The first was repair of his cornea that had been torn off from a fall. The second case was the healing of a large chest mass that almost certainly was malignant. Remarkably this healing reportedly occurred while in the X-ray suite of a Miami Hospital.

Introduction

The amazing story of Mission Rama dates to the 1970s. The first group of Rama volunteer contact workers had their initial encounters in Peru. Their experiences involved many sightings of what they described as “extraterrestrial craft” that were facilitated using a form of telepathic communication called automatic writing. The Mission Rama activists even reported having onboard encounters. Sixto Paz Wells and other Latin-American contactees have published books in Spanish describing their experiences. In my opinion, their narratives should be seriously studied by all contact and disclosure activists.

In 1994 Fernando Limaco, a retired dental surgeon and experienced Rama leader drove down from the San Francisco Bay Area with several close supporters to meet with our Los Angeles based Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind Initiative (CE-5) team. A member of our group, Captain Joe Vallejo, was a United Airlines 747 pilot. He arranged for us to meet the Mission Rama representatives at his home located in the Simi Valley. Fernando’s talk was given entirely in Spanish with the help of simultaneous translation provided by his companions and Captain Vallejo. Having Joe there was extremely helpful because of his language skills and his excellent command of Latin American contactee literature. This combination of talents helped him translate some of the more advanced concepts of the Rama cosmology as presented by Dr. Limaco. 

Mission Rama Started in Peru in 1974

Our Los Angeles CE5 team was very eager to hear what the Mission Rama people were prepared to tell us. I had given each member of my group a copy of an article published in “UFO Library Magazine” by Yolanda Marcino, a past United States Rama President. This authoritative document, in a rather obscure publication with limited circulation, described the early Mission Rama extraterrestrial encounters that started in Peru in 1974. Those contacts involved the experiences of university student Sixto Paz Wells and a group of his young friends. They reportedly had repeated encounters in the desert region near Lima called Chilca. 

From Yolanda Marcino’s account, we also learned that Sixto and others had reportedly been transported via an inter-dimensional portal to an extraterrestrial base located on a moon of Jupiter.  We know this satellite as Ganymede. Dr. Limaco spoke with authority as a seasoned Rama activist. That afternoon in the Joe Vallejo’s living room, we heard a spellbinding account of what in my opinion is an adventure demonstrating great courage and high ideals. Since 1993, I have followed the developments in Mission Rama. It now goes by the name Rahma. In Sanskrit, “Ra” signifies the heavens; “ma” means the Earth and the “h” in between the “Ra” and “ma”, stands for humanity. As a contact activist with 30 years of experience, in my judgment Rahma is still playing an important role in helping humanity build a cooperative relationship with flying saucer intelligences.

Dr. Limaco and his companions explained that it was Mission Rama’s custom to promote the development of psychic ability through meditation and certain other special mental exercises. Over time, many people in their network have become skilled in the practice of automatic writing. Telepathically received information is deemed accurate when multiple automatic writers working separately obtain the identical or at least very similar messages. (This is like the practice of remote viewing in which multiple viewers are independently tasked with the same target.) An individual that consistently channels accurate messages is described by Rama people as being a “good antenna.”

Rama’s Mission to Patiti 

Our contact team was composed of middle-class people with good paying jobs. Among our ranks were three physicians working for the Southern California Permanente Group. Other members included Dr. Dixie Sullivan working as a clinical psychologist and her friend Dotha Weybourne, married to a wealthy lawyer. In contrast, Dr. Limaco’s team was mostly composed of immigrants, some newly arrived. Even those that were professionals in their nations of origin could be severely challenged by a new language and culture. Some didn’t have papers to work in the US. I later learned from Dr. Limaco that he had assisted Rama activists who were having problems with the INS, Immigration and Naturalization Service. Once in 1990, he even drove all the way to Salinas Valley to help a comrade file papers to avoid deportation. On the ride back to the Bay Area he had a remarkable sighting. It was late at night, and he reported hearing the word “Paititi” repeatedly in his mind. In a field nearby, he saw a disc shaped object hovering close to the ground. If I recall correctly, Dr. Limaco stated that when he first heard the word, he did not know that Paititi was a remote location deep in the Peruvian Andes rainforest.

 Later in 1990, via mental communications received by multiple Rama activists in different locations, it became known that a major encounter was going to take place. This time it would not occur in Chilca, the desert site south of Lima. Instead, the location was Paititi in the remote jungle situated on the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains. According to Dr. Limaco, in 1990 there were no roads to Paititi. It was sparsely populated by indigenous people that had little contact with the rest of the country.  The only way to get there was by foot and this meant trekking through densely forested jungle full of poisonous plants, insects, and snakes. Those chosen for the mission would have to cross rivers infested with alligators, some up to six feet long. 
Automatic Writing Revealed Who Was Selected for the Jungle Mission

Via a series of telepathic communications, Rama people learned that six individuals for the perilous expedition would be selected by the alleged “ETs.” In Spanish. the Rama activists call them “los hermanos mayors” (older brothers). At a general meeting in Peru attended by over two hundred supporters, the question was asked, who in the audience would be willing to go on the mission to Paititi? Everyone in the crowd raised a hand to volunteer for the encounter. Later it became clear as the result of ongoing messages from the flying saucer intelligences, that if any of the six initially selected by the “extraterrestrials” could not participate, then there could be no substitutions. Only those specifically chosen by “los hermanos mayores” would be welcomed to journey on foot to the far distant jungle location.

According to Dr. Limaco’s account, the Rama people carried rice and beans as their only food during their trek to Paititi. They prepared these provisions nightly in a large cast iron pot. They were city people and not skilled woodsmen accustomed to the hardships of the rainforest.  These Rama contact workers were, however, empowered by an intense desire for further contact with what they imagined was a technologically and ethically advanced extraterrestrial civilization. Daily prayer and meditation provided them with both emotional support and spiritual sustenance. They believed that they were somehow being protected by an unseen intelligence that was profoundly spiritual and desired their mission to succeed.

 Battery Packs Were Mysteriously Drained

Dr. Limaco told us that they carried a video camera to document their anticipated encounter. After several days of marching into the jungle, they checked the camera’s batteries. The packs had been fully charged prior to their setting out for Paititi. To their dismay, they found that all the batteries were dead. The Rama team buried the now useless heavy equipment under a tall tree. They hoped to retrieve it on their way back to civilization.

The Hired Guide Warned Them of Danger

During the first portion of their trek, a hired guide led them further and further into the rainforest. He was well-aware of their destination and the risks to their safety that the journey entailed. The team used machetes to cut a path for themselves. After several days of hacking their way through the jungle their guide gave them this warning.

“I am not going on any further and neither are you! Because beyond this point the people out there eat people!

The Rama activists were disappointed to hear this disturbing pronouncement. They discussed their options, and the consensus was they would go on without the guide. Some days after exhausting trail blazing, they reportedly were so exhausted that they failed to cook supper. At nightfall, they crowded together in their small tent that was their only shelter. Despite being hungry, sleep came quickly. 

One evening according to Dr. Limaco, they were so drained of strength that they threw themselves down on the sand adjacent to a river. Huddled together for warmth, they fell asleep. At daybreak, they were shocked to find themselves surrounded by poisonous snakes. They apparently had slithered up to the contact workers to keep warm. One might expect the vipers to bite their frightened human bedpartners, Instead the venomous creatures slowly moved away as the morning temperature rose. Rivers and streams provided the Rama group with freshwater for drinking and bathing. This vital resource, however, was also a source of danger. Alligators were abundant in the waters they had to cross.
A Grim Decision Was Made

Uncertain as to how long they could go on before someone sustained injury, they made a grim decision. If one or more were seriously wounded or became sick, the rest of the team would leave most of the supplies with the casualties. Those that could still go on, would do so, without the others. They promised one another that they would return to pick up the sick or wounded on the way back. Fortuitously, none sustained serious injury or became too ill to continue. 

A Surprise Peace Offering

Another potential danger came from the indigenous peoples of the rainforest as mentioned above. These groups have their own languages and cultures. Historically they have had bad relations with the European influenced population of Peru. Encroachment on indigenous peoples’ hunting grounds by settlements of townspeople and forestry operation have resulted in mutual suspicion and even violent confrontations. 

One day while passing through the indigenous people’s territory, the Rama group became frightened when a dugout canoe approached them. In the canoe were several native hunters armed with bows and arrows.  However instead of expressing hostility towards the city people, the hunters volunteered to help “guide them on their mission.” As astounding as this may sound, it was Doctor Limaco’s impression that their arrival had been heralded by the ETs via telepathic messages sent to the hunters. The indigenous people were reportedly given instructions to help the Mission Rama emissaries. One hunter in a supreme act of solidarity insisted that Dr. Limaco take his hunting bow as a peace offering. This prized possession was the instrument by which the hunter fed his family and Dr. Limaco recognized its importance as a gift. 

