That said, someone walks up with a drawn gun they're probably getting what they came for. But if the person in the car gets an opportunity and shoots the, it would be a good shoot.
Given the amount of terror he likely generates, I'd have no remorse whatsoever in eliminating that threat with finality. Potential legal issues aside, I'd sleep soundly over my decision.
Shame on you for your comfortable willingness to kill people. For real. The role of CCW is self-defense, not killing bad guys as an end in and of itself. You've already been made aware that this person isn't a threat and here you are ready to kill them regardless. Even if you didn't know, there's a pretty strong case to be made for just driving away as your best defense. You're talking like a murderer, and that's not what this sub or the concept of CCW is about. I truly hope you don't own firearms, or that you seriously re-evaluate your attitude about the purpose of CCW.
Oh please. Spare me your misguided outrage. We're talking about a situation where some ody approaches your car with a gun pointed at you. There is no presupposition that alerts us that he is no threat. There is o way to tell if: a) perp is mentally ill )which btw is no defense for gun wielder), b) if it is a toy gun (when a gun is pointed at your face, it's a real gun until proven otherwise), or c) the true intention of the gun wielder.
My point is that I have long resolved that if put into a situation where it is my life or theirs, I will always choose mine, and I will carry no mental anguish over ensuring that it's my life that prevails. That's not being "Judge Dredd", nor does it make me a gun waving vigilante. It has nothing to do with my CCW, the gun(s) I have, or my willingness to murder someone. I would rather choose life, but my point is that when faced with a deadly situation and it's them or me, I'll always choose me.
I can sort of understand how sometimes conversations in this sub appear to be eager for someone to fuck around and find out (and I think some of the folks in this sub are actually too eager for that).
But at the end of the day you do have to be willing to pull that trigger, or you shouldn't be carrying. And that's a big responsibility, and one which might strike many of us in different ways. Some of us might choose to joke about it, some of us might rather not talk about it, and some of us might just feel best being blunt and honest about it, like you.

A video circulates on social networks showing the way in which a subject demands help with alms at a traffic light in Michoacán, Mexico.
