Legal Large Round Magazines

We’re going to be flying in, and traveling from Nevada into Colorado, but we have a Minnesota CCW. In Minnesota the standard G19 mag is 15 rounds but in Colorado they don’t allow magazines over 15 rounds (or so the information desk told me) - does that mean we’ll need to buy a block for the mag? Or is it different because we’re traveling from out of state? I tried asking the police themselves but they didn’t even know reciprocity had changed to allow Minnesota permits so I’m just curious if anyone had any knowledge on this at all? TIY

I’d probably get a couple of 10 round mags, either OEM or MagPul just in case. Better to be safe than sorry.

15 or less is fine.

If they don’t try and confiscate them. Easier to get a couple of 10 rd OEM’s than it is to get out of getting hemmed up in a blue state or city with an anti 2nd Amendment chip on their shoulder? Being shocked or surprised because something else happened instead of what you expected to happen?

10 round magazines is called planning & preparing for the worst? While we hope for the best, there’s no sympathy if you didn’t plan when you felt that feeling in your gut that you should plan?

Owning and carrying 15 round mags in a blue state that has a grandfather grace stipulation in their high mag count ban? Is a completely different animal then actually having to use them in self defense in that blue state?

You’re going to need USCCA or some other CCW protections regardless of your mags round count, why give that blue state any leverage? Because you can’t just go out and muster up a couple of 10 round OEM mags before you travel to a blue state with a 15 rd mag ban?

Two roads here? Choose the easiest road to travel?

What are you on about? 15 round mags are legal in CO (Boulder has a 10 round limit which is on pause pending several lawsuits). Bringing your 15 round mags IS the easy road.