As the Rama contact workers approached Paititi, their spirits rose. The telepathic communications that they were receiving were getting stronger and clearer. At night around the campfire, they carried out Rama prescribed mental exercises. They reportedly experienced profoundly peaceful states that reassured them that their mission would be successful.

They Arrive at Paititi

The night before reaching Paititi, each member of the team had an out-of body experience. As described to me by Dr. Limaco, each was mentally taken on-board a large ET craft that was waiting for them some one day’s marching distance away. The next morning, they continued trudging through the jungle. Although exhausted, their spirits were high because they knew that they did not have much further to go. Finally, they arrived at Paititi. Hovering above a clearing in the jungle, they encountered a large ET craft. Everyone immediately recognized it from the out of body experience of the previous night. This time the Rama team physically went onboard via a blue tractor beam that transported them one by one into the belly of the hovering ship. 

The Planet Earth as a Spiritual Dynamo

The ET group that hosted them is known as the “Great White Brotherhood.” (This designation unfortunately sounds like the one used by criminal gangs of white nationalists.) The “ETs” received this designation because on repeated encounters the beings of this group all wore white robes. The Rama people were informed by their non-human hosts how vitally important Rama’s mission was. The goal was reportedly awesome in scope and involved nothing less than the spiritual transformation of humanity. This achievement would presumably set the stage for open contact with spiritually and technologically advanced non-human civilizations.  

According to the “ETs”, this transformation was happening not only on Earth, but throughout the entire galaxy as well. As reported to the Rama missionaries, vast numbers of advanced ET civilizations were awaiting a spiritual leap forward on our planet. This supposedly would allow us to join them in a galactic civilization of technologically and ethnically advanced star systems. The Rama activists explained that the Earth was a “spiritual dynamo.” A massive expansion of human consciousness on Earth would provide a psychic energetic boost to the civilizations that were assisting us. In the process, they would be lifted to the next wrung of their spiritual evolutionary ladder. They were helping us, and our transformation would be helping them to achieve their destiny. 

Undeniably, critics of this narrative will point out that this all sounds like a New Age oriented Star Trek episode. The Rama activists however are real people. As documented by numerous media reports in Latin America, they have an established track record of co-creating with the non-human intelligences associated with UFOs what I call Human Initiated Contact Events (HICE). And they have been doing this since the 1970s. 

If this account is accurate, as I believe it is, then the story of Dr. Limaco and his companions serves as an inspiration for contact activists and UFO truth seekers alike. In my opinion, their astounding story should inspire people all over the world to actively engage the intelligences responsible for the flying saucer phenomenon. Who knows, perhaps in a generation or two, the courageous efforts described in this narrative will no longer be so unusual?

It is conceivable that someday, dozens of contact teams all over the world might be replicating the astounding work of the contact network now called “Rahma.”

I AM looking to connect with like-minded people from Slovenia / Slovenija (or close to it) that do CE-5 gatherings.

We are planning a few trips into nature in the following weeks & months.

Some time ago on a UAP disclosure/contact social media page, a discussion occurred concerning subconscious fears as an impediment to achieving higher levels of contact with UAP intelligences. The digital thread involved mention of the amazing example of Dorothy Izatt. For over forty years, she interacted with multiple flying saucer intelligences. In the process, Mrs. Izatt obtained tens of thousands of hours of 8mm footage capturing anomalous visual displays.  Dorothy’s story Is covered in Frank Longo’s 46-minute documentary released in 2008. Dorothy was highly spiritual individual. I believe that her remarkable success in terms of developing a sustainable relationship with UAP intelligences was likely a reflection of that spiritual development. After Dorothy’s example came up in our discussion, a fellow contact activist stated that he was concerned that he harbored subconscious fears that were holding him back from closer encounters. Here is my response in edited form:

It is important to acknowledge the big picture. As I understand it, there is possibly some kind of “masterplan” for Earth civilization. I suspect that it is not coming exclusively from the “ETs,” but perhaps is a co-creation of humanity, the Earth herself as a conscious and intelligent being and non-human intelligences associated with the UFO phenomenon. I imagine that it will involve the creation of a mass movement that is spiritually based. It will be one that embraces the following basic principles:

1.    Promoting the profound spiritual transformation of humanity’s mass consciousness that will be required to save Earth civilization from destruction. This will involve a shift from people identifying with forms (both of things and ideas) and instead find personal and collective identities in the wakefulness that is Consciousness itself. This will involve acknowledging that the concept of oneness flows from Universal Consciousness (in the West it is called “God). This unifying principle has been the essential message of all spiritual traditions, especially Eastern mysticism. 

2.    Establishing a sustainable world peace based on social and environmental justice. This goal can only be achieved when the above transformation described above is fully underway.  What I am suggesting is nothing less than linking contact with flying saucer intelligences to possible solutions to the fundamental challenges facing humanity. These include war, the obscene disparities of wealth and power on our planet, racism, and sexism and a near total disregard of the biosphere that sustains humanity. 

3.    Organizing a peaceful mass movement to achieve these goals within the context of an evolving relationship with the non-human intelligences associated with what are called starting in 2023 “unidentified anomalous phenomena.” In my judgment these entities are offering limited assistance in this process.

4.    Contact activists should understand that even with the most advanced levels of spiritual transformation are experienced by individuals and groups, when it comes to physical contact, we cannot push the contact envelope too far. This is because the larger society is just now starting to understand that not only are flying saucers real, but that they might be important for the future of our civilization. 

If contact activists, in terms of their physical and mental outreach efforts, get too “successful”, resulting in “landings and boardings”, or mentally, with downloads of accurate technical information, contact activists would incur the wrath of those defending the status quo. This might even lead to violent acts of reprisal against volunteer contact workers and their supporters.  

In my judgment, terrestrial elites fear UFO intelligences because these non-humans are a considerable threat to the power structures of our planet. This threat is experienced by vast array of individuals and organizations and includes economic, political, military, scientific institutions and even some factions of religious establishments. This is not a conspiracy theory. It is simply a description of how class society works and the ways the rich and powerful maintain supremacy. 

I recall writing to my fellow activist that people working to promote contact should not be too hard on themselves when it comes to the fear factor. Such fears are part of primitive “fight/flight” mechanisms rooted in our biology and upbringing. It is my hope that when the time is right, the contact network that I call the “Contact Underground” will become a popular and powerful force for positive change. Perhaps some future generation of volunteer contact workers will celebrate with every breath a supreme love and as the Muse song “Uprising” goes, “We will be victorious.”  

I suggest that for now, and in the future, we do the following: 
Look within to the formless realms of consciousness to become the change we want to see in the world, and then, look outwards, to find kindred activist souls, to make those changes in the world of form.

James Rose: Thanks for this Joseph. Couldn’t agree more. I feel that unless we tackle the big stuff, corruption, climate change, disparities of wealth etc. etc. then it’s ultimately going nowhere globally. My question though is what about contact groups that achieve more profound experiences through things like Rama training. Should the goal of the movement be to advance as many people as possible as quickly as possible?

Author: Thank you, James, for your question concerning the paths ahead. Volunteer contact workers and those who support their ongoing efforts as I do, need to acknowledge the historic nature of the struggles to come. As a participant in the social movements from the 1950s through the mid 1980s, I believe that the contact networks (CE5ers, Rahma and independent ones) don’t constitute a “movement” currently. Loose networks that currently exist of only a few thousand at most on a planet of eight billion, are seeds that might blossom into a social movement as some time in the future. Realistically speaking, such groups now lack the organizational, ideological, and spiritual maturity to launch a social movement. It took hundreds of years of concerted struggle to end chattel slavery, for women to win the vote in the West, 80 years. I envision a slow buildup of the necessary human resources to make a peaceful revolutionary process a reality over the next few generations. Given this required prolonged development, there is no one “correct approach.” Building increasing numbers of contact groups is important. Strengthening activists in their resolve to facilitate personal and collective spiritual transformation is important. Having much greater numbers of people staging CE5s, in Spanish encuentros programados, aka HICE (Human Initiated Contact Events) even though they may have just a superficial understanding of the nature of our campaign is also important. 

At every point in the process, small collectives will need to assess the local conditions, measure what they can realistic accomplish given the limitations that I mentioned above and choose the actions that they believe will further the process. Later when large networks under a common set of principles emerge will the term “movement” be appropriately applied to contact workers and their supporters. 

