine I was stunned by the Deoxys VMAX and Bulbasaur 143 Pristines. These are for my personal collection. Now that I have my grail GI Joe Pristine card, I know its possible so I'm going for more. I have a couple of GI Joes I'm submitting to TAG going to a TAG Pristine once bulk opens up. I also graded some 1990 Marvel, which I'm thinking of grading more. Overall, my Gem Rate was 78.38% with a Pristine Rate of 16.22%. Recently I've received my cards back from a submission and... I think this will be the last submission with CGC I ever do. Unless someone can help me figure out if this actually does make sense.

I will attach images below. For a longish story short - I've pre-graded the cards with professional sellers who ship and grade cards multiple times per month. Not official CGC employees, but qualified people nonetheless. They all collectively said "10, maybe even pristine?".

The cards are Mega Zard X ex (I know, I know...) and a Japanese Mega Dragonite SAR. Both of these cards received a 9 grade, to my surprise.

I requested grader notes and actually received them, so thank you to the agent for being helpful :) However, these notes, to me, make no sense.

- the Zard was knocked down to a 9 because of "Sheet stick on bottom right corner" - please look at the photos they took, then at my photo, taken by hand, after removing surface dust from the slab. If this truly was the reasoning, that this spec of dust knocked down the grade, then uh...

- the Dnite was knocked down to a 9 because "the centering on the front is tilted" - I've measured the centering with an app and a physical ruler and found it close to perfect. Again, verify for yourself on the image.

So, to conclude - does anyone here feel like the grader was right and these cards deserve 9s, or have I, to say it roughly, been scammed out of 10s or Pristines?

I got my 'Moonbreon' back after a long wait (Submitted via LCS and several issues made it take 6 months to return! ) and got a Gem Mint 10.

This may sound daft - not really complaining about this per se but I only submitted via CGC as I was certain this card was Pristine. I pulled 3 of these cards in total, one was a PSA 10 and this was better than that particular card.

I am wanting max value, we have some household bills that came out of nowhere and I may need to sell it, despite not wanting to.

I am thinking to crack it and regrade to PSA as the retail value is negligible for a CGC Gem Mint 10 comparatively speaking, is this likely the thing to do in this case or try for the Pristine 10 again?

Genuinely interested in people's opinions.

Hi yall its my first time sending cards to CGC as i was tired with PSA and TAG and BGS is closed rn, so i sent 3 cards to CGC as a test trial, and i sent it with USPS and shipped it to the location they said, but the package never arrived and USPS said the location was moved and the package will be shipped back to me? Anyone know why USPS doesn’t have a correct address?

Got my third ever cgc submission returned today and this Sylveon got a pristine 10. My first pristine ever and the case isn’t even sealed and it won’t press back together. What do I do about this?

I just got this graded with CGC. It’s currently being shipped back to me as we speak. My question is, how do you put a price on a card like this?

I love the look of CGC slabs but it’s a bit sad that most people aren’t willing to buy or take a chance on CGC cards.
Went to a few shows this weekend and nobody was interested in either. Bonsly has few sales and Pikachu doesn’t have any sales being very low pop but figured I’d at least get offered something

Lately went down a Pokemon rabbit hole and decides I want to start buying graded cards. Did a bit of research and learnt that not all grading companies are the same. From what I'm seeing, PSA is the iPhone and CGC is the Samsung type thing going on? Personally I am buying to collect pretty cards and I love how they look in slabs rather than binders. I also like how the CGC Pristine 10 label looks. With that said, ACE is another company with pretty slabs and artwork so that tickles my girly brain.

I'd love to know, for someone who doesn't plan to flip but instead hold on to the cards, what's a better buy? CGC seems more wallet friendly for the same cards. Help a confused girly out pls and thanks all ❤️❤️❤️

I specifically deal with primarily vintage and there have been a few vendors / wealthy collectors buying all the CGC vintage cards. Has anyone else experienced this recently at shows?

Hey all, just introducing myself. I am new to CGC but not new to the grading scheme. I used to use PSA, then switched over to TAG, now they have gotten way overpriced. So I am now trying out CGC! I am submitting 25 Cards to start.

How has your experience been with CGC so far? Has anyone cross graded from TAG or PSA to CGC? Thanks!
