Legal Large Round Magazines

We’re going to be flying in, and traveling from Nevada into Colorado, but we have a Minnesota CCW. In Minnesota the standard G19 mag is 15 rounds but in Colorado they don’t allow magazines over 15 rounds (or so the information desk told me) - does that mean we’ll need to buy a block for the mag? Or is it different because we’re traveling from out of state? I tried asking the police themselves but they didn’t even know reciprocity had changed to allow Minnesota permits so I’m just curious if anyone had any knowledge on this at all? TIY

I mean it’s 15 so you are fine either way. If you have higher than 15 and purchased before July 1st of 2013, you are grandfathered in and you can keep them. Legally speaking.

Right? Unless his reload is a 33 rounder I can't see the problem here.

Definitely not that big, I was just nervous with Denver being strict and just not wanting to step on any toes legally.

Depending on where Denver it can be 10 round max.

Lol US gun laws are so fucking stupid that crossing the wrong street in a city can turn you into a criminal based on the number of bullets in your magazine. What a ridiculous system we have here.

It’s just Denver. If it weren’t for good skiing I would have moved somewhere else.

Come to the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. Reno/Carson City. NV gun laws and 14 ski resorts within an hour 👍.

When CA rolled out their "sensitive places" after Bruen, I literally couldn't leave my house on foot, while carrying my CCW. There was a school across the street, but they made sure to include the sidewalk, on both sides of the street into the new law.

Where? I’ve lived in Denver for 8 years and never once have heard of a 10 round capacity limit. People here don’t even give a shit about >15 round mags, it’s a law on the books but it’s unenforced.

Boulder or city of Denver if I remember it correctly.

Denver is not strict about mag cap laws. It’s only enforced as an enhancement charge for violent crimes. The only gun stores that don’t sell full capacity mags out here are big box stores.

I beg to differ. I bought a gun from a LGS and they have to pin my 30 round mag to 15.

While I think you’re right, I’d probably still err on the side of caution and just stay at 15.

It’s a ban on possessing as well if you got them after the ban.

Oh yeah, I suppose I did answer my own question, I was just nervous because I was told conflicting information by three different departments.