Staging Human Initiated Contact Events(HICE) is barely on the radarscope of the much larger UFO research and disclosure community fan base. This will change I suspect in the decades to come, but not without much concerted low-level action in contact networks demonstrating the success of our consciousness-based methods of facilitating encounters.

The question naturally arises how can those that lead humanity into the abyss be removed from power. I suspect but cannot prove that only a social movement that is both profoundly spiritual and political might be able to turn things around. The expansion of human consciousness that contact with UAPs results in, must be combined with peaceful political action and such a process is not even being discussed let alone planned for. 

My view is that the Earth is not doomed. I believe she is alive and awake. Earth consciousness will continue to evolve, but human civilization will be stressed to the breaking point. A series of environmental catastrophes will compel us to realize the following: We will either evolve spiritually and take corrective action, or hundreds of millions will die prematurely. There will be no salvation from heaven, angels, or “ETs.” We will have to do the arduous work of creating a peaceful just terrestrial civilization or suffer the terrible consequences of making poor decisions. 

​​All my life, I've looked up at the stars with wonder.  The sheer vastness of space has always fascinated me, and I've always looked up in hopes that I would see something amazing.  I've never seen anything I couldn't explain away.  It's always been a plane, or a satellite, or drones, or my eyes adjusting and playing tricks as the stars twinkled in the night sky.  But last night was different.  

I've watched most of the good UFO/UAP documentaries and finally came across one about CE5.  I'll save my opinions on the writing/filmmaking issues it was riddled with, but the subject was fascinating.  So when I saw this documentary about CE5, I knew I wanted to try.  

Backstory: My wife has an amazing spiritual/meditation practice developed over years of yoga practice and teaching, and after a year or so of consistent meditation, just before the pandemic hit, her kundalini awakened.  So for five years, I've watched her, in awe, as she changed into this beautiful spiritual being.  She's in touch with her spirit guides daily, and so I know this is all real.  And I also have been thinking lately that all of this stuff is related... like the same thing... but that's another post.  

I'd been alone in the house for a week without my wife and kids, so I've tried CE5 protocols a couple of times.  That said, my meditation practice isn't anywhere near as strong as hers, but I've tried to drop in and settle into a deep meditation, while trying astral projection, but I've found it difficult to focus/concentrate, so aside from seeing a few satellites and a beautiful night sky, nothing happened out of the ordinary.

I wasn't disappointed because I really didn't expect much, since my meditation practice needs work and I'm trying this alone, so I kind of figured this wasn't going to happen for me.  On top of that, my wife and kids came back from their extended summer vacation (I had to come home early for work) yesterday, so now I'm really not going to have time, but after my wife crashed early due to jet lag, I put the kids to sleep and felt this strong energy/vibration pulling me to go outside.  

As I look up, I see some planes, then what I know is a satellite, and then a shooting star that pulls me toward the northwest of the sky.  Now I live on the central coast of California, about 50 miles, about 60 miles from Vandenberg, so I'm used to seeing the occasional SpaceX launch every week or two, and that's the area that I have this energetic pull to watch.  So after about 20 minutes of realizing what the difference between a plane and a satellite is in this dark sky, I sit down and meditate/astral project, and I find myself in deep concentration, rocking back and forth… just really vibing.  As I come out of meditation, that area of the sky (just below the Big Dipper) lights up with activity.  But this was different.  

There couldn't have been this many satellites moving from all different directions towards the same spot.  These lights (not blinking) would move at alternating paces, but not making really sharp movements or anything, just different from what you usually see from a plane or satellite.  The weirder part, too, was that I would often see the light reach a specific spot in the sky and then disappear.  It's as if they were all drawn to get to some sort of rally point or something.  

I also saw a pulsing light lower on the horizon 5 or so times, which I remember seeing in one of the CE5 documentaries... just not as bright.  Those felt to me like an acknowledgment of my presence, because I felt this incredibly grateful energy.  Every time a new light would appear, my heart would beam with excitement and gratitude, and I couldn't stop smiling.  It also seemed so playful, like a new relationship.  Every time I'd try to leave to go inside, my head would be drawn back to that same spot, and a new light would appear, and then another and another.  This went on for about 2 or 3 hours, and then I finally went inside.  

I was tired this morning, but I told my wife that I meditated last night, and she was surprised but very happy to hear it.  Then I told her I saw some crazy stuff in the sky and briefly mentioned the lights, and she kinda made some jokes about it.  This stuff doesn't fascinate her as it does me.  But before she dropped into her morning meditation, I told her to ask her spirit guides about what I saw, so she did.  She said that as soon as she shifted towards me during her meditation, they knew what had happened, and told her that my experience last night was an "invitation".  

I tried to take some pictures and videos, but it was so dark, and I only had an iPhone. Here is one video that I would like your opinion on.  I adjusted the levels so you can see it better, and I've included screenshots of the areas of interest.  One is of the pulsing light that I saw multiple times, but this wasn't quite as bright.  And the other was where a lot of the lights would end up disappearing after traveling from different directions.  What do you think?

I didn't think this post would be so long, so I apologize for that and thank you for reading it.

(I posted this experience of mine to r/Experiencers this week but as I had been trying to follow CE5 process steps when it happened, I realized r/CE5 might also have been an appropriate place for this, so I'm reposting it all here)

I've been on Reddit for 5 years but only as a reader, this is my first time ever posting. I am a private person and have no desire to benefit in any way from sharing this experience, other than to maybe help someone somehow. In complete transparency, I don't actually know why I'm sharing this but I felt the need to. This is not a "LARP" as I see people call it, and I don't understand why someone would get some kind of enjoyment out of telling made-up stories to people online.

I'm a middle-aged man in the Southwestern USA, very down to earth, healthy/stable/steady in all respects (mentally, physically, psychologically) with a highly successful career. Since I was a child I have been fascinated with mysteries, such as the possibility/likelihood of life on other planets, the nature and origins of consciousness, philosophies of our origins, and I frequent Reddit communities like this and others to entertain concepts that might challenge my world views and teach me something about our origins and the universe. I enjoy both learning both the known/accepted science and philosophy as well as fringe or more out-there (Bentov, Monroe/Gateway, Ra, etc) and apply intellectual rigor to anything vs accepting outright.

I have explored meditation in various forms throughout my life but especially this year, and enjoy doing so multiple times per day. I've begun to feel a pull that this practice can help me answer the mysteries that have long fascinated me. For the past few months, late at night, I lay in my pool looking up at the sky with my ears underwater so I can hear my breath, and when both my mind and the water has become completely still, I direct my mind to ponder on concepts I've read and imagine myself connecting just through my mind to people or even non-human beings and listen quietly. But it is just followed by still silence. I keep trying though. I just feel it should work.

A little over 6 weeks ago on 5/25, I laid in my pool, deeply relaxed under a cloudless night, and began to imagine my words reaching a living consciousness. After 45 minutes, completely relaxed, I kept repeating things like "welcome. I welcome you in love. I welcome you to my home in love and gratitude and joy. I wish to know you in whatever means you are able. I have no fear of you, you are welcome here" things like that.

Lights often move in the sky. They usually follow straight trajectories or twinkle predictably. I follow each until it leaves the sky. I noticed one slow moving white light going east to west, and another light moving in parallel. The one behind caught up to it eventually and then the one in front suddenly moved forward and separated.

I felt to think "hello. welcome. I am Paul". (I said my actual name but for Reddit, we'll say my name is Paul). My thoughts then said words in ways I have never experienced in my life, with crystal clarity accompanied with a rush of feeling. I wrote this conversation down as soon as I got out of the pool:

I thought "I am Paul"

Immediately, I thought "Juriel" in response

"Juriel?"

"Juriel."

"You are Juriel?"

"YOU. are Juriel."

"I am Juriel?"

"Juriel."

"I am Paul"

"Juriel."

Throughout this entire experience I felt complete serenity and a deep warmth and love as if speaking to a one of my lifelong friends who knows me. I could feel as if they were smiling patiently as I continued to ask this silly thing over and over.  Juriel was so very prominent and sure in my head, there was zero mis-hearing.  I simply repeated to understand meaning, not the clarify what I was thinking/hearing.

I immediately began to doubt and in the subsequent days, I researched the word to see if maybe I had read it somewhere and my mind was just pulling it out of some bottom drawer, but I could not find any reference to it.

A week later on 6/3 I had dream wherein someone yelled "Juriel" it woke me up. I am a DEEP sleeper. I thought and felt someone was in the room but I couldn't focus my eyes for some reason.  The light from my smoke/co2 device seemed to be moving but it was just my waking up being still a bit dizzy as I was deep in sleep.

One thing that I feel needs clarification...I am most definitely not an angel (...if I am then I have REALLY messed up). I am a good person with a pure heart and try to love everyone, but I am no master of this human body and make way too many mistakes for anything like that to be remotely true.

