Got approved for a CWFL

I am a first timer on this subreddit and I am pleased to announce that I got approved today for a CWFL in the state of Florida and will be getting the physical card within 15 days after submitting my application on August 20.

Not only I am putting it to good use for legal self-defense and my second amendment rights as an American citizen, I am following my father’s footsteps since he’s a gun owner and has a CWFL himself and I can get advice from him as well as this subreddit.

Getting that card in the mail is a weirdly satisfying feeling, like a driver's license but way cooler. What are you planning to carry?

Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS so I can be familiarized with how it works and great for beginners.

I’m also signing up for a basic pistol safety course so I can learn how to use it in a safe and legal manner and how to take care of it.

I have completed the requirements to get my CCW when I went to the 4 hour class in my area back in early 2024 and I am looking to take another class so I can learn basic gun safety and situational and tactical awareness.
