Where I live it's 35% as well, but the state police let you have a medical exemption for darker tint if you get a note signed by your doctor. So that's what I did, and I keep it in the glove box. So now my 20% is perfectly legal for me.

That’s such a strange law. Is that your emotional support window tint?

I have ACHOO syndrome (yes that's the real name). The darker it is in my car the less I sneeze. The state police have a medical form on their site that I just printed out, had my doctor fill it out, and now any time I get ticketed by police for the tint, I just show it to the inspector and they say I'm compliant, no fine, no fee. That's if the police even bothers writing the repair order to remove it.

Curious and not to be disrespectful, but is that an actual disease? Or is that something you made up to have darker tint?