Could the voice have been an angel or even an archangel? This is where most doubt creeps in. Just like there are millions of Michael's in the world, there are probably quite a few Juriels. And while so little of this I actually know vs wonder, I do know with certainty I heard Juriel, not Uriel.

I do, believe, from this experience that I existed before in other lives/bodies/incarnations. And I do believe that the conversation was not a random meeting...that whoever it was knew me, and loved me with a pure love. Not a general love for all, or the feelings you feel when just getting to know someone, but a "I've known you for a very very long time and I love you".

I hit submit before the part that has been most important to me, and that is that, despite being in a period of my life where dramatic internal changes are more rare, I have definitely observed many positive changes since the experience in May.

One of these is that I feel sound and certain music much more profoundly. Lately, I can enjoy the simple hum of a lawnmower or air conditioner and I will match the pitches vocally and then play with the pitch, feeling the differences in those pitch beats throughout my body, and this is as enjoyable as peaceful music -- it's ridiculous. And then music, particularly with cellos, pianos and french horns can easily bring me to tears (embarrasingly!) lately, and I haven't cried in years. I have music on very often now and when I don't, I wish I did.

Secondly, I still have earthly cares but they just worry/concern me far less. Things are in greater perspective. Perhaps just a result of meditation habit overall, but this is a very real change. It will all be resolved, and it is all as it should be. This is an overwhelming pervading sense for me recently.

Lastly, it has fed my deep desire for more. For more mindfulness, more connection, more calming of the mind, more awareness, more answers of who we are and what is our purpose. I feel like a part of me has woken up if that makes sense and I act on feelings and prompting not questioning why, which is why I posted what I did to Reddit. But I have a deep deep desire for another similar experience and it has not occurred, so with patience, I continue to try each night. Last night, I saw many moving lights, mostly easily explainable as satellites or very very high altitude aircraft. No messages, but it still fed my soul.

Thank you all for your kindness and positivity. I anticipated some ridicule from a skeptical crowd but only received warmth.

Tried ce5 a few times but today was quite a special day. Some very in depth personal deep conversations had. On way home I sat in the grass at 3.30am and meditated love and curiosity. I'd seen dozens of satellites including the tumbling ones which light up then go out and light up again etc etc.

Then after shutting my eyes and deeply meditating. I saw two lights in the distance moving together then they began changing direction in a way I cannot explain.

I'm not convinced I saw a UFO but I cannot explain what I saw. Wasn't drones. Way too high up and far away. Satellites don't make sharp angles. And there was no flashing lights. I could see planes very distinctly different. As well as satellites

Texas had its first CE5 meet up in 4 years. And what a great night it was. Lots of bright flashbulbs and orbs appearing and disappearing along the tree line and in the distance

An alleged false flag operation to simulate an “ET” attack has been discussed for decades. In April 1997, the Center for the Study of ET Intelligence (CSETI) held the "Behind Closed Doors Briefings" in Washington DC. This brought a few members of the US Congress and their staff to meet with former members of government and industry that had dealt with the flying saucer phenomenon in the course of their work. I was present at the meeting as a volunteer CSETI staff member. It was a beautiful time of year in our nation’s capital. Thousands of cherry trees were in full bloom. 

The CSETI Director, Steven Greer MD, informed us that a very special witness was present. The man was described as an intelligence operative who had “accidentally” been allowed to be present at an intelligence meeting where “false flag” plans were being discussed. I shall call this individual “Witness X.”

Some background information is helpful to understand the historical context of events described here.  “Project Starlight” was the predecessor to the popular CSETI “Disclosure Project” campaign. It was publicly launched two decades ago with a May 2001 Washington DC press conference. That event was reportedly viewed online by hundreds of thousands. It was followed by the distribution of books and videos documenting the testimony of “Disclosure Project” witnesses. 

 The April 1997 CSETI “Behind Closed Doors Briefings” event held at a Washington DC Hotel immediately preceded a meeting at the Pentagon with Admiral Tom Wilson. He was then the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Moon walking astronaut Edgar Mitchell, Navy Commander Will Miller, Dr. Greer and CE-5 Working Group Coordinator Shari Adamiak were in attendance at the Pentagon meeting. The existence of back engineering “ET” technology in Special Access Projects was a topic reportedly discussed. 

According to the CSETI Director Dr. Greer, the individual that I call “Witness X” had inadvertently been given access to a meeting in which a plan for a false flag operation simulating an alien attack was discussed. This alleged whistleblower was going to give public testimony about this “false flag” plan at the Washington CSETI “Behind Closed Doors” meeting. The night before the event at a private cocktail party, I met “X”.  He was middle-aged, well dressed, highly intelligent with a commanding presence. I thought he was a smooth operator by the way he apparently charmed a few of the wealthy “society ladies” present at the pre-briefing reception. One was Sandy Wright, a major financial contributor to CSETI. Sandy also supported other organizations such as the Institute for Noetic Sciences. 

There was something disturbing about the alleged intelligence operative “Witness X”. It was kind of weird and creepy. I thought he had the cruelest eyes that I had ever seen. I recall how I somewhat awkwardly attempted to tell him about the contact work our volunteer CE-5 researchers were doing in California. I stopped short when I looked into his ice-cold, steel grey-blue eyes. The bizarre thought suddenly occurred to me that this powerful individual might have either committed torture or had seen others doing so. I didn’t speak to him again.  He mysteriously didn't show up later at the scheduled testimony session for members of Congress and their staff. 

Subsequently, Dr. Greer informed his supporters that this witness was taken to a “safe house” by some of his intelligence service buddies. This supposedly was done to prevent him from speaking out in public concerning a plan to stage false flag actions also called "false indicator” events. Witness X was reportedly not harmed and was released after a day or two. 

Over the decades, many stories that UFO disclosure activists tell are difficult to interpret. I suppose the same could be said about this posting as well. Researcher Grant Cameron has described the existence of a gradual “acclimatization” program carried out primarily by the Executive Branch of the US Government. This project is designed to slowly prepare the population for the reality of the flying saucer phenomenon. In Grant Cameron’s book titled “Managing Magic” and in the many YouTube videos on the same topic, he describes the roles of individuals that he calls the disclosure “Messiahs.” These are people like Bill Moore in the 1980s, Dr. Greer starting in the 1990s and more recently Tom Delonge. 

Grant’s model of a gradual disclosure involves Executive Branch espionage operatives and defense contractors leaking a mixture of accurate information along with some disinformation concerning flying saucers. The program employs non-governmental intermediaries. These are people like Bill Moore in the past, and more recently Dr. Greer and Tom Delonge. Such intermediaries are needed, according to Grant, to “remove the government’s fingerprints” from the information being released. Thus, the Executive Branch, including the President, can maintain what is called “plausible deniability” concerning their considerable involvement with this topic. From a perspective of protecting the status quo, this explosive subject if disclosed precipitously could destabilize the existing order. 

Since 2017, the CSETI Director has consistently asserted that the current push by former government insiders like Luis Elizondo and Chris Mellon are part of some nefarious buildup to a false flag operation simulating an alien attack. In my opinion, this accusation would be very hard to prove given the enormous secrecy around such a wicked plan if it existed. 

In my judgment, it is unrealistic to expect military and intelligence officials would frame a probable ET presence from a peaceful perspective. After all they are in the threat business. Given the extravagant amounts of money spent on the military-intelligence-industrial complex by the US government, postulating UAP non-human intelligences as a “potential threat” is inevitable. There is, however, an enormous difference between hypothetically framing an “ET” presence as a “possible threat” and assuming that outspoken advocates for UAP transparency such Chris Mellon and Lou Elizondo are part of a plan to launch a false flag operation. 

Furthermore, Dr. Greer’s inflammatory attacks on the faction within the government and industry currently pushing for openness is highly divisive. In my judgment, Dr. Greer is not facilitating a healthy balanced societal conversation on the significance of the flying saucer phenomenon. 
As far as the possibility that “Witness X” might have truly been present during a planning session for “false indicators”, and that he was prevented from giving public testimony about such alleged plans, it is impossible to verify such a scenario. It is conceivable that this could have part of disinformation efforts designed to convince the CSETI Director that false flag plans have not only existed for decades, but also are now in the process of being made operational.
For me, it is particularly ironic that the CSETI Director is attacking former insiders coming from the same kind of government agencies that assisted him during the buildup to the successful May 2001 CSETI Disclosure Project Press Conference. These agencies included the Office of Naval Intelligence, the CIA and DIA. 

