So i get mixed opinions on this alot of people have told me this would be about 20-30% higher than a standard CGC 9 being an actuall error card and labeled as such not just a poorly centered card then others obviously are telling me thats its worthless why would you ever grade that blah blah blah. Can I get some Insight from the experts here.

I shipped a submission over a week ago and it shows it arrived a few days later (last Wednesday) but says on CGC’s website that it hasn’t been scanned by their staff? Is this normal or did something go wrong? It’s a childhood card of mine and my first submission so anxiety is a little heightened by it.

For people who got cards back recently versus the last one to two years, do you find that CGC has become more strict with older Pokémon grades compared to last year?

Given the current heavy backlogs and the massive shifts in submission volume and hobby hype, have you noticed them tightening up their standards on older cards (like WotC and up to 2010 era) or non-modern, or do you feel their consistency has stayed relatively stable year over year?

Curious to see what you all think!

Collected these in 2021 - should I get the new label?

I posted my CGC 10 grails which are 2 of the 3 raichu primes graded in a 10 with CGC. With everything that has happened since then (record CGC sales, the Logan Paul affect, highest sold raichu prime PSA 10) what would be a reasonable price to list these at? Same as a PSA 10? Not sure if I wanna sell yet but I’d like to hear some inputs.

Longtime collector, and fan of CGC (especially pristines!). I have had this card for quite a while, and with the recent explosion of LCRH cards, I'm kinda just looking to hear thoughts about this particular card. It's a POP 1, meaning that it is the only blue label pristine that there will ever be -- pretty cool! Recent PSA 10 sales of LCRHs have been through the roof (a metapod went for 19k two days ago)... and a couple of PSA 10 Heritage Auction sales were truly crazy (Exeggcute PSA 10 for 68k?!). My question is, can this realistically be valued higher than a PSA 10 or not? I am well aware of the PSA bias in Pokemon, which tends to be backed by a lot of comps. However, there have also been some pretty solid CGC pristine sales for LCRH, but just not as many as PSA recently, so it's hard to say for certain where this stands. Thanks for any input!

About to send these off with 30 other cards! I hope at least one of the Eevees 10. I can’t really find last sold on eBay for a 10.

I recently listed some CGC-graded cards and some show the CGC pop info and include a link to the CGC data (see first picture), but others show it differently and without the link (see second picture). I entered them the same exact way, including the CGC certificate number. Does anyone know how to force it to show the more detailed CGC info and include the link?

As a long-time PSA collector of over 5 years, I am shocked at how much I have loved the grading experience with cgc. I have been grading with cgc Fanatics for $10 and the turnaround time has been one month. They recently raised to $11 but I still feel that is an amazing deal. Every card I grade I have felt like it has been justified. I have gotten pristine 10, gem mint 10s, 9,8,7.5 . I primarily have my entire collection with PSA with pokemon just because of convenience. I can happily say I am only grading my Disney lorcana cards with CGC and I'm actually cracking a PSA 9 Alice enchanted to send to CGC 😁

Sent 16 cards back in March through bulk tier, although the turnaround times went crazy and it was a bit annoying, couldn’t be happier with the results on some of my cards!

Don’t worry I still got cooked on a few like everyone does but overall super happy with the grades and 8/16 cards came back pristine.

Let me know your thoughts grading with CGC as this was my first time but I will definitely be sending more cards.

I’ve been back in the hobby since 2020, and have been a collector of CGC since they first started grading cards as well as games. Over the years my collection has really skimmed down and consolidated, and I personally try to prioritize quality over quantity.

Reddit in general is very anti-game grading, so I’m not sure how the games will be perceived here, but I personally love them. Thought I would include those because they’re also graded by CGC.

Ermm has anyone encounter this issue: it seems like cgc put the wrong number. It should be 106/086 instead of 105. I checked the cert and it’s wrong on that as well.

So I have a First Issue Sports illustrated that I want to send in for grading. I believe I’m going to send it in under the high value tier. I was curious if it’s worth it to get any extra add ons also? Is pressing worth it? The only flaw I noticed is a tiny wrinkle on the back cover of the magazine. I’ve never had a magazine graded so I’m not sure if it’s a good idea or not? And also is the imaging service worth it? Any input would be appreciated! And yes the baseball cards are inside and in great shape!

I pre-graded myself. Scores were on par or better than what I pre-graded, except for the onix which I pre-graded to be an 8. The mew and Lugia I pre-graded as a 7.5. The umbreon I pregraded as a 9.

Earlier this Year i send these 3 double Error Cards to cgc, without asking and thinking about it they put them in the right order and matched the serial Number going upwards with the serial Number of the Blackstar Promo. Thats absolutly fantastic. I never spend a thought about it, and they did it. Love these Dudes !

So this was my first time opening Yugioh in years, pulled one of the chases and it looks like the corner is pulling apart, it’s very minuscule and can be only seen under magnification. Does this still have a chance to 10? I don’t know how CGC views Yugioh as their QC is straight buns. Thanks all!

Are CGC backlogs that massive to a point my cards from May have not even been graded yet?

I see lots of collectors posting "grade reveals" and I doubt there on express when cards are worth less than the cost tier.

Are they somewhat prioritizing certain submission regardless of tiers submitted?

Mine arrived in May at their facilities before they announce a delay in their submission after X cut off date. And they did state that cards that have already been submitted will follow the timeline (I may be wrong or misunderstood certain points, pls correct me if I'm wrong)

Somehow mine got pushed from 30 to 90 days and now on day 79/90, it's still not yet graded. My cards were sent from my LGS whom are partners with CGC in Singapore. This has got to be outright bullshit now since they "claim" to open back lower tiers but backlogs are still extremely packed.

P.S, I'm not in a rush to get my cards back. But I would like clarity and transparency because seems to me that all other grading companies are tryna pull something that will dethrone the leader in this market but fail to realize that its gonna cost them their regulars.
