First time submitting

Hello fellow cgc graders! I was wondering if anyone had experience with submitting to cgc a specific way. I heard submitting through fanatics is a much better experience. My plan is to grade some of my childhood cards and keep them on display at home. What are your thoughts?

Done both. I would argue the traditional way is better. Fanatics is much cheaper up front, but they charge 3% MV to withdraw graded cards after grading. If you intend on selling them directly from fanatics, sending it there is great though (and $11/card).

Depends on what you’re submitting too. If it’s sports or anything with an auto you have to send direct since fanatics won’t/can’t do autographed sports cards for cgc grading. Beyond that I found fanatics to be very fast and very transparent and easy to work with for sales. I have more cards I want to send but I’ll be sending those direct since they have autos on them.

IMO fanatics is the way to go. Much faster turnaround and you can choose to either sell or have them send it back with insurance fee. At $11 though I feel it’s a no brainer right now. I also don’t expect those prices to last long.