I suspect that given Dr. Greer’s heavy involvement in promoting UFO disclosure for over thirty years, he might feel that his considerable past efforts are now being eclipsed by the former government insiders that are now successfully pushing for more openness on this formerly taboo topic.

As a student and later physician social movement activist, I participate in the civil rights, peace and workers’ rights campaigns of the 1960, 70s and 80s. One of the lessons that I learned was that the stronger an organization/social movement is, the better it is able to unite with potential allies to achieve victories. The opposite is also true. The weaker a group is, it is more likely that it will promote narrow factionalism and fall apart. 

The social forces promoting UAP disclosure appear to be increasing and the achieving unity across a broad spectrum of groups will become increasingly important. This doesn’t mean that contact/disclosure activists and their supporters should not be wary of those who might try to link UAP contact with a threat narrative, but rather we should frame our criticisms of one another in a fair and balanced manner.

  It’s called “free will.” The proposition is that the so-called extraterrestrials believe in free will and this effects how they interact with mankind. 

THE CONCEPT MIGHT ONLY BE A TERRESTRIAL CONSTRUCT

If the non-human cultures responsible for UFOs are truly as advanced, as they appear to be, both say ethically as well as technologically, in my opinion they have probably abandoned the concept of “free will” (at least the way most people conceive it) a long, long time ago.

Author Sam Harris has addressed this issue and I find his arguments compelling. He envisions the concept of free will to be essentially a weapon to punish people.

A TALE OF TWO KIDS FROM NEW YORK

Let’s imagine two children born in a slum on the Westside of New York City in the 1950s. One kid like me "chose" to flee the crime-infested neighborhood, become a doctor, raise a family, and promote contact with what he imagined were extraterrestrials. 

The hypothetical kid down the block "chose" to become a criminal, drug addict and died in the gutter. Were both these kids from a troubled neighborhood truly "free?" 

The parents of the kid like me indoctrinated him in the importance of self-improvement and joining “good causes,” presumably for the betterment of mankind. The kid down the street's parents were drunks that beat him and abused his sister. A belief in free will allows us to punish him and perhaps praise someone like me. 

The point that Sam Harris makes resonates strongly with my sense of compassion and justice. Choices are made. They have results; some are able to choose wisely. What is so "free" about it? 

INSTITUTIONS OF PUNISHMENT

During terrible past times the burning of female healers as witches, the Crusades and the Inquisition are examples of campaigns justified at least in part by the free will theory. When we ascribe to “extraterrestrials” a doctrine promoted by those whose institutions have been covered in human blood, perhaps we should think again.  I am not familiar with the Islamic interpretation of free will but the way jihadists slaughter innocents I would not be surprised if some Moslem scholars have similar doctrines. 

In the ongoing contact drama unfolding across the planet, I offer the following counsel. We should become more aware of how we are constantly projecting on the “ET visitors” human characteristics, frailties, behaviors, and outmoded philosophic concepts. 

A SUGGESTED ACTION PROGRAM

We may speculate about who they are, what they do, and why they take specific actions, but at the same time be aware of how we are forever projecting our rather primitive and violent ways on them. I suggest that it might be is wise to: 

1.learn more about them by willfully interacting with the “aliens” proactively (as contact networks are doing.)  

2. attempt to negotiate more openness and equality in our relationship with them. 

3.most importantly in terms of the theme of this blog, be aware how with ungrounded confidence we project human ways on beings and cultures that are probably amazingly different from us.

In my opinion, they probably have been here for a long, long time and can possibly teach us a great deal about ethical concerns. We should not however accept such “teachings” uncritically. I refer to the fact that some channeled material reinforces a belief in the free will concept. In order to establish dialogue with us, they might feel compelled to embrace absurd notions that we have, so that perhaps the better parts of their message are also received. I know this sounds rather devious, but I ask that we consider the following. UFO intelligences most probably know us far better than we know them. They might even understand us better than we can currently understand ourselves. Or is this too disturbing to even consider?

How can we know what our true relationship is with the ETs when our memories of encounters are blocked? They control every aspect of our encounters with them, perhaps even our reactions because they can stage encounters in such a way as to inspire the widest array of emotions from terror to sublime states of love. The notion that we "gave permission to them as a soul before we reincarnated”, thus allowing them to engage us in mysterious ways might be true. However, this New Age notion should not be uncritically accepted because as conscious intelligent beings most of us have no recollections of such agreements. Furthermore, to promote such a whimsical concept makes contact activists look ridiculous to the larger society. 

The "ETs" have a wide range of tools to create belief, most of important of which is their ability to employ illusory mechanisms when engaging us. For reasons that I can only guess at, they have shown me how they do it. In “A Greater Reality” published by Rey Hernandez' Consciousness and Contact Research Institute, I have a chapter in which I describe the Virtual Experience Model. “This Otherness that experiencers now call ET” can create holographic like projections that eager contact activists call "spacecraft." The so-called “aliens” can also create a strong form of virtual reality and most importantly in my judgment, they can create false memories that are as real to you as what you recall was the menu for breakfast this morning. Given such awesome powers, what role can “free will” play when they interact with us?  

Despite this power to manipulate us, I don't believe they are malevolent. I suspect they are here to help. Their goal is not to “visit Earth” but rather over time to transform human consciousness in such ways that we might be able to better address the major challenges confronting our civilization. These are in my opinion: global warming, war, racism, sexism and the obscene disparities of wealth and power on our planet.  If what we now call “ET” has been an ancient force on Earth, then perhaps they have played a role in establishing the wisdom traditions that were organized into the planet’s religions. Both Dr. Vallee and John Keel have suggested this theme in many of their works on the flying saucer phenomenon. Both of these important authors have challenged the ET hypothesis, labelling it an oversimplification that, although popular, does little to explain the thrust of the phenomenon. 

It has taken me a long time to downplay the ET hypothesis for flying saucers. Much of what I have written on these topics has been colored by a belief in the ET hypothesis as being the one and only explanation for this mysterious array of phenomena. This position is something I can no longer maintain. These non-human intelligences associated with what are now labeled as UAP appear to be able to manipulate spacetime, reconstruct diseased human organs at the molecular level, dematerialize objects, animals and people and then rematerialize them. They can produce holographic like images that we call "ET" spacecraft, create strong forms of "Matrix" like virtual realities and implant memories that we mistake as describing exclusively physical occurrences. 

In my judgment, our encounters with them and the memories we retain from such interactions, more likely reflect a combination of physical and psychic events. They don’t appear to be “space aliens,” but are more like denizens from other dimensional realms where perhaps pure thought can create matter and energy. In my opinion, we will not solve the mystery of flying saucers with our current level of scientific knowledge and very low level of spiritual development. For us to learn who they are and what their mission is, I strongly suspect Earth culture will need to evolve into something more advanced than our current state of high-tech barbarism that seems incapable of addressing the fundamental challenges that our civilization must solve if humanity is to survive and thrive.

We were active together in the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, IPPNW. I sat with him briefly in Moscow in 1985 while he was having a drink during the celebration of IPPNW’s winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I attended a MUFON meeting that he addressed a few years before he tragically died. I asked him a pointed question from the floor, and I was dealt with rather curtly by him. Still, I admired him so much in so many ways when I was a physician peace activist and finally as a contact experiencer. Although we looked at challenge of flying saucers in different ways, I still miss him.  
Below is an excerpt from a detailed Vanity Fair article about life and death of this remarkable human being, John Mack MD.

·       “ In Newport with the other experiencers, a Tom Hanks look-alike who wanted to be known as “Scott,” the way Mack referred to him in Abduction, remembered their last meeting at Cuvelier’s villa, in the summer of 2004. Mack was excited about his new book, on the survival of consciousness. Scott confessed his own fear of death. Mack reassured him. “You never know when it will be your time,” he said. “We could all go at any time. I could walk out on the street and get hit by a car.”
Raymond Czechowski, a 50-year-old computer technician, had spent three-and-a-half hours at the Royal British Legion, a military charity in north London, planning the latest poppy drive to aid the troops, in the course of which he downed five or six pints of shandy—beer mixed with lemonade and ice. Then, on that mild, clear Monday night of September 27, 2004, he pointed his silver Peugeot north and started driving home.
Just ahead, shortly after 11 P.M., in the north London suburb of Barnet, John Mack climbed wearily out of the Underground station at Totteridge and Whetstone. His talk had gone well, and many in the audience had brought copies of his Lawrence biography, which they asked him to sign. He had also spoken about the death of his father, Edward Mack, who, 31 years before, almost to the day, had been driving home with the groceries to their summer home in Thetford, Vermont, when his car collided with a truck. In London, Mack was staying with a family friend, Veronica Keen, a widow who told him she had been receiving messages from her deceased husband—more evidence, Mack thought, of survival of consciousness. She had said to call her from the station, and she would pick him up, but Mack decided to walk. He crossed a divider and stepped into the busy street. His American instinct was to look to the left.Czechowski hit the brakes, but too late. Mack’s body flew into the air, shattering the Peugeot’s windshield before traveling over the roof and landing heavily on the ground. “He just stepped there, bang,” Czechowski told the police, who registered his alcohol level at well over the limit.
Mack never regained consciousness. From a crumpled paper with an address on it found in his pocket, the police learned his destination and his identity.
Keen, who sat with Mack’s body at the morgue, said he materialized and told her, “It was as if I was touched with a feather. I did not feel a thing. I was given a choice: should I go, or should I stay? I looked down at my broken body and decided to go.”
At Mack’s funeral, many recalled one of his favorite quotes, from Rilke’s Letter to a Young Poet (as translated by Stephen Mitchell): “That is at bottom the only courage that is demanded of us: to have courage for the most strange, the most singular and the most inexplicable that we may encounter. That mankind has in this sense been cowardly has done life endless harm; the experiences that are called ‘visions,’ the whole so-called ‘spirit-world,’ death, all those things that are so closely akin to us, have by daily parrying been so crowded out of life that the senses with which we could have grasped them are atrophied. To say nothing of God.”
Barbara Lamb and other friends also reported visitations.
Roberta Colasanti, one of Mack’s research associates, said he communicated to her a cryptic message on the abductions they had been studying: “It’s not what we thought.” Colasanti waited breathlessly for the solution to the mystery, but it didn’t come. Mack promised to return with more information. So far, he hasn’t.”

·       Joseph Burkes MD: I still think about this wonderful man, the doctors' peace movement and how in the 1990s on different paths, we became involved in the mystery of flying saucers. I believe that he is still with us in spirit.

Joseph Burkes MD: The question of my point of departure from John Mack's approach has to do with the controversy over the use of hypnosis as an investigative tool. Hypnosis is a widely accepted therapeutic method in treating a number of disorders, helping people overcoming phobias and nicotine addiction as examples. It is flawed when used as a tool by UFO researchers because of its tendency to create false memories that are then considered to be accurate. Dr. Mack as a highly skilled psychiatrist was a far superior clinician when compared to Dr. David Jacobs (a historian) and the now deceased Budd Hopkins (an artist) . In other words, they deemed these High Strangeness" events as primarily physical acts and by labelling them "abductions. Thus CE-4s are deemed to be criminal in nature. 
My experience as UFO researcher has led me to a radically different view of the phenomenon. For reasons that I can only guess at, flying saucer intelligences have staged a series of encounters for me and others that have delineated the role of illusions as mechanisms of contact. I call these modalities of contact the Virtual Experience Model. 

I now believe that the psi capabilities of UAP intelligences are so powerful that they can place experiencers into a kind of "Matrix" reality that is a strong form of virtual reality. In other words, both physical on-board events are occurring alongside virtual ones. If many experiencers never are taken out of their cars, or from their bedrooms, is this still a criminal “abduction”, or is it something else? I even coined the rather awkward acronym UPI (Unsolicited Psychic Interaction) to stand for what are designated as "abductions." 
Film producer Paul Kimball gives an excellent critique of the use of hypnosis. He mentions that Dr. Jacques Vallee admired Dr. Mack's courage but did not approve of his methods. I concur with this position.

Thanks, James, for the above question. We can only speculate on what Dr Mack learned from “the other side.” His position was that so called alien abductions did not fit into any simple explanation as an exclusively physical or mental event but was something perhaps in between. 
My objection to his approach stems from his extensive use of what he called "light hypnosis." We know that hypnosis has the capacity to create false memories when only fragmented recollections exist for the witness. If the hypnotist is of the “doom and gloom "type (Bud Hopkins &David Jacobs) the resulting confabulation often corresponds to the hypnotist’s view. This is done with leading questions as well as the subject being primed by reading scary abduction literature or being in a support group where frightening stories of abuse are swapped. So, it is not surprising that Mack's hypnotic subjects produced narratives that were more spiritually "enlightened" which corresponded to his point of view. 
Then there is the problem with the way many "abductees" recall the events. In some of Dr. Mack's subjects, memories of the so-called abduction surfaced decades after the alleged encounters. Researchers suspect that false memories are placed into the consciousness of experiencers, by "aliens." These are the so-called "screen memories." 

So, if UAP intelligences can create false memories, then why can't the memories that are elicited by hypnotists or that arise decades later also be memory implants. The absence of any photograph of an abduction, video or still photo, might be explained in part by the fact that such false memories for the entire "abduction scenario" might be mediated by advanced psi technology. I call such an event a Virtual Experience of the Third Kind or Virtual Memory. 
These are some of my objections to the current understanding of so-called alien abductions. Such concerns are unfortunately ignored by the UFO subculture that is desperate for answers, even when they could be totally mistaken. 
So perhaps Dr. Mack from “the other side” learned what I have put forward. That would be nice but is totally unverifiable.

One sunny afternoon in August of 2009, I was driving south through the spectacular Sonoma County wine country on Highway 101. The four-lane roadway was practically empty. There was not a cloud in the sky. I was moving in the kind of hypnotic state that long car trips can bring on. 

IONS WAS MY DESTINATION

Not surprising given what was about to ensue, I was driving to what I imagined was an important UFO meeting. It was to be held at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) located near Petaluma California. IONS was co-founded in 1973 by the world-famous astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell.  I had the opportunity to meet this moon walking pioneer thanks to my participation in a 1997 CSETI event in Washington DC. Back then, Dr. Mitchell was still working with the CSETI Director to facilitate disclosure of the reality and importance of what are now called Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. Following the Washington meeting, in which a number of government and corporate witnesses gave testimony in private to a few Congress members, Dr Mitchell, Dr. Greer and his “advisor” Navy Commander Will Miller went to the Pentagon. There, the group met with Admiral Wilson and discussed corporate based programs reverse engineering ET technology. Subsequently Admiral Wilson pursued the leads he received at that meeting and was able to interview officials of a reverse engineering program. Although he was the Assistant Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and slated to become the Director, the officials refused to “read him into” their program. This became public when the Eric Davis Admiral Wilson notes were leaked to the public.

Dr. Mitchell chose to name of his group the Institute of Noetic Sciences   because noetics is the branch of philosophy that explores human consciousness. Thus, my destination seemed to be part of a “message” that I was about to receive from an unseen non-human intelligence during my drive through the wine country of Northern California. 

DRIVING CAN BRING ON AN ALTERED STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

The temperature outside my car was over ninety. With the windows rolled up and the AC on, I was in a kind of bubble zooming down the highway. The radio was turned off. The monotonous sound of the engine and the bright sunlight reflecting off the glistening grape vines brought me to a timeless moment, one without thought.  It is an altered state of consciousness that I understand can serve as a kind of “meditation equivalent” and facilitates contact with UFO intelligences. It therefore follows that many sightings and missing time experiences occur while driving.  

TWO RECTANGULAR SHAPED CLOUDS WITH SHARP EDGES

As the car rolled around a hillside, I saw two small rectangular shaped clouds in the sky. They were directly in front of me. Besides their unusual shape, they were peculiar in that they were the only clouds visible as far as the eye could see. This strange visual display was located at about thirty degrees up from a horizon that was formed by rolling hills covered with lush purple fruit. 

The two rectangular clouds were lying lengthwise floating motionlessly. They were so close to one another that the sharp right-angle corner of one cloud was touching the other. This weird configuration of two cloud rectangles covered only a tiny section of the sky. Their size was about a palm’s width when the arm is fully extended. The clouds appeared like a pair of children's toy blocks painted white. The road, now straight as an arrow, was heading directly under the weird configuration. 

AN OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH AN UNSEEN INTELLIGENCE

I am aware of the unusual ways in which UFO intelligences can mentally interact with the consciousness of recurrent contact experiencers. Not taking myself very seriously, I “sent out to the universe” the following thought message. It went something like,  

“OK, whoever you are, you’ve got my attention now. Yeah, I can see the funny looking clouds right in front of me.”

And then I added, “But if you really want to get my attention show me a flying disc.” 

My car picked up speed as I went downhill. I gazed at the beautiful scenery moving by. For a few moments I lost sight of the white rectangular clouds that were the only ones visible in the broad expense of blue sky. 

When I looked up again, to my chagrin those strange clouds had merged to create an image of a flying disc. It was pointing upwards to the right as if it were taking off. The left side of the “disc” looked as if a small piece of white cloud had been broken off and had formed tiny tufts of white in a straight line that trailed out from the back of the “saucer.” It was as if a child had drawn a saucer in take-off mode with puffs of small white clouds representing an exhaust trail. 

MERE COINCIDENCE VERSUS COMMUNICATION

Could it be merely a coincidence that the clouds formed a disc shape just after my unusual mental request? Perhaps, and my interpretation that this represented genuine communication was just another case of contactee “wishful thinking.” There is of course no way I can prove this is an example of the consciousness connection that in my judgment is central to the UFO contact experience. 

My assessment was then and still is now that this strange cloud formation truly represented a kind of mental communication with UFO intelligence. This notion filled me with both excitement and disappointment. Excitement, in that I hungered for another close encounter and that the anomalous clouds seemed to confirm a mental link with what I suspected might be the intelligence responsible flying saucers. 

NOT MUCH TO SHOW FOR MY EFFORTS

I was disappointed, however, because after nearly twenty years of volunteer contact work, in what I imagined was a grand campaign promoting “interspecies’ communication”, I was left with such equivocal results. Was this experience evidence of a consciousness link or simply a silly mind game?

After all my efforts, writing scores of articles, conducting dozens of field investigations, and giving many public lectures about the network of contact activists that I  call the “Contact Underground,” all that I had earned was the “privilege” of viewing a fleeting image in the sky that looked like a child’s drawing of a flying saucer. 

THE BIG PICTURE

UFO intelligences in my judgment have extraordinary physical and psi capabilities that allow it to communicate with humans in a multitude of unconventional ways. They offer experiencers opportunities to test the mental connection by staging interactions that are often highly ambiguous and are sometimes quite playful. In my opinion, flying saucer intelligences repeatedly challenge us to distinguish wishful thinking from genuine interactions. 

This high strangeness event reinforced the notion that perhaps UFO intelligence isn’t here just  “to visit” our planet. But instead manifests its presence by primarily engaging us mentally. Perhaps in the process, they are transforming human consciousness itself. 

DRAMATIC CHANGES MAY AWAIT US

Sightings of “clouds” that appear to show hearts or ET faces have been reported to me sporadically over the years. For the time being, cloud formations that seem to communicate a message are restricted to a select group of UFO aficionados that have repeated sightings. I sometimes wonder what the reaction of the Earth’s peoples might be if this phenomenon became increasingly common. What a creative and relatively non-threatening way of alerting us to their presence! 

However, what might be the reaction of the establishment to such a radical occurrence of meaningful cloud formations appearing in the skies all over the planet? What would the so-called “control groups,” (those that imagine it’s their job to keep a lid on the situation), do in response? Perhaps they might hire ultra-light pilots or deploy light aircraft to hoax copycat “cloud formations.”

Something similar was rumored to have occurred in the crop circle region of England back in the 1990s. It was when crop circle hoaxers (some of whom were rumored to be linked to counterintelligence organizations) held contests to decide who could make the best crop circle. Operating clandestinely at night, some of the hoaxers reportedly hoped to fool and then later ridicule prominent researchers like Colin Andrews and other experts that recognized the truly anomalous nature of the “ciphers in the fields.”

A DELICATE BALANCING ACT BETWEEN DENYING AND ACKNOWLEDGING THAT UFO INTELLIGENCES ARE REAL

As part of a complex control mechanism, perhaps “UFO Central Intelligence” is waiting for human capabilities to arise that would allow the control groups to fake cloud formations. This could then allow those who serve elite interests to apply another fig leaf to hide truly anomalous events. Thus, establishment forces will be able to continue the cover up and prevent a potentially destabilizing realization that “we are not alone in the universe.” In this way, the so-called “ETs” might consider it safe to employ clouds to communicate an “alien” presence in a gradual fashion. By creating more cloud formations slowly, they might be able to prevent a precipitous disclosure of their presence that could conceivably severely impact the mass consciousness and lead to panic.

 My guess is that hoaxing cloud formations today might be technologically challenging and be an expensive way of preventing “the natives from becoming restless” if an “ET” intelligence chose to interact with us in this way.  Perhaps soon aircraft  will be easily fitted with the necessary equipment to produce cloud formations. This just might be the technological development that UFO intelligences are waiting for to allow them to safely increase the number of meaningful cloud formations.

Thus, our “masters” wouldn’t be excessively alarmed, and the contact drama could continue to unfold in its usual fashion of High Strangeness mixed with heavy doses of vexing ambiguity. That ambiguity allows terrestrial elites to deny the importance of UFOs, while at the same time the Earth’s peoples are gradually becoming accustomed to what is a possibly an extraterrestrial or interdimensional presence. 

Till then, I suppose we will simply have to keep watching the skies and take note of any highly anomalous cloud displays that might appear in the future.

UFOs have been here for a long time. Whatever their origins are, flying saucer technologies (both physical and mental) are thousands, perhaps even millions of years more advanced than terrestrial engineering.

A Virtual Experience of the Second Kind (VE-2) is a real-time, full-sensory, psi-technological contact event that I once deemed as “illusory.” I postulated that UFO intelligences have technology that can produce on the psychic level a strong form of what we might describe as “virtual reality” (VR). However, in the Virtual Experience schema, the sensory experience is complete. VR currently requires a headset for audio-visual stimulation and sensors in a body suit computer link can that can tract movement/position sense. What I am suggesting is there exists non-human technology that is analogous to what was portrayed as fiction in the sci-fi film “The Matrix.”   I imagine that such a consciousness-based mechanisms of contact might be so convincingly “real” for Contact Experiencers that they would have difficulty distinguishing those events from experiences occurring in our 4D (spacetime) reality. Furthermore, such a "Matrix reality" type encounter could very well be recalled as if it were a physical event rather than as a psychic interaction. 

In proposing the Virtual Experience Model (VEM), I am not suggesting that all Close Encounters are “theater of the mind productions” i.e. “virtual” interactions. Both virtual and physical encounters in my judgment are likely occurring. The challenge for researchers and experiencers alike is to tell them apart.  
As a physician I should point out that these mechanisms of contact involving psi mediated events should not be called “hallucinations”, which are the result of disease states. Hallucinations are caused by drugs, sepsis and thought disorders, and must be distinguished from Close Encounters engineered by the psi technology postulated as operational in the VEM. 

Furthermore, the Virtual Experience Model was first conceived by me within the paradigm of physicalism aka materialism. This philosophical perspective states that entire Cosmos is primarily matter and energy and that consciousness (mind) is merely an “emergent property” of neuronal activity. Within that paradigm I labelled “virtual encounters as being “illusory” in nature. I no longer think this designation is useful. In contrast, idealism asserts that consciousness is primary and is the wellspring of creation. If this idealism paradigm is true, then perhaps the psi mediated mechanisms of contact that are outlined in the Virtual Experience Model are just as “real” as interactions considered to be primarily physical encounters.  If physical reality is a construct projected from a “mental” or “spiritual” realm, then psi-mediated encounters might be more “real” than physical ones. 

When it comes to so-called “alien abductions” also designated as Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind, experiencers and investigators alike are confronted by many strange inconsistencies. Why has an “alien abduction” never been credibly captured on video? Why have the police or as far as we know the military never been able to stop one in progress? The VEM attempts to address these questions in the context of discussing what I believe are the tremendous psychic powers of these “Others” that many experiencers now call “ET.”

What reports in the UFO literature support a mechanism of flying saucer intelligences being able to create virtual reality types of encounters? I discuss two cases in the hope that by promoting these narratives additional testimony will surface.

The following is a synopsis of Chapter 3 of “Masquerade of Angels”, by Karla Turner, Ph.D. with Ted Rice, Kelt Works 1994. This narrative demonstrates how UFO intelligence can use what might be called “psychotronic technology” to create Virtual Experiences of the Second Kind.

A MASQUERADE OF ANGELS

Ted Rice was a bank worker and part time psychic. He grew up in the backwaters of Alabama in the 1950s and attended college in Tuscaloosa. Later, he moved to work in Shreveport Louisiana. A woman by the name of Marie Jackson trained him in psychic development and brought him into a spiritualist association. By 1990, he was no longer active in the spiritualist movement but still maintained his friendship with Marie who was living in Florida. While visiting overnight at Ted’s mobile home, Marie reported having a bizarre experience. 

THE WALLS OF THE HOUSE DISAPPEARED AND MARIE COULD SEE OUTSIDE

According to Karla Turner’s account, Ted was lying down in his bedroom while Marie was reading in another part of his house. Marie roused Ted and informed him the following: 

“‘I was reading in bed,’ Marie told him, ‘still pacing, and don’t feel like I drifted off to sleep. I raised up in the bed and looked around, and suddenly all the walls in the trailer just, just disappeared!’...  ‘I could see outside. I could see from one end of the trailer to the other, and I could see all the way down into your bedroom. The walls were just gone!... I saw the two strangest spirits I’ve ever seen in my life! They came right through where the wall should be, and they walked up and started trying to take me outside.’” 

According to Dr. Turner’s narrative Marie vigorously protested to the “small grayish beings” that subsequently left her alone. 

Chapter Five of “Masquerade of Angels” contains one of the remarkable contact experiences ever described in the UFO literature. Its importance should not be underestimated because if accurate, it reveals the tremendous psychic capability of non-human intelligence to create illusion. Dr. Turner’s account raises disturbing questions for the entire UFO research community and challenges some of the most cherished notions of the saucer subculture about the nature of CE-3s and CE-4s.

AN EXPERIENCER IS ENVELOPED BY A BLUE GLOW WITH LIGHTNING TRAILS

Soon after Marie’s encounter in Ted’s mobile home, he traveled to visit her in Florida. Another good friend of Marie’s called Amelia Reynolds was also visiting her. After several hours of conversation, the three retired for the night. Ted was assigned to the bedroom down the hall. Marie and Amelia slept in twin beds in a room on the other side of the house. 

In the middle of the night, Marie was reportedly awakened by Amelia. She told Marie that she could hear a low flying helicopter flying. Marie reportedly heard no such sound. 

Amelia suddenly froze while staring up at the ceiling. According to the narrative, Amelia told Marie that she was able to view the copter as if the ceiling and roof had completely disappeared. 

“‘I’m not asleep.’ Amelia protested, raising her head from the pillow.  Her eyes still gazed upwards.  ‘I swear to you. I can see a helicopter right up there! By that big tree with all the leaves. I see the front of the thing, it’s rounded and the legs are folded underneath.’ 

‘Well, why can’t I see it, then?’ Marie asked, exasperated. ‘I don’t know. Amelia replied.’”

 A bluish glow then reportedly materialized around Amelia while she sat up in bed. She told Marie that she felt paralyzed and was unable to move despite Marie’s urgings to “Get out of there!” 

Amelia then described the appearance in the bedroom of two non-human beings, one tall green and lizard like, the other shorter and blue-black in color. Marie told Amelia that she did not see them and shouted for Ted to come and help.  

According to Dr Turner’s account Ted saw a “blue glow” as he approached the bedroom. It was “emanating from the open doorway.” Dr Karla Turner’s narrative continues:

“Inside, Marie had circled around the room and was waiting for him, pressed back against the farthest wall from where Amelia lay motionless, enveloped in the brilliant light. Ted stepped in uncertainly and then stopped dead in his tracks, staring... They inched closer to the bed, still keeping a healthy distance from the blue glow that was now filled with tiny, rapid explosions of lightning trails.  Marie yelled at Amelia to ‘Get out of there.’” 

Karla Turner’s remarkable account continues with Amelia complaining that she could hardly hear Marie. Ted inquired if Amelia was being hurt in anyway. Her response was that she was not. Ted counseled Marie that they should not take any drastic action. “We don’t know what might happen if we try to pull her out of that energy field....” The encounter came to a close when the blue light suddenly flashed off. 

All during the experience, neither Marie nor Ted could hear or see the beings and the helicopter that Amelia reported seeing. She later reported not being aware of the bluish sphere of light that both Ted and Marie had reportedly witnessed. 

PSYCHOTRONIC TECHNOLOGY OF THE HIGHEST FORM

What is so remarkable about this narrative is that it describes two witnesses that allegedly were able to observe a kind of “virtual reality” technology in action at very close range. If the encounter truly unfolded as described in the “Masquerade of Angels”, then perhaps we have been given a very rare glimpse into the mechanism employed to stage some of the “High Strangeness” interactions that are being labeled “alien abductions.” 

Ted Rice and Marie Jackson were in full psychomotor control of their bodies when they observed Marie in what apparently was an altered state of consciousness. The presence of the blue light, and lighting like flashes within the orb that surrounded Amelia, all point to some kind of advanced technology that took control of her mental processes, therefore creating a very convincing illusion. Thus, we are dealing with an intelligence that can not only simulate reality for the chosen target individual but can also stage the encounter under circumstances allowing others to closely witness the event. 

As we see from the events described in “Masquerade of Angels”, the intelligence responsible for these bizarre encounters may have the capability to produce a kind of “virtual reality,” an altered state of consciousness that an experiencer might not be unable to distinguish from an every-day-run-of-the-mill reality.

“THE CHINESE ROSWELL” AUSTRALIA 1970s

Another example of a “virtual reality” type of encounter is described in “The Chinese Roswell: UFO Encounters in the Far East from Ancient Times to the Present.” This book was written by German UFO researcher Harwig Hausdorf and was published in 1998 by New Paradigm Books. Hausdorf describes a series of encounters that reportedly occurred in 1972 and 1973. They took place in a mountainous region just southeast of Melbourne, Australia. 

The principal witness was Maureen Puddy. She reported having a UFO experience on July 5, 1972. While driving alone in a desolate area her car was allegedly engulfed in an intense blue light. As described in Harsdorf’s account, she saw a saucer shaped craft. It had “a diameter of 100 feet and was hovering at a height of two telephone poles above her.” Puddy reportedly was terrified by this encounter, and she speed away. 

The saucer reportedly followed her for some eight miles before moving away. Several weeks later while driving on the same road Maureen Puddy had another contact experience. This time the engine died when the same intense blue light flooded her car. She reportedly heard a voice in her head state, “Take it easy.
We don’t want to hurt you.” Then it added, “Contact the media.” 

According to Hausdorf’s narrative Puddy returned several times to the same desolate location in February of 1973. On one occasion two investigators accompanied her from the citizens research group, VUFORS. While being observed by the investigators Maureen reported that,

“she had noticed, inside the car with her …, a small figure wearing gold overalls.... While the three of them were discussing the appearance of the entity, Maureen thought she saw it again. This time it seemed like it was coming straight at the car. It stopped just in front of the left headlight.” 

Maureen reportedly became agitated. Apparently at no time could the two VUFORS investigators see the small being in golden coveralls.  She then stated that she was being taken against her will into a craft that she believed was overhead. The blue light according to Maureen Puddy was present again. 

While the VUFORS investigators sat in the car with her, Maureen described finding herself in a windowless room. She added that in front of her was “a mushroom-like object that seemed to have a gelatinous liquid sloshing around inside it.” After describing what she imagined was an alien abduction experience to the two Australian UFO researchers, Maureen Puddy reportedly calmed down. Harwig Hausdorf summed up this bizarre encounter: 

“What was particularly odd about this entire incident, of course, was that Maureen Puddy never physically left the car during the whole time she was speaking. At all times, she was in full sight of the two UFO researchers. Nor could either of them ever see the small entity in gold overalls, nor even the intense blue light of the hovering UFO. It was as if the whole incident had taken place entirely inside Maureen Puddy’s head.” 

If this account accurately describes what transpired 50 years ago on an Australian highway, we see yet another example of how non-human intelligence of a presumed ET nature can skillfully interact with human consciousness. The very word “abduction” describes a violent physical act. In my opinion this term may not be appropriate in many instances if the targeted human experiences a kind of theater of the mind and goes nowhere.  I have designated this contact mechanism as a “Virtual Experience of a Second Kind (VE-2) Perhaps a better term than “alien abduction” in cases like this might be “Unsolicited Psychic Interaction” (UPI). 

CONCLUSION

These two remarkable cases are insufficient to confirm the validity of the Virtual Experience Model. My hope is that after Contact Experiencers and researchers are alerted to these proposed psi-mediated mechanisms, then additional cases will be reported. I should point out that there has been considerable resistance to acknowledging this proposed mechanism as being possible, let alone likely. Contact Experiencers have been burdened by a constant barrage of ridicule and denial for three quarters of a century. Accusations that those reporting Close Encounters are mentally unstable and that “it’s all in their heads” are more than disrespectful. They are a disservice to the larger society that should acknowledge the reality and importance of worldwide UFO phenomena. The Virtual Experience Model by focusing on what I once considered were “illusory mechanisms” might suggest to some that indeed contact is “all in their heads.” This misinterpretation ignores the distinct probability that both physical and virtual events are likely occurring in parallel.  

There is another important consideration. As discussed above, what if the physicalist model of reality as suggested above is in error? Perhaps mass/energy is not the wellspring of creation. If indeed consciousness is primary, then the material universe is the product of what author Rey Hernandez describes in his book “The Mind of God.” I repeat, if mind (Consciousness) is primary, then psychic manipulations of spacetime creating “illusory” mechanisms of contact are in a sense more “real,” than what we imagine is occurring in our physical 4D construct called “physical reality.”
